even though i talk about my job a lot in research & academia i don't unironically list off my qualifications with malicious intent or for praise or status because it's TUMBLR and i don't want to come across as pretentious nor do i want to be taken fully seriously like i am with my real work, that's why i exaggerated the harshness so we could all learn something while making it fun because clearly i'm not actually that cunty i've even broken character to remind others.

anyways this is a long way of saying that even if i've dealt with actual defamation cases, this one doesn't bother me because anyone who matters will pick up on the fact i'm acting and also... was never saying the things they claimed in the post. we're actually on the same page, but the comprehension hasn't made its way over yet.

ALSO, FOR ANYONE WHO KNOWS THIS MUTUAL WHO MADE THE POST: don't hold this against them or send hate or malice. i have no ill feelings towards them (normally i'd be incredibly sick from something like this but i've been managing with some lighthearted fun and fantastic irl news about my academic relations but more on that another time). i understand how having other things in your life can build up and suddenly one foggy tumblr interaction sparks a whole disastrous spiral and hopefully they're okay and they work things out with their health and wellbeing before returning to tumblr.
