Finally, Carson leaned forward, and caught Tres’ jaw in his fingers, and for the second time Tres wondered if he was dreaming. The first time they’d kissed, it had been too good to be true, and the universe had quickly corrected it with Alex’s—and then Troian’s—sudden arrival. Now, though, the truth was out in the open, and everyone who’d been coming for them had already arrived; the worst had passed.

God, Tres hoped the worst had passed. Even after everything he’d been told today, he didn’t see how it couldn’t not get better now.
