Clearly the Time Door hadn't liked the bolt of magic that had hit it as he dived through. The vampire nest liked even less the fact that something more than a hunter had dropped in from a strange orange rectangle in the roof of their barn.

"Look, if you can forget I was here, I'll just leave and you can carry on with whatever you were doing," Loki huffed at the aggressive gathering he assumed to be human.

Snarls around savage teeth told him otherwise.

"Right."

Access to his seidr felt strange here, as though the energies of reality had changed. It was a little more effort, and yet he felt stronger. He smirked cruelly at the nearest monster. The vampire leapt at him and was met with a bolt of green that slammed it into the creature behind.

Alarmed, several of the group responded by attacking at once. Daggers appeared in his hands. He fended most off, but one grabbed his shoulders and sank its teeth into his neck.

At least, it was what they intended. The fangs snapped where they met his flesh. The vampire howled. Loki struck it in the heart with his dagger, right up to the hilt. A bout of confusion lit his face.

"Why won't you die? You can't seriously be actual vampires?" he scoffed, unaware that another being he could sense approaching was quite the expert on handling these things.
