for my fellow fic writers: a super viral video is going around on the clock app right now that claims google is scraping from your private google docs to feed AI, and while that could be true in the future, that is absolutely not true right now.

so please don’t panic and delete all of your google docs!

#she is doubling down on it and saying that doesn’t mean google couldn’t secretly be planning something #and the comments are full of people who are freaking out #but right now - google would be facing a lawsuit if that were the case #google IS scraping from the general internet so maybe lock down that AO3 account #i would like to know how if at all tumblr is protecting IP on here against AI #fic writing #psa 🗣️
