#goodnight it’s midnight now 😴

i see something frequently on r/worldbuilding (stay with me here) that just baffles me. there’s a lot of talk about religions and building them within your world, and i like scrolling these particular ones for own nefarious interests. here’s the thing that gets me, and i’ve seen it multiple times now:

which of your world’s religions is Correct? which of your world’s religions are Real and which are Fake and Lies??

what a bizarre way to think about religion, even as your world’s author looking down from a bird’s eye view. i theorize it may come partly from the d&d school of thinking about gods; what would religion look like within a world in which the god you worship can actually be interacted with, a back and forth conversation? the fact that you can do that makes it ‘real,’ doesn’t it? your god is a real thing that gives you real magic powers, and that makes it better than religions without that tangible reality.

it has that r/atheist tang to it; this religion is valid because it has proof i consider valid. it is Correct, which makes the people who believe it smarter. unlike those other religions, whose followers are worse and/or stupid for believing the factually Incorrect thing.

religion is such an enormous monster of culture and tradition and rites and rituals and language and etc etc etc that to ask which is “right” feels totally reductive, even in a fantasy world. none of it is right. it’s all right. you don’t HAVE to think of your setting as something needing such objective truths. the answer to the question doesn’t actually matter, and oftentimes, is better left unsaid.

i got home about 11 this morning, my mum picked me up from my grandparents at 9am >:(( but we gossiped in the car about family which was very entertaining!

there was a concert near my house in one of the parks and went on for AGES and the music was bollocks btw :(

they finishes a few hours back and it's just about to turn midnight for me!

good about the water!! continue to drink water as it gets hotter! my state is always in a drought, so you can be conservative on water by taking shorter showers, but I say still drink the amount and more of water that you need to drink every day! you wouldn’t want to accidentally be dehydrated and be in a heat wave :( no no. (I don’t know if I’m using the word conservative right)

The next week for me is going to be extremely hot :( like i’m talking 106F degrees for two days which is 41C and my god, im going to die. tomorrow is it going to be 104F which is 40C. and for the other hot days is going to reach to 100F which is 37C. I don’t know if you can tell but I live in a hot state. And it doesn’t rain here. 😅

I love wearing earbuds!! ig. it’s just comfortable sometimes. but yeah. i’m gonna listen to music right now!! <333 dude I always get like warnings from my phone to turn down my volume, and I would be like no I’m just gonna put in the other earbud 😭 But I hate it when I would put one in and it’s like right about to die :(

7:45 pm for me, i’m guessing it’s like three for you rn. (you said it was 2:50 am at first an hour ago) so 7, 8 9 10 11 12, 1 2 3 = nine hours… i think. I might be wrong. Time is such a weird concept man. because time is man-made, time is not real.
