hoyoverse selfships & first meetings!

kaeya: he first encounters me on a business trip to sumeru! he tends to work a little time for pleasure into his schedules and this time around he decided to catch a performance being put on by my troupe! out of everyone on stage, i catch his eye but i don’t have the chance to really meet him at that point in time. fast forward to my troupe’s trip to mondstadt—our caravan is attack by hilichurls. kaeya happens to be patrolling the area and lends us a hand in making sure they’re dealt with. he recognizes me when i’m thanking him and is a bit thrilled when i personally invite him to our performance.

scara/wanderer: i’m first introduced to the wanderer through the akademiya. we never really share a proper greeting, however, “hat guy” tends to draw a lot of stares, mine included—but he pays them little mind. when i eventually choose to prioritize dancing over the akademiya, i don’t see him nearly as often. though, after one of my performances when i’m making my rounds to thank the audience for stopping by, i see that he’s accompanying nahida. i thank them both for attending and steal at glance which i am surprised to see him meet. although, instead of saying anything, he simply smirks.

boothill: my first time seeing boothill is through an illustration on a piece of paper with his bounty. the IPC has his wanted posters plastered just about everywhere they can reach so they’re not hard to miss. as a bounty hunter, i’m intrigued and take the moment to consider whether or not the price they want for his head is worth my time and effort. though, before i have the chance to make up my mind, there’s a gun pressed to my back and the very man i contemplated serving up on a silver platter has all but reversed our positions.

dan heng: word of dan heng’s existence as the reincarnation of dan feng travels like wildfire among those directly involved with his misdeeds—myself included. like many, i have unfinished business that requires settling. when i’m able to track him down, there’s no mistaking him—he’s a spitting image of the one who came before him, who caused so many people irreparable misfortune. he’s lucky that he had cloud-piercer at the ready—i wasn’t too keen on talking with words anyway.
