11. do they have any special diet requirements? are they a vegetarian? vegan? have any allergies?

while vhaena has no special dietary requirements, she is something of a picky eater, but as the princess, this pickiness is met with enthusiasm by the cooks in the red keep. while she isn't a vegetarian or vegan, she prefers not to eat meat unless it's on the lighter side, like fowl or fish. no allergies, either!

12. what is their favourite food?

her favorite meals are the ones with fresh fruits and vegetables at the forefront: spinach and egg pies, breads with honeyed figs or big, briny olives mixed in, berries poached in wine served with cream. an easy way to please her is to serve her a platter of intricately carved vegetables and fruits and a glass of pear brandy.

13. what is their least favourite food?

anything lacking in texture — stew, porridge, some soups, that sort of thing. slop sets her teeth on edge and turns her stomach.

45. how do other people see them? is it similar to how they see themselves?

oh, the difference could not be bigger. when people look at alyse, they see the physically imposing, but not at all impressive daughter of a middling lord. (though no one would ever call bryor barren middling to his face.) they see a sweet enough girl who is trying very hard to succeed in their difficult world, unmarried despite her many charms, lost in a court that just is not meant for someone like her. when alyse looks at herself, she sees her rough hands from the reins of her horse. she sees the pale scars on her knuckles and forearm from hawking with her brother. she sees a cunning young woman that others do not realize is cunning, who is disarming enough to encourage people to set all shyness aside in order to seek her advice. they see someone pitiable, but she thinks they’re worth pitying.

46. do they make a good first impression? does their first impression reflect them accurately? how do they introduce themselves?

alyse makes an incredible first impression. it comes with being so painfully aware of herself and those around her — their biases, their emotions, their expectations. had she been born to another father, she would’ve made for an incredible mummer. no one ever gets a first impression of her that isn’t carefully crafted in her scarred hands.

she introduces herself by her name, usually with a smile, sometimes with a curtsy. it depends entirely on the person. not just the smile, but the proficiency of the curtsy, as well as whatever might come along with her name. if she thinks someone will be taken off guard by a clumsy curtsy, she’ll do it in an instant.

47. how do they act in a formal occasion? what do they think of black tie wear? do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?

alyse tolerates formal occasions. she prefers to keep herself company rather than lingering in the company of others for too long. that, and she finds small talk absolutely abysmal. she can manage it as gracefully as anyone can manage chit chatting with a septon or a widow, but she requires a lot of time to recover afterwards. alicent and aegon are the only people in king’s landing who know how much she hates parties, and they’re often the reason she gets swept off for one reason or another.
