This is part 2 of the comprehensive analysis of c!Tommy and c!Dream’s relationship during the Exile Arc

Part 1

So, initially I was thinking of making only one post with only the important quotes from this streams but... yeah, not saying what I think about stuff is not in my blood. So now I’m stuck with this and I’m determined to finish it!

Once again, it’s all about the characters from here on out and I will be mentioning serious themes of abuse and gaslighting, so keep that in mind.

We’re starting this one off with the second proper exile stream: Tommy Is Getting So Much Worse in Exile...

Mushroom Henry is introduced at the beginning of this vod. Initially Tommy doesn’t like him, believing him to be a poor replacement of the real Henry. He then goes towards Tnret and finds it compromised as Lazarbeam had planted some tnt under it the day before during a visit with Vikstar and Technoblade (now, how much of that visit was canon? No one knows! But the tnt part definitely was). Also to be noted that Tommy already stopped fighting back against mobs, which is already rather worrying.

Anyway, this is the stream where Tommy makes an enderchest with Fundy and Ranboo, so I will only write down some of the most notable quotes, and keep it rather brief. It is to be noted that Tommy’s depression at this point had already gotten worse as in the Nether time and time again he avoids doing the haybell mlg instead taking the full fall damage, he defends himself less and he’s already expressing feelings of loneliness. Also, he is now on the first stage of the exile skin set.

“Because if we can’t stay motivated then- then we won’t have anything to do (...) we’re gonna work out how to Keep Doing Things and not... sit around crying” (he has the need to keep busy to stave off loneliness)

“Now everyone, if you should know, we’re gonna go bach and reclaim everything at some point and kill Dream” (talking to chat)

“Music! It’s like a person but they’re not here!” (about Chirp)

“This is like, you know when you fall over? Or you know- or you know when one of your pets die? At school? And then all of a sudden you’re at school and you’re upset and all the people who are usually assholes to you start being nice all of a sudden. This is that!”

This was quite interesting, so I want to talk about it briefly: but this is Tommy’s general mentality. He sees anyone trying to help him or giving him things as just pity from people who don’t actually care nor necessarily even like him. Basically, he feels betrayed and alone and doesn’t actually think that any of this people could possibly care. This however doesn’t seem like a mentality that’s born from exile (since he’s had it since the very beginning of exile) and we don’t actually know where it generated from. Though it could possibly be from the fact that he always had to be very independent since he had to fight in quite a few wars and even take the leading position in the Pogtopia times.

Other note: this is when Ranboo starts leaving letters for Tommy (You can find Tommy and Ranboo's mail exchanges here). At the beginning the chest they used to exchange them was situated on the Nether side of the original portal, which was a ruined portal a bit further away from Tommy’s camp. Also Tommy dies in lava (not canonically) a ton of times in this one and Fundy every times gives him some of his stuff to pretend like nothing got burned (which was kinda adorable).

“Fundy why didn’t you come with me when I got exiled? I was meaning to ask you. ‘Cause no-one came with me” “No-one came with you because it was- *sigh* Tommy I don’t know! It was- it was a shock to all of us” “You could have came with- yeah, but you just let me go. You just let go on me Fundy” “And- and just leave L’Manburg to Tubbo himself? Like all alone?” “No he would have had like literally everyone else on this server” “Like who?” (I just found this exchange interesting)

“I don’t think you’ll like it but Dream is uh, kind of proud of Tubbo. He- he’s actually acknowledging L’Manburg as a new country now” (and this is what the other side of the manipulation looked like from the outside)

“Wait wait! I could talk to the narrator! Then I’d finally have a friend!” (proceeds to start talking to the narrator)

“No no no. No no no Ranboo. Stop- stop complaining. Stop being weird Ranboo. You should be honoured to have a friend that’s close enough that he shoots you” “I don’t think that’s a ‘friend’, I think that’s just an assassin” (Ranboo with the common sense)

“This is where I used to live and then Dream tore it down” “Why did Dream tear it down?” “*sigh* I don’t know”

"Look guys: this is the song of a female astronaut named Clara” (about Chirp)

The vod ends with Tommy and Ghostbur’s attempt at saving Lazarbeam from lava and Ghostbur gifting Tommy the “Your Tubbo” compass.

Moving on: Tommy Is So Lonely in Exile with Dream

This is actually the first stream where Tommy starts off drowning (and he actually dies, yet again, non canonically). Also Puffy gifts him some blue wool, 3 diamonds and his own Christmas tree, specifying that it’s not out of pity so he actually accepts the present.

“We’ve got some things to do. I’m still feeling um... I’m not feeling I AM very very very alone. Just- just so- just lonely all of the time... which isn’t, you know? Isn’t okay. I don’t know why I was at the bottom of the ocean just holding a bone”

Now, a bit to unpack here. In real time by now it had been 3-4 days technically, but in rp it has been specified already multiple times that it had been quite a few days since Tommy got exiled and we don’t really have any reason to believe that he received any more visits then what we’ve seen. Which probably increased his loneliness. Also we don’t have an actual explaination for him waking up drowning, my best guess for it is a mix of him being suicidal and general depression making it hard to get any proper rest (which we know was the case for him since he did mention at one point that he “didn’t sleep anymore”) which could have caused him to start sleepwalking since both “not getting enough sleep” and “stress and anxiety” are listed as causes of it. Now the actual subconcious reason as to why he was going in the sea and letting himself drown is unknown but, again, he was suicidal while in exile.

Also “How to Sex 2″ got burned by Ghostbur, not volountarily of course, he just had it on him when he died in lava.

“I’m too lonely to be angry now, alright? We got to appreciate all the friends that we can get” (about Lazarbeam bringing him a present)

“The compass is nice though! We’ve got a compass that always will point to Tubbo... not that- not that he’d care” (beginning of the doubts about his old friends)

“Tubbo has one too? [referring to the compass] Oh he’ll just- if he’s got one he’s just using it for show... he’s- I’ve accepted that he’s the president now and I’m just- I’m just that guy he had to exile to show how powerful he was” (again, doubts)

Also Tommy makes his first path to Logstedshire in this stream. He also takes a liking to Mushroom Henry here after figuring out he could produce mushroom soup, meaning he actually had a sustainable source of food instead of having to relay mostly on handouts.

“Guys we need some more coal” *Dream joins the game* “...ooooooh no please don’t come and visit me. Please please please” (I’m leaving this here, I believe this reaction speaks for itself)

“Hey! I’m- I’m above right now by the pretty Christmas tree that there is here” “Why are you here?” “I’m visiting you!” “Last time you said that you ruined me” “I- How did I ruin you?” “*sigh* Hi Dream!” “Hello~” “What have you- what” “Where are you at?” “I’m just com- why are you here? Every time you’ve been here you’ve done something destructive” “I- I what- I haven’t done anything destructive... everything’s been fine! I haven’t destroyed anything”

At the time there were a lot of people who were hesitant at calling Dream’s manipulation “gaslighting”, as that is a precise type of manipulation, but this right here? This is an example of gaslighting. Dream destroyed everything Tommy had every time he visited him and they both know this, still what Dream is trying to do here is convince Tommy that that never happened to keep up his friendly facade. Just because he isn’t saying directly “you can’t trust what you remember” doesn’t mean that that’s not exactly what he is implying. To reiterate this point they meet up right after and Dream, once again, blows up Tommy’s armour and diamond sword:

“Hello~ take your armour off” “Why should I take my armour off?” “Um, drop it down here” “No, no! I worked really hard to get this. No!” “Okay... you can get it again!” “No! See this is what I told you about, that you’re destructive to me” “Tommy I’m not destructive... but, listen, you gotta drop it” (...) “No, no! I’m a rebellious teenager. I don’t listen to green punks” *Dream hits Tommy with an axe* “*screams* Okay okay okay okay okay”

Again, Dream hitting Tommy in this case is portrayed as physical abuse. And then Dream goes back to acting as if nothing ever happened, going on to talk about his day, telling Tommy that he knows about the 2 compasses and telling him that Tubbo went over while Tommy wasn’t there and that he is free to visit Tommy, he just hasn’t done it yet (all of this are actually true, but the implication that Tubbo didn’t want to see Tommy obviously isn’t).

“Dream, I think I’ve realized why no-one’s came to see me” “Why’s that?” “It’s because- it’s because there is not an easy way to get to me and I’m gonna make an easy way to get to me today” “I mean, if you boat here, it took me 2 minutes” “No no-one wants to use the boat, it’s too far- it’s too far for people” “Oh you know what Tommy? I’ll do you a favour”

This is when Dream moves Tommy’s portal. Now, one thing that I want to point out is that Dream had already intercepted Ranboo’s and Tommy’s first mail book (we know this because in Ranboo’s message at the beginning of this stream he said that the first one disappeared) so he probably knew that Ranboo was using the secrecy of the further away portal to communicate with Tommy undetected. Of course Dream can’t have that, though he probably didn’t account for Ranboo not giving up that easily.

“Well it’s very awkward considering you exiled me and- and have banished me from being around all of my friends and now are trying to side with me it’s kinda-” “Tommy what’d you mean from all your friends? I’m your friend!” “Yeah... yeah you are” “I am your friend Tommy~” “Yeah I- Yeeeeeah, Dream” (just to clarify: Tommy is not agreeing with Dream here, he is being sarcastic. Also Dream starts harping a bit more on this point from here on out)

“Oh I just witnessed another suicide...” (second time this happens, the first was in the last vod, and he stays staring at the lava for a moment)

Tommy once again trying to push Dream into lava (again similarly to how he did in the first proper exile stream) and Dream just goes along with it (mostly just to flex about how that can’t actually kill him). I consider this couple of times as the first times Tommy started lashing out in exile.

“Health and safety is important Dream! *staring at lava* Is it though?” “Yes, yes it’s important Tommy. It’s not your time to die”

“And then you’re coming over here giving me shit and also burning my shit. You’re just- you’re just a monster” “I didn’t burn any of your shit” “You blew it up! You exploded it! Man you’re ruining my life...” “I blew it up, I didn’t burn it though” (because that makes all the difference of course...)

“Hey man I could jump and you’d be able to do nothing about it and I’d- I’d be done-zo” “I- I ask you please not to” “Okay” “I need you alive and well”

Now I found this interesting when first watching as well, but Dream really did spell it out for us that he actually needed Tommy, huh? Like, in retrospect, what Dream then intended to do in the Season 2 Finale seemed kind of obvious. Also after that They have a discussion about the enderchest, but Tommy gets to keep it. Also Ranboo appears at the portal, though Dream doesn’t manage to see who it is and Ranboo manages to escape before he sees (thanks in part to Tommy distracting Dream). Now I want to point out that, even if outwardly people had the permission to visit Tommy, the fact that everyone was so scared about Dream finding out about it talks volume about how clear that was. Also this is when Dream gives Tommy the general direction of Technoblade’s cabin.

“Look at us go... hey why don’t you just un-exile me, you know? You know?” “*laughs* Well I think that I- I- I think that maybe there is a possibility at least in the- in the future that you could- you could- you know? Get a visitor’s pass...” (notice that he only confirmed a possibility for a visitor’s pass, not for actually going back, Dream literally never meant for Tommy to go back permanently)

Lazarbeam arrives to visit Tommy at this point to gift him Far and a fire resistence potion.

“See I told you! It was because I didn’t have a bridge that nobody was coming to visit me Dream! It wasn’t because it was me” “Yeah it must be...”

“Hey Dream come and listen to this man! [talking about Far]” “I-I’m-” “Hey, promise you won’t- If I get a new disc you wouldn’t mind would you?” “No I wouldn’t” “Okay, come and listen. I trust you now, now we’ve bonded” (Is this the second time Tommy invites Dream to listen to a disc with him?)

At this point Dream pressures Lazarbeam to mug Tommy with him and the whole scene is just pretty weird, but it boils down to Dream blowing Tommy’s armour up (again), while also hitting him a bit more when he doesn’t immediately comply (basically making this humiliating and making Tommy understand that he is not any safer with someone else there). Though Tommy does end up lashing out and killing Lazarbeam (not canonically) and Dream destroys his enderchest in retaliation. After that Tommy does become more submissive, not wanting to get killed. Now I want to point out that that same day Dream had agreed that Tommy could keep his enderchest without any conditions to it, but, of course, Dream’s rules are constantly changing. Dream does leave after that for a bit.

“I put your enderchest back by the way Tommy” “Really?” “Yeah. I just wanted to prevent you from putting his armour in there so... that’s why I broke it” “Thank you! Thank you” “You’re welcome”

Wanna know why this is bullshit? Tommy didn’t even try to go towards the enderchest when he had Lazarbeam’s armour and immediately gave it up at Dream’s request. This is just Dream giving Tommy a “reward” for being compliant after punishing him. Also pointing out the fact that Tommy felt compelled to thank Dream even if Dream was the one who caused the issue he just fixed in the first place. Also Connor arrives as well.

“Yeah you can’t move into my home Connor” “Well I mean, of course he can because it’s not your home because you’re not going back” “What do you mean I’m not going back?” “Well as I said maybe potentially you could get a visitors pass” (reiterating a point from the start)

“Tubbo- Tubbo said that! Tubbo said it [the server] looked so much better since Tommy left. And I was like ‘wait what?’ and he’s like: ‘yeah it could be a coincidence though but I don’t think so'” (you manipulative green bastard)

“I don’t know if you know this but I’ve been constructing a- a uh- a prison and it is ginormous so...” (I did not remember Dream mentioning the prison this early on)

Anyway, the stream ends with Dream stripping for primes and since I need it, I decided that that’s canon.

I have a lot so I'll separate them by ship, I guess (since I only really write the same ones lol)

FrostIron

- 30 Day OTP Porn Challenge: I've still got 12 days left to do. Day 19 has a... wobbly outline.

- College AU smutty one-shot for a friend: outline/prompt was given to me by said friend. Tony's an exchange student living in London, where he bumps into fresh from Norway student Loki, who needs help getting around. Tony offers to help, things lead to things. Smut.

- Fools Rush In: previously posted six completed chapters, but I hit a bad writer's block and took it down. I hope to someday finish it. it was one of the first long fics I started that was in-universe.

- Real Genius AU: semi-outlined, based on the 1985 movie with Val Kilmer. Chris Knight gives off heavy Tony Stark-vibes.

- Royals AU - outlined, a couple of chapters written. Kind of got the idea from the E! show The Royals. It's an ambitious fic, too. It was the first fic I brought in other characters besides the core Avengers, such as Erik Lehnsherr, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, and tbh if I were to start working on this today, I'd throw in Sam Wilson and maybe other characters.

- The Flame: another, like FRI, that was previously published on AO3. Up to five chapters, lots of scenes written but not strung together yet. Initially looks like ThunderFrost, but it is inevitably FrostIron (no Thor and Loki were not brothers). Idk if I'll ever get back to this one tbh.

- The House Guest: the storyline is all planned out, but I've only written two chapters. It's genderbent -- Antonia Stark and fem Loki Laufeyson. I've even got edits done. I'm hoping to work on it this year.

MaLoki

- Live-action Maleficent/Thor movies crossover: I've had this one in my WIP pile for almost a decade. It was something cooked up with @vikishus around the time the first Maleficent movie came out (I think). I've just never sat down to write anything for it.

Stucky

- Musician!Bucky and Firefighter!Steve, modern day au: has a storyline, and a few pieces/scenes written. (Mixed in is some SamTasha)

- The Greatest Showman-ish AU: some idea jotted down after repeated viewings of the movie lol

- Every Piece Will Find Its Place: post-Winter Soldier prompt given to me anonymously; storyline sketched out, opening written

- 1950s Matinee Idol AU: an idea I sketched from a tumblr post I saw forever ago

ThunderFrost

- Hurricane: sequel to my one ThunderFrost fic, Lead the Way. The plot's kinda there and some bits.

WinterFrost

- The Christmas Date: my perpetual almost-done gift for a good friend. It's literally nearly done. But I can't seem to get it down.

- All I Ask: my artist!Loki and recovering vet!Bucky AU. Been working on it for about five years now. Four chapters are done, with other scenes, and a full plot sketched out.

- Nobody's Hero: a prompt sent to me anonymously that's canon divergent. Bucky and Loki meet and fall in love in the 1940s, then Bucky goes off to war and the first Cap movie ensues. Fast forward to the present day, Loki finds Winter Soldier!Bucky and fights to break through his Hydra brainwashing.

- Second Time Around: like Fools Rush In and The Flame, I removed this from AO3 when I hit a block. Three chaps and a plot 3/4 written. Bucky is more a mix of Bucky and TJ from Political Animals (cuz I started it around the time that was on the air).

- Whatever It Takes: my single Dad AU. Seven chaps completed. The whole plot done. Just gotta write it!

- Snow/Zima RP: my attempt to transform my long ago RP with my ex into a more readable fic-like story. It's not easy lol.

WinterFrostIron

- I have a random OT3 prompt waiting to be written with these three. 🤷🏽‍♀️

WinterIron

- Bodyguard AU: got a plotline and a few scenes. Hoping to work on this soon.

- Alt Prompt 12: I posted a prompt for #12 in the 100 Ways to Say ILY challenge already, but I had another idea I sketched out that was totally different. Still might make a good one-shot.

- @teadrinkingwolfgirl's angst prompt: it's a blank doc staring at me in my Google drive.

Random Ships

- Harley/Bucky: I don't remember who sent this to me. But it's basically a DC/Marvel crossover. Joker's involved with Hydra, Harley is his Asset. She bolts, the Winter Soldier is sent after her.

- Loki/? Xmas prompt: one of those random Xmas prompts that make the rounds every year. Haven't decided who to pair him with yet.

- Fantasy Rom/Com starring Chris Pine and Tom Hiddleston: Okay, so this was taken from a random article online about fantasy romcoms that would be fun. This was one. And I was like, yo, I could write that. So far all I have is the prompt lol.

Thess vs Organisation

New gaaaaaaaaaames!

Also new handbag. Honestly, not sure which I like more. I am Adulting, maybe. Or maybe I just have that whole late Gen-X / early Millennial thing of really appreciating good utilitarian Stuff.

So, yeah, a couple of my Christmas gifts this year were slightly deferred owing to parental confusion. Late this morning, my stepfather dropped by with the two bits that had to be a bit late - Steam gift cards (£40 worth), and new handbag.

The new handbag is great - fits my Kindle, pocket in the front for my phone (which also serves as my commute-music machine), and even two separate main pouches. I’ve divided them up well for my needs, I think. So I have one for the utilitarian, “I’m in and out of that pouch all the time” stuff - wallet, keys, Oyster card, Kindle. The other pouch is “needful but circumstantial” stuff - tissues, tampons, lip balm, various meds (because I need to carry around a lot of those; Lactaid, painkillers, antacids for if I’m not reacting well to NSAIDs, which happens).

Jae’s Handy Haversack, folks.

New games, though - the £40 of Steam wallet card came just in time to take advantage of the Christmas Steam sale, with some extra thrown in from “We will throw money at you for making nice things” now that I don’t need that money to ... y’know, just plain survive. So I picked up the following:

Call of Cthulu (wish list item; also because one of my guys wanted me to have it and couldn’t give it to me so it had to be done)

Nier: Automata (wish list item; I’m interested to see what Squeenix does with something that’s not Final Fantasy)

Solasta Crown of the Magister (wish list item; I’m bound to find one of these “let’s make a single player tabletop experience but in a VIDEO GAME” things I actually like)

Undertale (wasn’t on my wish list but it was on serious sale and I hear good things)

House Flipper (look, building simulators and the like are my Zen jam, okay?)

Four fairly random hidden object games (because anxiety sufferers gotta Zen)

Not bad for a little over £60, huh? Particularly given that the same amound would get you maybe one shiny new game, maybe plus its DLC, at the current moment. I’ll spare you the rant about the games industry for now; that deserves its own post, and anyway, I have shit to do today.

Not only are my sinuses hating me right now, I go back to work tomorrow, I have D&D tonight, I had other RP stuff last night until late and had to be up early to at least be up and dressed when my stepfather turned up, and I’d rather not start my first workday of 2021 underslept. Also roasting up my pork loin picked up in Glorious Shop yesterday and a trip to the shops to pick up something potato-ish for said roast pork.

Sorry for my small absence. I had vertigo for a week, and I have zero clue as to how that happened. But hello! I’m back and I’m feeling better. I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and safe start to the New Year!

Here are some RP Updates: I apologize for late replies, and lack of making starters or replying to IMs. I want to make a better comeback so I can only try my best to reply to things as I go forward. If you want to drop something old, you’ve moved/renamed your blog, or want something from a muse, let me know! I won’t be upset, I am slow as a turtle. I do look forward to everything I have in my drafts, so don’t let that be the waver your decision to write with me.

I have a ton of muses. Some I added on impulse or were obsessed with. I do try to put the same effort in to each and every muse I have, whether they’re popular or not. Come love me! I’ll maybe purge a few but we’ll see. Feel free to hit me up, or keep an eye out for a fresh new starter call coming soon! I just want to keep my blogs active.

Anyways, I sincerely to apologize to everyone-- I hate keeping people waiting, and I know it’s because I’m distracted and my brain hates me. Some days I don’t want to be here, and there are also days I write like crazy. Winter just sucks and makes me really depressed. And so, it makes me imagine replying in my head or talking about headcanons and not doing any work. I get very distracted, and I apologize. Or I disappear, come back, add new muses, do nothing and repeat the process. But as someone who wants to be a writer in the future, I gotta try my butt at being better. I think I might be switching some new muses/getting rid of muses who haven’t been used in ages too. So far, I’ve changed my theme and changed Nora for my new muse Ronan. I also have Corrine and Birdie, who don’t get a lot of interactions, so either I’ll have to do something about it and post opens, or retire them for a bit. Birdie is probably going to stay; she’s my baby. Y’all better stop sleeping on older faceclaims/muses!

nathan ‘nate’ sinclair was born on november 7th, 1998 to christopher and amelia sinclair. he was the middle child of three.

and as the stereotype goes, the middle child is the forgotten child. which was definite for nate. he always got his older brothers hand me downs. for christmas, he got toys that his older brother had gotten before that he was now bored of

the sinclair family were originally born and raised in a small village known as lacock, wiltshire in england.

christopher and amelia sinclair were two extremely religious parents who devoted their lives to the church and and spoke highly of the bible. nate’s father would read a passage before each meal they shared together.

money was always an issue for the sinclair family. they were almost only going to send the eldest brother to school because they couldn’t afford it. but christopher prayed every day for a better life for their family

and that was when christopher was offered a huge job opportunity across the globe in south carolina, usa. he was convinced that this was as a result of the workings of god.

not too long later, their home in lacock was sold and the family got the most affordable flight to south carolina.

they moved to crawford when nate was fourteen years old

nate immediately took a liking to the states. previously, he had always struggled to make friends because he wasn’t one to talk much. he’d always been socially awkward. but living here, he made a friend in his neighborhood quite quickly ( AVAILABLE PLOT ? )

his siblings were his friends before but when they moved to the usa, his brother and sister found their own friends and quickly, they drifted apart. what was once endless laughter and cheers quickly turned into yelling and constant arguing.

when nate was 17, he was around that age when he was beginning to explore his sexuality. the worst mistake he ever made was doing just that but at his own home. that night when his dad walked in on his son straddling the lap of some boy was by far the worst night of his life. ( AVAILABLE PLOT ? )

he grabbed his arm and pulled him off the other, and yelled ‘how could you?!’ over and over, as if nate had done something wrong.

for months, christopher didn’t speak to his son. he watched him with disapproving stares, eyes of pure disgust. the tension at the dinner table was awful. and nate noticed how his dad always make sure to quote particular passages in the bible. every night.

“For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her,” or “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh,”

Nate tried to explain to his father that he did love women. but he loved men too. and that wasn’t a bad thing. christopher didn’t want to hear a word of it, and insisted that there was something wrong with nate for him to think like that.

not even half a year later, nate’s dad lost his job. the only source of income was nate’s mother, amelia, on minimum wage at the local cafe. immediately, christopher took it out on nate. he blamed it on him, insisting that it was god punishing them for nate’s sins.

the constant mental abuse from his father left nate in a way that could be described in no other way then sad, lonely, and insecure. he felt as if the whole world was against him. any friends he had, he slowly drifted from and struggled to make anymore.

he spent almost every day in his room, keeping to himself and perhaps reading or learning something new. something nate prided himself in was his intelligence. he was always top of the class, and had never in his life failed a test. he actually enjoyed studying, because it was one of the few things that distracted his mind. his dream was to some day be able to afford college, or get a scholarship somewhere.

as nate got older, he found that it actually wasn’t as scary walking into the local pub and ordering yourself a drink underage. the first few times, he was rejected because the bar tender knew his family. but when the gossip spread that the owner of the pub had passed away, and someone else had bought it, nate found himself as a regular customer. a whole year passed, and he wasn’t asked for id.

now that he’s 21, he wished he was because he could now show off his age card.

since he started going out more, going to the pub or the few take aways around town, nate discovered a new way to distract his mind. a way almost as enjoyable as studying. sex. is he really kinky ? that’s a secret he’d never tell. xoxo

was he embarrassed that he quickly became known as one of the biggest fuck boys around the village ? not at all. nate stopped caring a long time ago. what was the point?

besides, he didn’t understand why people were so mad. all he wanted was a quick hook up with no strings attached. it wasn’t his fault that some people just didn’t understand that.

nate wasn’t the greatest flirt but with a smirk and some showing off of his dimples, he could get his way.

but nate hated people who played hard to get. if you’re going to drag it on, then he didn’t have time for you. why? because nate knows he has a tendency to fall for anyone who’s nice to him.

last time someone was all cute, and nice and kind and adorable and teased him and played hard to get and was all annoying but beautiful...nate spent a good week crying because they didn’t like him back. ( AVAILABLE PLOT ? )

he swore to never embarrass himself like that again but it was only a matter of time.

because he’s a crier and he hates that.

nate tries to act like he doesn’t care but he so cares. in reality, he’s quite the softy. he cries reading books or watching sad movies, he falls weak when people kiss his forehead, he loves cuddling. he’ll never admit it but he’d actually like to get married and have kids some day. but not for a long time.

for now, his dream is college and to make enough money to travel the world and prove his parents wrong. or to just move out and away from his god awful family.

he may come across as rude or standoffish or like an asshole but it’s all an act, do not be fooled. he will start fights to seem cool but end up getting his ass beat.

he does love gossip and drama but hates being involved. if he hears about something happening, he needs to know about it.

BnHA Chapter 242: SANTA IS REAL

Previously on BnHA: We said farewell to the League of Pliff and were finally reunited with the kids of U.A., an institution which I would just like to point out is so diametrical to the League that they literally took the polar opposite route when choosing their name, and focused only on the acronym. I’m 100% sure U.A. doesn’t even stand for anything. Anyway, so Bakugou and Todoroki went on whirlwind press tour following their ch 219 antics, and the resulting interviews were so disastrous that Aizawa decided to bring in Mt. Lady to give the whole class a crash course in PR 101. Meanwhile All Might scoured Ancestry.com for info on the past users of OFA, and Rat Principal announced that U.A. was going to resume its internship program. This is great news for Deku, who’s been taking his sweet time mastering Blackwhip. Like, we’re not even talking baby steps here so much as little tiny flea steps. Kid’s going to need all the help he can get.

Today on BnHA: Horikoshi targets all of my weak points at once. The My OT3 Academia arc gets off to an incredible, award-winning start with a Christmas party and the announcement of Internships 2: This Time, it’s Compulsory. Highlights include: (1) Kaminari and Mina forcing Bakugou to accept the spirit of Christmas into his heart and soul, (2) Iida rocking a Santa beard, (3) Eri holding a giant sword, (4) Bakugou reminiscing about his internship with Best MIA Jeanist, specifically the part where Jeanist was all “A HERO’S NAME IS REALLY IMPORTANT AND SYMBOLIC AND MEANINGFUL, SO YOU NEED TO THINK VERY CAREFULLY ABOUT IT” and oh my fucking god, and lastly (5) Todoroki inviting Bakugou and Deku to come intern with him at the Endeavor Hero Agency (known for its famous business slogan: “Got Plot?”). It’s like I wished on seventeen different falling stars and they all came true at once. I still can’t even fucking process this. kfkdslgk.

(All comments are my unspoiled reactions from my initial readthrough of the chapter. I did a quick edit for grammar and clarity immediately afterward, and added a few ETAs in the process, but aside from that there are no changes.)

I just got like three excited-seeming asks (I haven’t actually read them yet) in rapidfire succession less than an hour ago, and my dashboard is now filling up with filtered “bnha spoilers” posts, so I took this as a sign that I should read the new chapter ASAP. oh gosh

(1) SAMEEEEEE, and (2) YEEEEEEEEP. listen I’m not religious you guys, but I said “oh my god” so much while reading this chapter that I wouldn’t be surprised if he or she finally answers and is like, “YES!? WHAT IS IT???”)

what new state-of-the-art tomfoolery will our intrepid heroes engage in this week. what novel hijinks will they commence. what frivolous escapades will they embark on this lovely Friday morn?

oh shit, Nezu’s saying it’s now a government requirement. I got so surprised I actually forgot to call him RP

because ain’t nothing safer than hero internships. if the Basement arc taught us nothing else. it’s that

that was sarcasm in case that’s not coming across. this is clearly a baffling decision. but what are government committees for if not for making baffling decisions I guess

and now Midnight is coming to the same conclusion I was starting to wonder at

can someone please tell me what the PSC’s goals actually are, then? is this not the same group that recently changed the rules of the provisional license exam so that an even smaller percentage of people would pass? so do you want more heroes or fewer? which is it?

how do they cope with it? does anyone even have any idea?? it seems to me like they’re just throwing them to the wolves. we have this problem that we have absolutely no idea what to do about, oh I know, let’s toss a bunch of inexperienced kids at it. and hope that none of them gets murdered I guess

anyway so The Sheriff is speculating that the League must have been involved in the Deika situation, and he’s wondering why the PSC is trying so hard to keep it on the dl

oh yeah. friendly reminder that the PSC, thanks to Hawks, probably knows exactly how powerful Tomura and the League have recently become. so they know full well how shark-infested the waters are, and they’re making it mandatory for the kids to all take swimming lessons. nice

lol back when I was brainstorming ideas for future arcs, I seriously thought Horikoshi would have to go out of his way to come up with excuses for the kids to have future encounters with the League, because the school was so concerned with their safety that they wouldn’t allow them to leave the grounds except on rare occasions. well I sure got that one wrong. though to be fair, for once it isn’t U.A. that’s doing the child endangering here

(ETA: and actually, regardless of how insane it is, I do appreciate that when shit inevitably hits the fan again, at least it won’t be U.A.’s fault this time. I’d like to be able to continue rooting for them, and that can be difficult when they keep doing reckless things that needlessly put children in danger. at least this time they’re not the ones driving the Stupid Bus to Bad Decision School.)

a message to who? the League?? “we’re not scared of you”?? did they seriously not think of all the numerous ways this could backfire?

well there you have it. the government is drafting teenagers to risk their lives dealing with a crisis they won’t out-and-out admit they’re actually having. on today’s episode of “Oh Hero Society, You’ve Got Problems”

anyway so RP is making the admittedly good point that “we’re fucked and everyone is in terrible danger” is hardly a new state of affairs for them these days, and so they’re all moving on. okay then. good talk. lol. gonna need my damn Christmas fluff after all of that

Mineta debating anyone who will listen over the merits of the song Baby It’s Cold Outside. the naturally Christmas-themed Todoroki savoring this, his time to shine
