Happy birthday to the Kate jazz pianist Horace Silver who said, "I believe that jazz music has the strongest healing potential, and it's not just because I play it and love it so much. I feel that it's the improvisation in jazz that makes it so strong as a healing tool, what each individual gives to a tune from their heart and their soul when they take a solo. It's all spontaneous, and it's all love, and from the heart." He would have been 93 years old today. A couple of weeks ago I did it on Instagram live video which was my declaration of all the change that’s happening in my personal life recently. If I could have hand picked someone that was perfect for ME, I couldn't have done better. When you find someone who makes you their priority, who shares their day with you and wants to hear about yours, who prays for you and your children, who talks to God about you, who makes you smile and laugh and puts you at peace but makes you excited at the same time, who thinks you're the most beautiful woman in the world without makeup, who thinks you're perfect and makes them want to be a better man, who looks into their future and sees you there every step of the way, who says that you are worth the wait...THAT is a keeper! Every time we're together, either in the phone or in person, time flies by. 3.5 hour phone calls every night to end the night is normal. Suddenly we realize it's after midnight. LOL! Neither one of us wants to conversation or the time we spend together to end. Every time we talk I find something out about him that makes it even better! One of the most recent discoveries, he LOVES the old hymns because he was raised on them. OHMYWORD!!!! Me toooooooo!!!!! Me too!!!
