I know that many good flea and tick products are expensive but Hartz and Seargent’s Gold have been linked to illness and death in multiple animals. Ask a veterinarian for advice.
Didn’t realize that Hartz flea and tick spray was actively killing cats and apparently has had a long history of killing cats in the past. Saw a Facebook post about it today. My dad’s cat died two days (she was only 4 years old) and I was having a mental breakdown about it because I lost two of my other cats this year, only months apart from each other and now ANOTHER ONE ends up dying!!?? I thought the other ones died of old age, but my dad’s cat was only 4 years old. we used that spray on three of the cats and consequently all three have ended up dying. Luckily, my cat Boo Boo didn’t have the spray used on him, because he doesn’t really have fleas, but I’m beyond heartbroken that I lost 3 cats, two of which I’ve had for over a decade, due to this fucking company. PLEASE DO NOT USE HARTZ BRAND PET PRODUCTS!!!!!!

[64] “Fibers” — Hartz, Artistic group (Procreate app, iPad, Apple Pencil).
It is said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But that can’t be right because beauty is something universal and transcendent and it couldn’t be that if it was dependent on a beholder.
I think what most people refer to as “beauty in the eyes of the beholder” is prettiness. Pretty is in the eyes of the beholder. It’s an opinion, a personal preference dependent on personal tastes. But beauty transcends opinions and personal tastes, or cultural tastes, or trends.
And beauty is not always pretty. A work of art can be beautiful without being pretty. That is because beauty is not something you apply onto an object, like a coat of gold paint, or pretty colors; it is an integral part of the object. (Pretty pleases because it’s like sugar, but beauty is not sugar, and so it may not always please.)
But being an integral part of an object means that beauty may not always be easily recognized. It requires judgment and judgments vary. Some judgments are better than others. Non-judgments are useless.
To me, beauty is a thought, or an idea, well expressed, regardless of whether the thought or idea is expressed with verbal language or visual language or musical language. I don’t concern myself with beauty, or prettiness, I concern myself with the expression of thoughts and ideas.
[ There is a close connection between verbal and visual languages. So close, that many visual thoughts and ideas are initially created with verbal language. This is how many artists generate ideas — their idea is expressed in verbal language and then translated into visual language. Illustrators work this way with clients. But there is another way. The other way is to generate visual ideas using visual language from the start. In this way, one thinks visually, not verbally. This is akin to generating ideas in music — one doesn’t do so using verbal language, one does so using musical language from the start. There is no translation from verbal language to musical language.
I have began using digital art tools to generate ideas visually, not verbally. In other words, I do not start with an idea verbally defined and translate that idea into a visual. Instead, I start making abstract marks, and more marks and more marks, searching for a visual thought, for a visual idea. This drawing was created this way. (Although I still use verbal language to generate ideas, too. And also come into drawings with visual ideas already.) ]

5 beluga whales flown from Canada make a splash at new home in Mystic
Taylor Hartz - May 15, 2021
In the glow of the moonlight late Friday night, a flash of bright white wriggled against the dark sky — a young beluga whale named Jetta, being lifted by a crane.
Jetta and two other belugas from Canada flew into Groton-New London airport on a private plane Friday afternoon and received a police escort to their new home: Mystic Aquarium. Two more whales caught the next flight out and made the same journey early Saturday.
The whales, all between 5 and 6 years old, were brought to Mystic from Marineland in Ontario, Canada, where they were living in an overcrowded tank with 47 other beluga whales.
Mystic Aquarium has been involved in a yearslong process of moving the whales to their spacious new home, the Arctic Coast habitat, joining the aquarium’s three resident belugas: Juno, an 18-year-old male; Natasha, a 41-year-old female; and Kela, a 40-year-old female. Their goal is to work with the whales to pioneer new research methods that will help protect and save wild beluga populations.
“These animals are really, truly ambassadors for their wild counterparts,” said Allison Tuttle, vice president of biological programs at Mystic Aquarium, who traveled to Canada and flew back with two of the whales.
The whales will be a part of non-invasive research at the aquarium that is meant to help with conservation efforts to protect wild belugas. The decision to transport the whales to Mystic from Canada has been a controversial one, however, with many animal rights groups speaking out against the move. The Canadian government this past week approved a permit that allowed the transport to move forward.
Jetta was joined on Friday by travel companions Havana and Kharabali, both females, on the flight from Hamilton International Airport to Groton. After some delays, the plane touched down about 5:45 p.m. and the whales — kept in large, open-air cargo containers filled with water — were loaded off the plane and onto the flatbeds of three waiting trucks.
It took about 2½ hours to fly the first three whales from the Niagara Falls area to Groton and another three to four hours to get them each from the tarmac to the tank. Jetta is 762 pounds and 10 feet 2.8 inches long, Havana is 924 pounds and 10 feet 3.6 inches, and Kharabali is 818 pounds and 10 feet 7.6 inches.
The last two whales, Havok and Sahara, arrived at Hamilton airport about 6 p.m. and had not yet landed in Groton as of 2 a.m.
Held in hammock-like holders inside their containers — with cut-outs on the sides for their fins — the whales made their journey in a C-130 cargo aircraft operated by Lynden Air Cargo with a team of aquarium staff members that included veterinarians and zoologists. They were met at the airport by local police, state police and agents from Customs and Border Control.
Accompanied by a police escort, three flatbed trucks with the large blue cargo containers fastened on the back, each carrying a beluga, made their way from the airport to the aquarium about 9 p.m. to deliver the first three whales. A few dozen employees and volunteers from Mystic Aquarium, clad in bright blue hardhats, stood under a tall crane and applauded as the trucks rolled into the parking lot. When all three vehicles had parked, the employees and volunteers quickly rushed over to start the process of getting the whales safely into their new habitat.
One by one, the whales were lifted out of their cargo containers by a crane, their fins and flukes flapping as water dripped down onto the pavement. They were gently placed onto a rolling cart, which was pushed speedily across the parking lot and into the Arctic Coast habitat, where another crane waited to place the whales into the pool.
The Arctic Coast habitat is a 750,000 gallon pool — large enough to fill Gillette Stadium — broken up into three separate sections. The whales were first released into the medical area, then allowed to swim into the holding area where the trio swam in circles together, cresting the surface and spouting water from their blow holes.
The whales, who are not yet fully grown, will live at the aquarium for at least five years. They will be a part of studies that will help scientists better understand why belugas — especially those living in Cook Inlet off the coast of Alaska — are endangered.
Tuttle said one of the things they’ll be studying is how whales respond to sound. Due to climate change, she said, ships are traveling through Arctic channels that were previously blocked by ice. It’s unclear now how whales that live in these waters will be impacted by the sounds those ships make. The belugas in Mystic will be safely tested to see how they respond when exposed to such sounds in a controlled way that doesn’t stress or scare them.
The whales also will be trained to provide biological samples, including blood, saliva from their blow holes and feces, which will help scientists collect more data on beluga whale health in a safe, non-invasive way.
"This will allow us to study animals in the wild without handling them," Tuttle said. "This is very important work that will allow us to conduct important research about these animals in the wild."
Right now, she said, blood tests are the “gold standard” for determining if an animal is healthy in the wild, but it isn’t always easy to obtain a sample from a wild animal.
The studies were built off framework released by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which published a list of things it would be helpful to know about beluga whales. The team at the aquarium took parts of that list and developed plans to collect data that would help NOAA in its efforts.
“It feels really exciting to be able to continue research that not only expands the body of scientific knowledge we have but also will help us protect endangered populations of these animals,” Tuttle said.
Animal rights groups in opposition
Several animal rights organizations that petitioned Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans to reconsider issuing the export permit request. The groups say the transport violated the intent of a 2019 Canadian law meant to phase out the captivity of whales by banning their breeding.
The organization Last Chance for Animals asked the Canadian government to deny the permit, saying the transfer would violate the law in addition to endangering the animals. They also said that the lengthy transfer would be stressful and would result in the animals breaking social bonds with other belugas at Marineland.
The organization issued a statement Friday condemning the transfer.
“The (Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau government promised to protect the whales under the Ending the Captivity of Whales and Dolphins Act, and now they are betraying the whales and exporting their commitment. What they are ending is their commitment toward protecting these whales,” LCA's Canadian attorney Miranda Desa said.
According to Daniel Pesquera from the aquarium's Boston-based public relations firm, Regan Communications, moving the animals was in the best interest of the five whales and their species.
“The import permit is partly to get them into a situation where they’ll be in a better habitat with more individualized care,” he said. “And also to get them into a habitat that’s especially designed for research on beluga whales that will help larger populations of whales in the wild.”
The whales were monitored before, during and after the transport by teams of specialists who were tracking not only their physical condition, but their emotional well-being, aquarium President and CEO Stephen Coan said. The teams on the plane monitored their breathing, heart rates and hormones, he said, adding that the animals’ stress and well-being is always a concern.
“If we weren’t concerned about that, we’d be irresponsible,” he said.
After the first flight landed, Tuttle said Jetta, Havana and Kharabali “were doing really well” and arrived happy and healthy.
She noted Friday’s transport was an exciting, invigorating culmination of years of work.
She also stressed that all five of the whales were born and raised in captivity and that because of that, releasing them into the wild was not an option. They never learned to survive in the wild or hunt for food and would likely die if set free in the ocean.
Mystic Aquarium, Tuttle and Cohen said, does not condone the capture of wild animals and had no plans to breed more belugas to be born in captivity.
One of the conditions of the permit being granted was that procreation among the whales must be prohibited. Coan said the aquarium has developed a complex plan to prevent the whales from breeding, including tracking the female whales’ ovulation cycles and separating them from the males during those times.
Coan said that Mystic Aquarium doesn't have plans to rehome any more of the belugas currently living at Marineland, but plans to continue communication and offer support to the theme park as it moves forward with what is best for all the whales in its care.
The five new whales in Mystic will be introduced to their new roommates — the aquarium’s three resident belugas — at their own pace. The animals will see one another through plexiglass barriers at first as the new whales acclimate to their surroundings. They also will be able to communicate while they remain separated. Then, they’ll slowly be introduced into living in the same waters.
It’s not yet clear when aquarium visitors will be able to see the new whales.
“The answer is that the animals are going to tell us when they’re ready (to be in the same pool),” Tuttle said. “Sometimes they get comfortable much more quickly than we think, other times it takes a little longer. But our priority is what is best for the animals, we want to make sure they’re happy in their new home at Mystic Aquarium.”

Storia Di Musica #166 - Cowboy Junkies, The Trinity Session, 1988
E gioielli sono le loro composizioni autografe, come I Don't Get It, To Love Is to Bury, 200 More Miles (molto country, dedicata alle miglia percorse nel tour americano) e la quasi spettrale e affascinante Postcard Blues.

Dust and Dragons
Summary: We all saw how Drogon took Daenerys body. But what happened next?
English is not my first language!!
Part 1
Daenerys
The air was dry, but the stone was cool. It ate like ice through the leathery fabric of her suit. The piece of clothing in which Daenerys had conquered the throne stuck to the sweaty skin like Hartz on a tree. Your lungs feel air. The first breath hurt like a thousand knives. Dust had dried her mouth. Dany gasped, rolling weakly to one side, coughing as if she was suffocating. Someone handed her a glass of water. She drank it greedily, dropped the empty glass and heard it break into small pieces. It was the sound of a broken dream.
"Careful," someone said.
Daenerys looked up. A man with black hair, deep dark eyes and a red cloak stood beside her. He was a stranger to her. Dany did not want to hear, pushed herself off the stone and immediately regretted it. Her knees were powerless, sagging under her weight. The pain in her heart grew. Memories ate through her memory. Where the narrow hole was under her breast, Jon Snow stabbed her. She could remember exactly. The heir to the throne had seized the opportunity to wrest her from the throne. It was exactly as she had feared. Jon Snow was a miserable liar. Of course he wanted to claim the throne.
With one hand on her chest she said to the stranger, who looked uncertainly: "Shouldn’t I be dead?"
The man nodded and went to his knees to be at eye level. A chain of pure golf hung around his neck. A red oval stone caught her eye. "So have you. Your dragon has saved you and brought you to me."
Daenerys frowned. "Drogon?"
The man nodded and offered her a hand. Dany looked at him scrutinizing. Who was he? How could he save her? How did Drogon know what to do?
She let the strangers pull her up. Supporting, he held her tight. She felt like glass that could burst in the hands of her savior at any moment, though he barely touched her. Only so much that she did not lose her balance.
"Who, who are you?" Daenerys wanted to know.
His black eyes brushed Dany's eyes. Then he slowly released her to bend his knee in front of her.
"My name is Gaedor Mallarys, I am a red priest of the Lord of Light, and the reawakening of the deceased is, so to speak, my specialty." Gaedor rose and rubbed the sandy dust off his knees with a wave of his hand.
The temple they were in seemed deserted. Several large fragments of stone and concrete lay around the stone table where Dany had come to life again.
The red priest followed her gaze. "I am sorry to have to welcome you back here Queen Daenerys. Unfortunately, I am not a asked guest here in the halls of my like-minded."
Daenerys felt too upset at the moment to ask what he meant by that. But she would not forget it. Now she just wanted more water to wash the remaining dust and the disgusting taste out of her mouth. Take a warm bath to scrub the dried blood off the body and prepare a new plan. Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen, heir to the Iron Throne, Queen of the Andals, Rhyonar and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, Khaleesi of the Great Grassy Sea, the Unburned, Breaker of the Chains, Mother of Dragons and Queen of Mereen was not going down that easily. Westeros should better take care, because now the dragon was awakened.
Like a watchdog, Drogon lay in the sand in front of the collapsing temple. Golden sand lay on top of Drogon like a blanket that warmed him. If he were not too tall and the temple was not endangered by the collapse, she would surely have known her true Savior by her side.
The dragon, with shimmering red scales, raised its heavy head as its mother stepped out of the temple. The sun blinded her. The light hurt in her eyes, so Dany held a hand over her face. She was back in Essos, where she had fought for years against slavery and set herself the goal of making the world better.
Drogon growled loudly. It was a cry of joy, Daenerys felt that. The attachment to her child was stronger than ever. It was not for nothing that dragons and dragon riders shared a piece of their soul. She had it with all her children, but with Drogon the strongest. Maybe it was because he was the dragon that demanded the most attention or that he bore the name of the great Khal Drogo. The man she wanted to give a child and was waiting with him somewhere. Waiting for them to reunite. Actually, Daenerys should already be with them. She should have embraced her son and tell the great Khal about her journey across the Sea, about how doggedly the Khalasar had fought for their Khaleesi. But her brother Visery's, and her later dream, had now fallen to dust in her hands. She had lost everything except Drogon. Her army, two of her children, her protector, her best friend, her lover ... and the Iron Throne. Her vision of the Immortal House became real. She had the throne, felt the steel melted by dragonfire into one of Westero's mightiest seats, but never sat down. The voice of a dragon prevented her from doing so. Aegon Targaryen's voice. After him came the black death. An eternity of nothing and loneliness.
Drogon spread his wings and yelled again into the infinite sky. Then, with a quick movement, he tilted his head, snuggling against Daenerys. At first Dany took a step back, not because she was afraid, but because she feared she would not be able to stop her weak legs against Drogon's push. But this fear was unjustified. Dany put a hand on Drogon's face. The dragon closed his eyes and it seemed like he was smiling.
"You might think the dragon has real feelings," Gaedor said fearfully. He did not seem to trust the dragon.
"Of course he has some, what did you think, why else should he have brought his mother across the strait to you?"
Carefully, the priest approached her and her child. His long red coat trailed a trail in the sand behind him. Slowly, he reached for Drogon, who opened his eyes, raised his head, and stopped only inches from Gaedor's face. Drogon opened his mouth threateningly.
Gaedor withdrew his hand. The dragon did not want to be touched by him. The body of Drogon towered high enough to cover Daenery's shadow. It was hot and Dany melted like iron in the fire under the burning sun of Essos.
"I have some questions for you, Gaedor, take me to your quarters." It was not a question or a request, it was an order.
The plump man in his late forties nodded. "If you want that, I will accompany you to me, but Mother of the Dragons," he stopped in mid-sentence and corrected himself, "But Mother of the Dragon, my home is modest, I can not guarantee that you will feel comfortable there. "
Daenery's face remained hard as her soul tore further. Drogon was the last child she had left, and this red priest rubbed it under his nose. To the injured soul anger also flared up. "I am the mother of dragons!"
Gaedor raised his hands apologetically. "Of course, I just thought-"
"What did you think?" Dany asked angrily. It moved in her chest, but she did not let the pain outward affect her appearance.
The last time she showed weakness she was murdered. Daenerys took a deep breath. The emotions boiled over and tore her into a spiral from which she could not escape again. She did not want to admit it, but without Gaedor she was completely alone. She needed him for the moment, even if she wanted nothing more than to see him and all the people burning."I forgive you your words, Gaedor, now let’s go."
Gaedor looked puzzled and confused, but nodded again. Drogon leaned toward Daenerys, who climbed onto his back. Meanwhile, the red priest remained in place as a tree struck roots. He seemed tense, as if he expected Dany to burn him on the spot and disintegrate into ashes.
Daenerys saw Kings Landing before in front of her eyes. The cries of people who looked like ants. The feeling that she had then, and now felt on Drogon's back, made her shiver. It was pure strength and power.
“Come on. We're flying."
Shy, like a sheep, he got up, dragging himself up to the back of the dragon with the long coat over his body. He did not dare to touch the Queen of Ashes. Just before Drogon started the flight, she said,
"Hold on tight, if you fall, you'll die ..."
Already, Drogon opened his wings, took a start, and flew up into the sky.
One wing beat, the next and another. The desert below looked like a sea of gold. This area would be called the Red Desert."We have to go east, Daenerys, far to the east," Gaedor said against the hot wind.
"Where exactly are you taking me, priest?" Dany asked, oriented to the sun. In the east was Qohor and the Jade Seas and behind it ...
"Have you heard anything about the fabulous Asshai, Queen Daenerys?"

Brilliant (a wood built house but all whitened over) the nice little comfortable summer residence of the duke and duchess of Cambridge – sauntered in the present little green park – thence straight forwards to Herrenhausen the king palace (both these places built by the elector Ernest Augustus) – sauntered in the gardens in the old French style – long clipt hornbeam-hedges – fountain that shoots up the water (when playing) to 8ft. – some fine orange trees – then saw the interior of the palace fitted up by George IV. – his fine full length large portrait by Sir William Lawrence there, and a good copy of it belonging to the duke of Cumberland – and a vulgar portrait of George IV. when a young man done by a German at Vienna – 3 or 4 rooms of the palace hunt with silk – a tolerably good comfortable house – merely some old family pictures – then ½ hour in the botanic garden with this nice little botanic garden, well worth seeing – the plants propagated and sold – the duchess of Cumberland goes there almost every day – she and the duke much liked – but some say he spends too little – the people dissatisfied at being unequally taxed – want a new assessment of property here - - returned thro’ the gardens (à l’anglaise and pretty) of the old comte de [Wallmode] – sold on his death to George IV. and a great many of the pictures also – saw these and a few old statues, busts, and models – two or 3 madonnas of Sasso Ferrata, but nothing very valuable, but look a decentish collection when arranged, as intended, in the new doing up palace in the city next to the theatre – the portico handsome now in building - walked thro’ the kings’ stables – good but the stalls not 6ft. wide – and wonder why Norcliffe thought them so very handsome (the handsomest he had ever seen) – nothing to compare to those at Chantilly, or from Miss Ferralls’ account to those in the place Vendôme Paris – 240 horses – all saddle houses or stallions – very few of white Hanoverian (Albino?) breed – and these never sold – the breed said to have come from Spain 4 or 5 centuries ago – the haras, and brood mares at some distance from here, on the road to Bremen – home at 4 35 – dinner at 4 50 – Miss F- and I out again in an hour – she to buy dolls for her little nieces, and I to look about the town – went into the handsome curious old brick cathedral – Lutheran, and pewed and benched – about the altar and pulpit much carved – galleries, fronts of, painted – painted plafond within the groinings – enormous brick round columned – singular handsome old church – very much struck with the very old high pointed Gothic old gabel ends of the houses in the old town – the old ditto ditto ditto house of Leibnitz, where he lived and died, in Schmidt street very handsome and well preserved – a print shop in 1 part of it – the old town house (hotel de ville) is also in this fine old style, and well worth seeing – Leibnitz’s monument, a bust under an ionic peristyle of 12 columns roofed, is near the Waterloo college and very handsome – the old town of Hanover very interesting – picturesque views from the several bridges (some wood some stone) crossing the Leine river – from the old to the new town – our hotel, the British, evidently the largest and best – home at 7 ½ - gave the guide our passports to be ready for Hamburg by Bremen at 8 ¾ am tomorrow – calculating the expense of keeping my own horses – best here or black Mecklenburg would cost 20 to 25 Frederics a piece – a good new light German travelling carriage 70 to 80 Frederics – horses would eat a bushel of corn a day or piece – say per horse corn 16 [?] bread 4gt. hay 4gr. (grooming 6gr. perhaps this was for the 2 horses) – but they reckoned here that a horse cost a thaler a day – then to the coachman would perhaps want a thaler a day – but a pair of good horses would take me 9 German miles a day with ease in 7 hours and resting 2 en route that would keep me 9 hours a day on the road playing with Miss Ferrall very good friends now she sat on my knee tonight and has kissed me these three nights but I do it all very properly – wrote the above of today till 9 ½ pm at which hour F60° very fine day and evening – sat up counting the money till after 11 pm
worse off at the bank this morning than at Cobelntz [Koblentz] – exchange only 6 thaler 4 [?] per £1. take the pound at 6th.
.:. 1 th. = 3s. 8d. English and one may call a bongros 2d.
for my 150 thalers they gave me 30 gold Fredericks .:. I received them at 5th. per Frederick and cashed them (6 of them) at 5 ½ thalers each -

Interview with Gavin Turek
We had the pleasure of interviewing Gavin Turek over Zoom video! Gavin Turek has been a celebrated musician for years both for her “endlessly groovy and gripping” (NME) recorded work and spirited live performances (often featuring choreography she learned from her time spent in Ghana), and today finds the much anticipated release of her debut full-length album, ‘Madame Gold’ on her own Madame Gold Records. ‘Madame Gold’, is a stunning debut album that represents Gavin’s personal alter-ego who she sought strength in to overcome her inner saboteur. After bouts of self-doubt, discouragement from the music industry, and feelings of helplessness amidst the numerous global crises of the last year, Gavin entered the studio to complete the much-anticipated project and ended up creating a true powerhouse tour de force of modern R&B. Sonically the album trades the starlit disco vibes of her earlier work for an irresistible groove-heavy, R&B foundation. Tapping into the power that comes from vulnerability and taking inspiration from badass divas like Grace Jones and Diana Ross, 70s soul icons like Curtis Mayfield and the Isley Brothers, and modern day pioneers like Tame Impala and Raphael Saadiq, Gavin’s sound is an honorable throwback to the past while also undeniably fresh and current in the modern music world. The more contemplative moments on the album capture a completely different side of the songwriter. "We took a more experimental route while creating the hybrid of soul and pop I'm known for, in order capture the inner transformation that was happening in me. I didn’t want to repeat what I did before,” said Gavin about the sonic direction of the album. NY Magazine’s The Cut said the LP (produced and co-written by Childish Gambino collaborator Chris Hartz) is “sure to be a summer staple”, while BUST called Turek “not only magical but a woman with integrity and heart.” Early singles “Illusions” and “Slide” (feat. bLAck pARty) garnered praise from Stereogum who praised the former as a "blissed-out love song”, and KCRW who called the latter “a perfect fit for your weekend on the boardwalk, or late-nite cruising down the boulevard.” Also out today is the music film accompaniment for “Hero”, which Gavin says “tells the origin story of my alter ego Madame Gold, through a cinematic lens. At the height of the pandemic, I found myself depleted and discouraged, unsure how to move forward. One fateful day, I tuned in for an "artist talk" given by one of my favorite visual artists, Renee Cox. Her work and encouraging words were exactly what I needed to be reminded of who I was: a hero. Conceptually and creatively directed by myself and brilliantly directed by Josh Sondock, the HERO music film is meant to inspire people, especially women who feel lost and out of touch with their personal strength, to become their own heroes and save themselves instead of waiting for someone else.” Through the writing sessions for the album, Gavin exorcised deep feelings of personal pain, confusion, loss, love, moments of magic, and pressure. The result is an eclectic, pristine, and cathartic unveiling of an artist truly coming into her own -- be it on “Whisper” (a futuristic take on personal faith that includes a heartwarming interview snippet with Gavin’s mother), “Hero” (a certifiable bop about leaning into your own personal strength), or “Elevator” (which Refinery29 called the “perfect soundtrack for a fresh start”). According to NPR, “one way or another, Gavin Turek is going to entertain you”, whether through her live performances or her music. You may have heard of Gavin in the past through her entrancing solo work, acclaimed collaborations with TOKiMONSTA, her performance on CONAN, or performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Tuxedo, Mayer Hawthorne, and Cee Lo respectively. From growing up with a father who played piano and tagging alongside her mother who toured coffeeshops singing gospel, to studying dance in Ghana, to cutting her teeth as a working musician in Los Angeles, performing has been in the forefront of Gavin’s mind for her entire life, and with ‘Madame Gold’ the future is looking nothing but bright.
