Some more of the excellent #beers that I’ve had this week at home on #lockdown, all purchased from #BeersOfEurope. From the top left: a very special #beer, brewed at #ScloßEggenberg in #Austria on 6 December, 2018 then matured for 10 months in Whisky barrels, which actually came from an Israeli distillery in Tel Aviv. A truly international beer! An extraordinary 14% ABV and absolutely terrific; #GoliathTripel a golden #BelgianBlonde beer, that is fruity and spicy at 9%; #CasselsBrewery double cream #milkstout from #NewZealand a sweet syrupy stout, thick and heavy at 8.1%; #LionStout from #SriLanka, which unfortunately was my least favourite this week. A dry and thin stout that was overly complex in the layers of flavour, which fought against rather than complimenting each other at 8.8%; #PorterhouseBrewingCompany #WrasslersXXXX #stout from #Ireland, a very dry and slightly too thin 5%, and; probably the best #chocolate #imperialstout that I’ve ever tasted, called #NoMilkyWay by #OBrotherBrewing from #Ireland. This thick luscious custard of a beer was like a party in the mouth, definitely one I’ll try again and a powerful 10.5%, it was this weeks #winner.
