First drafts of an idea of how Goasi is discovered (with the Elephante I STILL don’t have a name for). I never was very good at comic page panelling... And sorry it’s so hard to make out - no scanner, only camera phone :\ WIP, obvs.

Edit: Might drop the second panel of the Elephante running/sliding down the dunes with him dropping to his knees by the water.

And the elephante is no longer an elephantasy! Pratyush is a masculine name of Indian origin, and according to online baby name sites means dawn/sun. I was surprised it was free. Elephantes are hard to do NP customs for... and why are there so few NP desert backgrounds??

Pratyush is an explorer and treasure hunter. He works with his ruki friend (who, sadly, is still unnamed) seeking lost treasures. He collects treasure maps and considers himself to be noble and heroic. (if you listen to The Adventure Zone, kinda like Magnus... if you don’t listen to that, think of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson) Pratyush does not like any nicknames made from his name, and gets wound up when his ruki companion calls him ‘Tooshie’.  He is transmasculine NB, with he/him or they/them pronouns and wears any clothing he likes the look of (including clothing typically considered feminine). Nice that he has a name, finally.

IT’S A ‘BLUE’ KINDA NIGHT.

1. Drowned - http://impress.openneo.net/outfits/1548118 - NC I had this idea of a liquid ghost character that still contained their skull from when they drowned in a shipwreck... The water ‘body’ could shapeshift with ease, but usually the skull sat atop it, empty sockets glowing with eerie light... BUT I could never afford the crosspaint and no one wanted to trade me the bg so I gave up... She was part of the aesthetic inspiration for my water kyrii Goasi, though they’re very different characters. Still, as far as customs go, I think it’s neat.

2. Chill Breeze - http://impress.openneo.net/outfits/1537794 - NP A blue feathered serpent with a penchant for magic and a flair for the dramatic, I never thought too much into the personality/character design for this one past ‘oooo, pretty’. I think, if she were drawn I’d draw her with a cobra hood, her wings would be feathered like an archaeopteryx’ and she’d have a broad fan of feathers on her tail tip.

3. Icesha - http://impress.openneo.net/outfits/1548110 - NP The new icy aisha items released a few days ago are nice, and go well with the new water colour as well as ice and jelly. I like the idea the little hair buns are actually braided/wrapped around the aisha’s ear stalks/antenna.

Seem to have my bases covered alright, assuming I understand the concept of ‘futch’ ^^; A bit heavier on the femme side, could do with more butch ladies.  I feel like my characters’ placements would be more obvious if they wore more clothes in my art. I really need to fix that. This only covers my characters who identify as female, but it is missing my old lady mutant/camo lenny as I have no art of her. She’d probably be butchy femme or futch. Only has pets I own already, not those I’m making apps for. Some pretty old art here for some characters like Schanse and Pullet. Let’s talk characters!

Because IDK if I ever listed mine Let’s go by account. Read-more because this got long fast.

Main Account: Kijiwa - Male plushie chomby. Very laid back/chill. Doesn’t like loud noises, lays around in the sun like a GIANT cat. Because he is large, lumbering and graceless. Big enough to ride on. He’s also very, very old. You could say old as a dinosaur :p Very cuddly. Always kinda sleepy. Likes binaural ASMR videos. Has a lot of patience for baby neopets. Does not like getting dirty/sticky. (x) Schanse - Female plushie krawk. Self-proclaimed ‘Pumpkin Queen’ who also jokingly refers to herself as a MSP krawk. Super into collecting bugs, keeps a pumpkin patch, loves goth clothing/accessories. A little edgy and very proud. Loves to read. She remembers being a petpet, and is pretty into petpet protection. She does not suffer fools. (seen here with Rainbird) Rainbird - NB plushie bruce. My Neosona. Says ‘dude’ too much, doesn’t like crowds. Pretty introverted and probably tries too hard to be interesting. Caretaker of the other plushies, stitching them up when damaged. Likes chillwave and watching Let’s Plays (because they’re too poor to buy the games but are interested in the stories). Likes to draw, but is too lazy to apply themself to proper improvement. Watches too many cartoons. (x)  Cooled - Female ice cream (custard) aisha. Pretty excitable, kinda a foodie. Pretty obsessed with experimenting with flavours, esp. in ice creams. A sweet kid. Turns back into custard if she leaves Terror Mountain for too long. Is curious about space/the stars/alien aishas. Wastes her NP on scratch cards. Designs her own clothes, which are usually visual jokes about her being made of ice cream (like ice cream cone boots). Afraid of the dark. Doesn’t like jokes about whether or not she is edible. (x)

Side 1: Itla - Female Halloween aisha. Supposedly a demoness, though she has no proof of that. Beats herself up too much over little mistakes. Superstitious. Always kinda depressed about something she lost long ago, but doesn’t want to talk about. Tomboyish. Bi. (x) Deirdre - Female chocolate aisha. A little clumsy but very kind - values kindness above just about everything. Works at a chocolateria/cafe. Hopeless romantic. Loves vintage fashions. Likes bitter chocolate and black coffee. Writes embarrassing poetry in her journal, which she writes in regularly. Lesbian. (Her on-site name is Derpey, which I know isn’t cool, but I can’t change... So pls just call her Deirdre) (x) Ramune - Male Maraquan korbat. Bubbly and sweet. Doesn’t talk very much, often sits happily listening to others having a conversation. Likes seapunk style but doesn’t think he can pull it off. Vegan. Likes drawing sparkle-dogs/sparkle-critters. Enjoys exploring underwater and is happiest when he’s found a pearl. Homoromantic ace. (x) Qoth - TBH, I have no idea what to do with her. My second chocolate aisha. Was thinking of making her a male moth aisha, as like, Qoth/moth? But I’d hate to paint over chocolate... And I don’t have the lab anymore to change her to a boy. She used to be a male jelly aisha. (x)

Side 2: Pullet - Female ‘island’ lenny. Quite young, a squire in Meridell. Wishes to be a knight, but is rarely taken seriously. She believes in the best in people. She wants an adventure. Really likes red/yellow apples and apple treats. A quick learner. Loves fairytales (faerietales?) and is in awe of the faeries. Has absolutely 0 magical ability. Based on a buff orpington pullet/young hen - so pretty chicken-like. (old design) Ornekka - Female camouflage/mutant lenny (she should be mutant, but I wanted to customise her lol). An old crone with a penchant for magic and charms. Pullet’s grandmother. Claims to have worked with Dark Faeries in the past. Speaks with a rough dry, voice and laughs like a crow. A pretty good grandmother, actually. Handsew - Male plushie pteri. Awoke one day as a plushie with a robot pteri telling him he had been ‘factory reset’ - no memories of before. Was apparently a companion toy for someone, though he doesn’t know who or why he was abandoned. Is not sure how to feel about being a living plushie. Feels hopeless, directionless, and often, kinda angry.  Yica - Female ghost eyrie. A lonely ghost who wanders Mystery Island, particularly around Geraptiku and the beaches to the north of the island. Likes to care for lost petpets, but can be hostile to others. Has some illusion magic. Likes puzzles and tropical flowers. Only seems to exist at night. (x) Side 3: Goasi - Female water kyrii. Naiad/water spirit of an oasis in the Lost Desert. Has been alone for too long, little knowledge of anything outside her pool. Slow to trust. More powerful than she knows. Ability to manipulate any water that she comes in contact with. Cannot leave her oasis’ waters. (x) Pratyush - NB/transmasculine desert elephante. An explorer/treasure hunter who collects maps and considers himself noble and heroic. Likes henna and working out. Has a booming, jolly laugh. Patience of a saint. Eternal optimist. Often calls people ‘kid’ even though he’s not that old. Likes a good drink with good company. (x) Muchiru - NB Christmas vandagyre. I literally just made my fursona (Muchi) as a neopet because I wanted to dress them up/play with a Vandagyre. Man I love owls. (x)

Oh, great.

Went to hop on my pc to reply to messages and it crashed, and I think that means it took out the image of Goasi I'd been working on. I have to assume that, because it won't turn back on :') Thanks, tonight. I have no idea how to fix it, I'll ask my partner in the morning I guess.
