#got me upset abt lawn flamingos now#wym all those jokes in movies with them was the upper class making fun of the working class#damnnn#i saw one in someone's yard and was like yaknow what why are those a thing?#they started in Massachusetts actually#also hippies hated them bc plastic#one article i read called them “the patron saints of all that is trashy and tawdry”#which i find a lil funny#evidently they also became a sort of rebellion symbol#a middle finger to hoas and fancy rich people in a way#looking at these flamingos like theyre rock stars now
