affirmations for myself:

there are lots of jobs, i am qualified for them. there are lots of jobs, i am capable of doing them. there are lots of jobs, they are out there. there are lots of jobs, i can get one. i am just as good as the next person for the jobs i will apply for, and if they do not pick me then there are lots of other places to be picked at. I will find something.

#hi i'm job hunting and it remains terrifying!#but needs must and i have been incredibly lucky to have been able to take time for myself #and there are things out there that i am capable of doing that are not going to push me beyond my limits #and also even some that i might enjoy doing!#i'm poking around on indeed first and then i'm going to get an idea of what i'm going to apply for so i can re-do my resume #and tailor any cover letters necessary #gotta say this process is a lot more intimidating without nepotism to help guide the way #only done it this way a couple of times and i am not looking forward to that!#where's my guy on the inside? where's the person who's going to vouch for me that they already trust?#come on i gotta have like an uncle or someone somewhere right? right???#(to be clear i have no actual desire to work with friends/family ever again)#(but it does fucking help in the Getting There process)
