Blunt fingernails scratch lightly at her scalp, alternating between her part and the tufts of hair around the pointed ears perched atop her head, humming when he notes how soft and realistic it feels. His ministrations only slow once his fingertips skim along the very edges of said ears, and he notices just how tightly they’re pressed to her head—-it seems they’re more than just flimsy clips or decoration for some elaborate costume.Those are actually her ears?   ❝ Whoa.        he bit the insides of his cheeks and closed his eyes as he felt her fingers explore his velvety ears. normally, he would be quick to scold and hiss ( maybe even swipe ) at anyone who touched his ears ( or tail, for that matter ), but there was something about her presence, her aura, that told his subconscious it would be wise to simply grin and bear it.

       he allowed his ears to flick in a slight twist forward, just to keep her hand from exploring too thoroughly. his amber eyes watched her expression with a slight hesitance — her hand moved almost as though she was petting him, but her calculating gaze made him feel as though he was being studied.
