They're a Geometric, "Banana" and Ribbon Moray Eels from left to right and they have 0 braincells combined 👍🏼

In water they breathe like eels do which is passing water through their gills by swallowing constantly, and outside they use lungs via the holes in their chest (kinda like ikran do in avatar)

Conservation Status- Least Concern

Habitat- Western Atlantic Ocean

Size (Weight/Length)- 70 cm

Diet- Small fish; Mollusks; Crustaceans

Cool Facts- The bastard eel, or the goldentail moray, is an active and avid hunter. Once the sun sets, the eel leaves their daytime lair to go on the prowl. When a fish is in reach, the bastard eel snaps forward. Its first set of jaws ensnare the fish and then their second set of pharyngeal jaws deeper in their throat latch on to pull the prey deeper into their mouth. Bastard eels have another name, the banana eel. Most times, bastard eels have distinct, tiny spots while the banana eel morph has larger spots that makes them look like a bruised banana.

one of the first "aggressive" fish I ever got to work with at my internship was a goldentail moray, also know as the bastard eel. Some of them look like long bananas and I always thought that was hilarious. I believe the one at the internship was named "old man Earl" 'cause he was always grumpy about his food. I humbly ask for a picture of this golden grump, as tribute to Mr. Earl.

Ohh, you must be asking because another common name for the goldentail moray eel is bastard eel! Since a “bastard” is a child born to parents who aren’t married, uhh…. I guess all eels are bastards?? But that also makes every animal besides humans a bastard???? Make of that what you will.

I'd like you all to meet Bermuda! A goldentail Moray Eel~ He is the Navigatior of the New Fishman Pirates- with a HUGE interest in the seas and ships~ He's an eccentric and "funny man"- generally very cheerful on most days. He's a little goofy in a way, laughing alot at his own jokes.

He's a bit of a flirt too~ because of course he is. Although seems to be.... rarely successful. When he is, it takes a very special kinda woman to put up with his goonery. Sometimes he wonders if men would be easier-

Red: Based on Taisho Sanshoku koi fish

Yellow: Based on a banana (or bastard) eel/goldentail moray

Blue: Based on a swordfish

Purple: Based on different types of feather stars

Except for red, none of these have names so far so if you want, go wild and tell me what you think they should be called B)
