i've seen others point out how in the japanese version of deltarune ch3's susiezilla minigame, the stylized font tenna uses for "sujira" (a pun on gojira and susie's localized name spelling) is unique to this version because it references the 1954 godzilla logo, but i haven't seen anyone mention that this version of the minigame is ALSO unique in that susie is very unenthusiastic about the whole thing?

she doesn't smile or laugh in the opening scene like she does in the english version, and she generally talks like she doesn't wanna be a part of this..

deltarune's (and undertale's) japanese localization is known for how well it changes certain things to not just be a high quality translation, but to keep the tone and humor consistent in scenes that wouldn't have the same impact if it was translated more directly. this USUALLY doesn't go beyond changing the wording/context of dialogue, or a character's name, but this is one of the only instances i know of where a scene's VISUALS were changed so drastically along with the dialogue to give the focus character a completely different mood.

it's been on my mind since i discovered it but haven't found any explanations for it yet and i'm super curious!! is there context i'm missing from earlier in the japanese version? (susie's dialogue on the ferris wheel in ch2 maybe? i don't actually know how that one goes down) if anyone knows more about this please tell me!

Godzilla, Undertale/Deltarune, Predator, Transformers, Planet of the Apes, Wings of Fire, and palaeontology and the natural world. If there’s a neat, potentially sapient creature in it, chances are I’ll like it. While I may reblog WoF content, I have largely grown out of my interest in the series, so please don’t follow me for WoF art, as they will likely be once in a blue moon. On the other hand, Godzilla and kaiju are what I post about most often, whether it’s about the canon media or my own fangoji story, Godzilla Rekindled. You can find posts about it through its own tag #godzilla rekindled, feel free to ask me questions because I love yapping!!! :)

Art Info

Commissions? At the moment I only take commissions for Discord Nitro as it’s my only method of compensation. I usually do this for friends or people within certain discord servers, so for public comms, the answer is effectively no. The same can be said for art trades. Art requests are closed unless I say otherwise.

I use IbisPaintX to draw, Alight Motion to edit, and Flipaclip on the rare occasion I animate. Do I recommend these apps? Not really! I’m just stubborn and like sitting through ads and not paying for things.
