im like yeah rosa treating maria the way she does is bc its how her own family treated her so she feels that this is normal and disciplining (read: abusing) maria will help her in the long run and thats all thematically fine or whatever but the stuff w her constantly going on vacations to avoid being w maria is what gets me. like thats what pushes me over to really Really disliking rosa

#by thematically fine i mean like. it illustrates the cycle of abuse that rosa is trapped in and the way shes never grown out of being the #youngest daughter being constantly bullied by her older siblings and how much it affects her and her relationship w her own daughter #i just have trouble finding where the vacationing fits in besides truly driving in the fact that she is Not a good mother #which like. idk even that isnt something thats black and white cuz she DOES care for maria she DOES love maria i just dont think shes a #good mother for maria. whatever ep4 is making me wish rosa would kinda drop dead sorry
