Clone wars: episode 10 seconds before disaster

I like you can tell Maul is nervous when talking about Sidious, both in tone and in expression. Also I am pretty sure I saw the hologram of that scarred villain guy from Solo(finally got around to watching it a couple weeks ago)

Also there is a moment where a couple of the clones have their guns raised at Ahsoka before they realize who she is. FORESHADOWING!

Ah yes, Anakin killed Dooku we are getting pretty close. Also it does look they have a sense of the idea that Sidious is manipulating both sides, sort of ties in to the later arcs of the 6th season.

And of course Palpatine has gone past his term limit, no doubt justifying that by the fact they are at war. Yeah Ahsoka knows right off that Anakin isn’t going to be happy about the spying on Palpatine thing. Though really Obiwan, trying to get someone wronged by said Jedi council to convince Anakin of said council’s trustworthiness is not the best plan :/

Poor Jessie :( . Maul is in the throne room on the throne with a bound Jessie which immediatly brought to mind the scene where it was Obi-Wan, Satine and Maul from the earlier season. Thankfully Maul lets Jessie go (did he find out about the Order 66 trigger or was he trying to do a show of good faith thing?).

Also sorry, but uh Jessie looks kind of hot bound up on his knees. Not gonna lie.

Momentary horniness aside, the animation in the throne room is super pretty. And Darth Maul wanted to kill Anakin so Sidious would lose his apprentice. Classic Maul pettiness. Sadly while Maul is speaking truthfully most of the time this episode, he is also a Sith so he has a hard time being believed.

He straight up pulls a “we are not so different after all, join me” on Ahsoka. While it is obvious that she is not going to accept, I have to admit the idea of Maul and Ahsoka teaming up to fight Sidious sounds pretty sick. I have been wondering what a theoretical team up between the two of them would look like ever since that episode in Rebels where they, Kanan and Ezra breifly united to fight the Inquisitors before Maul of course fucked THAT over. Ah, well I hope there are fanfics where we get to see that team up.

Their fight is pretty awesome. It was even cooler to find out later that it was choreographed in real life too via mo-cap. Is that some “Duel of the Fates” theme I hear sneaking into the music? Also Maul’s twist to avoid Ahsoka’s lightsaber when she was pulling it toward her was fucking neat.

And as traditional for a star wars media, there is a fight on a very narrow precarious surface with no hand rails. Maul ends up captured which I knew he would because I saw the episode summary for next week.

Next week is probably going to be Order 66 or at least the start of it. Next episode is going to HURT.
