If you don't have too many already I would *love* a ship! I'm 5'6" and about as average as can be, brown haired, brown eyed, but I have an infectious smile and I love making people laugh. I am *the* mom-friend and the absolute best person to have on your bar trivia team. I love spending time outside hiking in the woods and riding my bike, I read a lot, and when I'm not working I volunteer at a local museum telling people about women in WW2. (I do a pretty good nurse impression at the moment.)
GEORGE LUZ was in love with you even before you were telling jokes. It was your smile. And how warm it was, and welcoming and infectious! Every time he talked to you, you were smiling and the best thing was you were smiling and telling a funny joke. George Luz could hop on that.
He found himself being drawn to your presence, because your laugh always made him smile, your jokes always made him laugh, and the way you immediately captured the attention of the entire room, easily drew the attention from anyone else even himself, he was entranced by you. He loved the way your deep, brown eyes shined brightly when you talked. He always found a way to flirt with you, a flirtatious comment that always seemed to start with your smile or eyes. You told him off but he would look after you like a lost puppy, eyes shining.
It was like he was intimidated. But he didn’t let that on. He foudn himself though laughing at your jokes, and looking in your general direction more often. The company went to the bar often during training, especially in Aldbourne and Bill was always dragging you into bar trivia and well George felt obligated to join. He was also impressed by how much you knew. He thought it was hot. ;)
When the jump neared, you became the protective mother figure that many of the men needed. The night before, George was sitting on his bunk, cracking a joke with Skinny, watching as you talked with Malarkey, just about the jump in general. Everyone was jumpy and you always found a way to calm them down with a smile and a joke.
George always found himself laughing at your impressions and you always found yourself laughing at his. ( He thought you did a pretty good Marlene Dietrich impression if he did say so himself.)
As the war drug on, you two found yourself drawing closer and closer together. Late night OP duty together, runs into different towns for supplies, sharing foxholes in the rain. You always found yourself with George and you were ALWAYS laughing and telling jokes. Bill Guarnere had to go and tell you guys to he quiet while you were all in Bastogne. You were basically the two joksters that were oblviously in love.
When the war had ended and you were all in Austria, George had managed to get a hold of bikes you could ride around the town of Zell Am See. Most of the time it was you chatting and George staring at you with a smile on his face, before almost crashing. The nights always ended with you two lying side by side in a field, the bikes discared staring at the stars.
He gave you a kiss that night as well ;)
You also went hiking through the Austrian Alps together, and would look out from the mountaintops at the lake of Zell Am See. George thought you looked beautiful with your brown hair waving in the wind, and your smile painted against the gorgous back drop, your brown eyes scrunched up from a smile and a laugh leaving your lips. George just loves seeing you happy and smiling.
After the war, when you two got home, he asked you to marry him, and you of course said yet smiling that infectious smile he loved. And you bet that you’re vows and his were laced with inside jokes and laughing moments as well as tears.
And of course, George ended his vows with a flirtatious comment about your smile, the first thing he noticed when you entered Tocca.
i hope this is ok! my brain got a little foggy this morning from school work but i wanted to work on some ships today! 💛💛 have a lovely day!

Through The Eyes Of A Child
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/OtSBe24
by LadybugDreamer
Steve went into the Barnes mansion because he wanted to get rid of the ghosts inside. Brooklyn wants to turn the gorgous mansion into a school for children. But every time that is attempted, someone gets hurt. Or scared. And turns away from the project. So the Avengers are sent in to take care of the damn hauntings so they can do something with the house that has been sitting, unused, for over a century.
Bucky grows tired of staying in the mansion. He's fourteen. Or... he is? Isn't he? He can't remember the last time he was able to go outside and feel the sun. He can't remember the last birthday he had. The Omega barely remembers what it's like to have fun. Have friends. And then a group of ghost hunters come in, trying to get rid of his family. But they have nowhere to go.
The only people the Barnes' likes are Helmut Zemo and his son, Carl. Becaue they're sweet. They smell nice. And they don't try to chace the family out of the only home they've ever known. But when they meet the Avengers. And the Avengers meet them... Everything changes for all of them.

What are some of your favorite books currently?
Okay, so this question requires a bit of explanation of my reading habits. There are four types of books that I read: Dime Store Novels, of Literary Merit, Smart Books, and Reference Books.
Dime store novels: Books that are written to tell a story and just to tell a story. They’re not out to challenge the genre or blow our minds with inventive structure. Currently on my nightstand:
Patricia Briggs (Alpha and Omega series): Actually anything by Patricia Briggs. I love her. Everything she’s written is the sort of strong, female characters that I craved growing up.
Tamora Pierce (ALL): Same as above, she’s got wonderfully strong female characters and I love her.
Victoria Laurie (Ghost Hunter series): Simple, straight-forward series with exciting characters and premise! I read her books super fast, I’d say it takes me about two, three hours to read one of hers.
Mira Grant (Parasitology): She’s always so wonderful about building worlds through character/character relationships. Fun read, edge of the seat in a lot of ways, can’t wait to get to book two! Probably takes me 4-8 hours to read one book.
Of Literary Merit: Books that do defy genre, blow our minds, are probably going to win a handful of awards. Currently on my nightstand:
George Saunders (10th of December): One of my FAVE short story collections, it won something like...three? awards including like best short story collection of the year.
Celeste Ng (Everything I Never Told You): I actually don’t know if this has won an award but it was AMAZING NO SPOILERS GO READ IT
Flannery O’Connor (Wise Blood): I’m actually just starting this! I’ll keep you posted~
Jennifer Egan (A visit from the goon squad): One of my all time FAVES, got me into intertwining narrative, I love it.
Smart Books: Books that make me look very intelligent (or pretentious) when I go home for the holidays. They tend to be fairly controversial in subject matter and/or wildly misunderstood to be smart in the first place. Most of them I even like which is a bonus! My go to books:
Candide by Voltaire: Great book, hilarious and people think it’s not filled with A plus satire because Voltaire sounds very fancy.
The Dubliners by James Joyce: Short story collection of classic narrative, big themes of imminent death, man vs. nature, etc.
The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo: About the Stanford Prison experiment. It’s okay, I don’t necessarily agree with the stance Dr. Zimbardo takes on his experiment/actions, but he doesn’t expect you too, I don’t think.
Reference Books: Books that I read over and over again because I WANT TO WRITE LIKE THAT:
American Gods by Neil Gaiman: What the fuck. What the fuck. The detail?????? The characters???? Shadow???? What the fuck.
Two or Three Things I Know for Sure by Dorothy Allison - I cry every time I read this book. It’s so raw and honest, it takes my breath away. Every time.
The Earth and Everything Underneath by K.M Ferebee: So gorgous, the imagery is incredible and it’s about witches. It’s actually a short story that you can read here (X) and I really recommend you check out Shimmer in general because it’s a great magazine.
As always, there’s a ton more that I enjoy, but these are in my rotation right now! Ask me again in a month and they’ll be all different.
