Pimfah the mastermind
I think Pimfah doesn't actually have feelings for Sailom. I know, why would anyone NOT fall for Sailom? (I love him with all my heart) Maybe that's what happens in the novel (I haven't read it and I don't want to know, because I'm watching the series and judging it as a separate entity). Even though I might be proven wrong this friday, here's my take on why this is a scam:
When we find out in episode 2 that she's the one who told Kanghan's grandma the truth about the video, she tells her that "as a friend, she doesn't want to see Kanghan go astray any further". Now that she said she likes Sailom, this looks like a lie and an attempt to protect Sailom, but I think she was being truthful here.
I was wondering why a person like her would hang out and be friends with a bully and the only explanation is that she used to know him when they were smaller and he was that kind kid who would lend his umbrella to a stranger. She remembers that kid and sticks to this image, trying to hold onto it and hoping he would come back.
If we were to believe she actually did it to stop him from being a dick, it's obvious that she doesn't mind manipulating him or going behind his back if she thinks it's for his own benefit.
There has been no scene where we'd see her longing for Sailom. The only thing that she did that could be reasonably used as a pro argument is that she wondered if he was with a friend or a boyfriend when she saw him escorting.
However, in the rest of that scene, we only see her being focused on Kanghan, trying to get him to stop judging or trying to get his attention. The look she gave him when he wouldn't take his eyes off Sailom points to the fact that she might be the first one who understands what's going on between them.
She's too smart to get between two boys who are clearly in love (insert a hair flip). She's going to have her own story and it's not going to involve guys.
I saw her asking Sailom to tutor her as her being a very sweet and kind person who wanted to help a classmate.
When we meet her for the first time in episode 5 she sees Kanghan being cute with Sailom and says “I lost my tutor and now I see him being all sweet with his student. It really hurts" while looking at Kanghan. She asks "are you BOTH coming to the open house?" (this might be a translation thing, though).
The framing of the story so far did not point at her having a crush on Sailom and unless they introduce some explanatory flashbacks at the beginning of episode 6, it just feels like something that happened out of the blue in a story had had a very nice flow up until now. They might do it the same way they revealed Kang's grandma already knew Kang was the bully.
So why would she tell Kanghan that she likes Sailom?
I believe Pimfah is another character (just like the grandma) who's watching over Kang and knows more about him than he thinks she does. She sees that Kang is becoming a better person because of Sailom (we hear her say it in the trailer). She saw the way Kang acted during the open house, trying to get her to be another character in his scripted story and she was trying to get him to snap out of it.
Finally, she got Sailom to be her tutor and Kanghan BASICALLY STOLE HIM FROM HER.
She knows what he's going to do now.
