#google plus the basic ability to read medical papers suggests this might be the beginnings of the eye forcing the sequestrum out

tossing this out into the void in case anyone here has advice:

my beloved Bean has had a sequestrum for a few months now. it’s been small and well-behaved, and she didn’t seem in pain with it, so after talking extensively with vets we decided to take a “wait and see” approach with lubricating eyedrops.

however, over literally the past 2-3 days, it’s changed dramatically. there’s blood vessels across the eye to it now, and the sequestrum itself is now almost raised off the eye surface, with a weird yellow-red ring around it.

i’m very worried, and am going to try and get her to a vet asap, but this is complicated by the fact i have to go away on a non-optional trip for at least the next few days, maybe up to a week, in about 12 hours. i’ve got people who can take her to the vet in lieu, but that’s a bit of a complicated process for a variety of reasons.

has anyone else here had a cat with a sequestrum, and if so do you know anything about this? desperate for any kind of information here…
