Spn S14 season finale liveblogging

Spoilers for last 10 minutes of 14x20.

I wasn't ready for this. It makes narrative sense, I think, and it's amazing from a character development standpoint but...whaaaaat. My precious Moose lawyer defying yet another monster manipulating his life? Yes!

Hoooly shit. "Welcome to the end."

This all comes full circle. Souls from Hell circling around. Awesome callback. Woman in white! Creepy clown! Bloody Mary!

All the work they did with the hell souls is undone. Another callback to when Crowley tried it, now on a more epic scale?

So...This must be the worstpocalypse.

Shiiiit. What now? If Mark hadn't left on official no going back terms I could see this being an amazing reason to bring Crowley back. I get that it won't happen, just saying.

I'm so proud of all of them. Jack was raised right and that speech on his knees paralleling Sam is doing things to my heart. Cas stood up for him to the two beings whose respect and opinion he cares about the most. Sam understood Dean completely but intervened and defended all the members of his family to Dean, including Dean! And Dean. Refusing to be Daddy's blunt little instrument, realizing despite his pain and fear that obeying Chuck was the wrong choice. Well, minus the truly cosmic consequences. Never mind how the hell Chuck didn't think given allll of Sam and Dean's past history that they wouldn't use the gun on him. Surely he's been there for them killing Death, etc., etc. What a fake fan. Speaking of which, I wonder if he's a mirror in this episode for the "Dance, monkey, dance!" toxic parts of fandom, the presumptive, entitled parts that demands a story be told a certain way or face their wrath. Also tied to Sam's unnerved expression when Chuck said he watches them all the time and they're his favorite versions of themselves. But also at face value we see that Chuck gets more unsettling and increasingly scarier the longer you hear him talk and realize all the implications point to him being a whole new level of bad. Sorry, Scout. I like the previously God'n'Gabe-compatible version, but I'm curious what this finale means for Chuck's role in season 15.

But, shit. How the hell do you survive and conclude a 15 season show with that kinda preceding season finale? An intervention a split second before they're rent and torn? Billie stops it and they go from there? They all die first? And what happens now? I want Dean to get his toes in the sand beach vacay and for him and Cas to inch even an iota closer to where the story's been taking them. I want Cas to choose to be human and maybe bypass The Empty's deal. I want Jack to get his soul back. I want Sam to be happy. Can't wait to find out what happens next.

I just found @consulting-cannibal blog and god'n'gabe and Aaaaah my face is splitting from smiling too much, really it's one of the best things I found on here. So to give my face a 40 minutes break I drew Balthazar arriving in the Empty (which is a giant walmarkt according to scout) and Gabe just being "hey, ho bucko have fun!" I painted this with Copicmarker and fineliner so it isn't great. (And I'm sleep deprived and will regret this in the morning)
