To Myrna,

The training of the newest batch of initiates is going well. The Mourn Watch are lucky to have such a talented scout as you. Although one among them stands out like a sore thumb, Ingevllar. I was uncertain of the legitimacy of his claim when he spoke of his lineage. However true or not, he has a reverence for the dead and our necromancers, and a hungry curiosity to know even the most intricate of our rituals.

If only his fervor could manifest magical talent. Even using the aligned crystals we have for such initiates he cannot perform the simplest of the rites that require spells. I write this to inform you that I’m sending Ingevllar back to you, for guidance in the combat arts. Afterall, Watchers still require warriors to assist on expeditions and the quelling of milign spirits. He was joyously grateful that I assured him we could still welcome him as a full member of the Watchers, albeit in a different capacity than he had expected. Do take care, as I shall be glad to see him again later.

Ma, you wouldn’t believe what happened the other day! A Qunari knocked on the door to our farmhouse. But not just a Qunari, a Qunari necromancer from Nevarra. What kind of combination is that?

I know you said posting my trouble about the old well would bring the wrong sort. I was terrified me self, until the mortalitasi explained that the demon—well he said spirit—haunting the well was gone. Didn’t even ask for payment, said something about duty when I asked. But, you know me, I don’t like owing people, even strange Nevarran Qunari. So I made sure to hand him a coin purse before he left.

Anyways now that the well is clear a bigger harvest is expected this year. Tell da I love him, and we’ll get together soon.

Hello! This is Gossman Ingevllar, those closest to him call him Goat.

Age: 29 He/Him Pan

He’s a warrior of the Watchers. Growing up amongst the dead had its trials and more than a few times he felt out of place. Even now he still doesn’t know how his infant self came to the Necropolis.

He’s stoic when among others taking the charge to get things done. But he does have a softer side, will explore that more later ;)

Good gifts include tea, blankets, and fragrant things(soap, bath bubbles, cologne. If it smells nice he’d appreciate it.)

Bad gifts are very sour/tart things. Also cigarettes as he only smokes what he rolls himself.

Gilleon Cordus-

Opposite to Rhys, Gil loves tarts and citrus.Besides that he can be pretty materialistic so money or valuable items are a safe bet.

Bad gifts: keep this man AWAY from alcohol. He’s not an alcoholic, but he just gets lost in the sauce with many a “hold my beer” impulses and -20 control.

Kressha Thorne-

Her life as a Warden meant not keeping a lot of unnecessary possessions. She’d rather just hang out and spend time with people she cares about in lieu of gifts. Though a new sword or shield when her current gear gets worn would make her very grateful.

Secretly she has a little wooden figure of herself from Davrin that she keeps on her person.

He’s partial to golden jewelry and accessories Or pieces with emeralds. He’s never not contemplating pieces to add to his grave gold collection. Even if he won’t keep it for his collection he’ll still keep it because he appreciates the sentiment.

He’d like to believe there isn’t such a thing as a bad gift, but lilies and flowers of that kind give him hay fever and if exposed for too long he will break out in an itchy rash.

Gossman(Goat) Ingevllar

Fool — where did their journey begin? What were they doing before joining Veilguard?

For the most part Goat has the standard watcher background. Growing up in Nevarra, he developed an insatiable curiosity and eagerness to learn at a very young age. Despite his hopes, he never manifested magic, but was still glad to be able to remain in the watchers as a warrior.

As a young adult(18-20)—before he became somewhat infamous— he was part of a small expedition into the shrouded halls that included Emmrich. That is when he first met and felt his soul fall in love with the senior necromancer, but he felt that to express his feelings would only cause the man to patronize him. They parted on friendly terms, but never met again until the events of Veilguard.

Temperance — what do they do to deal with the stress of their situation?

When he can find the time, his favorite way to destress is with a glass of aged wine and a book. Any subject will do, but he likes medical journals and notes/field studies the best.

Once they are together, he also really enjoys spending time with Emmrich in the necropolis. Leisure walks in the gardens or tending to the dead or other watcher duties. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing, Gossman is happy as long as they are spending time together.
