But, then are those who died performing their duty, persons who were kind, good and protective. Who received love and generosity in their life. These geist, once they return to the world, dedicate their existence to protect their loved ones: the living.

Saint Traft, our founder, Is an geist himself. Once a Cathar of the Curch of Avancyn, his spirit refused to rest , while evil still roam in the world. He along with Thalía, an Soldier denouced by the Curch, reunited an platoon of faithfull Monk and soldiers, who dissideted from the mad Curch and their angels.

Once we renouced the Curch, so we lost the bendition of the angels. Without their power, we resorted to the bendition of our fallen comrades. Soldiers, Healer, bishop, saints. All of these geist, gave us their power, blessing, strenght, so we can protect the living from the monster of Innistrad.

Indeed, I had allowed Geist to posses my body. My order Is exploring the capacities of this simbiosis. By allowing for the spirit of my fallen máster to posses me, my mana and magic strenghten, allowing me to perform miracles wich Rivals those of the angels.

In the end, the Curch denounce us, for not allowing these geist to their Blessed Sleep. Accusing us to be equals as the nercromancers and skaberen. But how could we deny for these geist to fulfill their noble goals, to protect the comunities wich gave them love and kidness in life".

You were denounced by your Church? And you turned to these "geists" when you lost the benediction of your angels? Hm.

Your means of faith are most certainly peculiar. But so long as these geists are willing to serve beyond the grave, then it may not be so overtly objectionable. Binding them unwillingly would obviously be less so.

This is the second instance that has come to my attention of spirits being part of what others consider to be divine and worthy of some form of worship. The Orzhov Church of Ravnica is the other. We have some of those whom we venerate beyond death -- the Venerables as we call them -- but necromancy is seldom practiced here.

I see now why the first few notices I received were so concerned with our afterlife practices. This does sound... troubling. As much as I consider him our Great Enemy, at least our dead remain dead with few exceptions. Aclazotz has seen to that.

I still can find some commonalities in our ways of faith. Taking on such darker and profane ritualism so that others may be protected is something we also practice. It is at the heart of many of our beliefs and scriptures. I think it would be hypocritical to pass judgement when we take up similar practices, even if it is through other means.

Though I have only heard of it through these brief glimpses, Innistrad appears to be a dark mirror to our existence here. Perhaps I shall see if an expedition can be sent to learn more.
