Since Wicked shared their updated oc, here is Shiva! Her design didn't change much (sorry not an artist) Story wise I think she would stay pretty much the same, but I'd also love to hear from u and wicked on anything u think needs an update or just sounds fun
She's perfect! She's a strong gem, who is a free spirit and creative to a fault!
If wr have to update, I'd say let's flesh out the characters' backstlries a little, before they met each other on the ice planet. Have they ever seen a Diamond, who they used to be owned by, how they ended up on the ice planet, how do they meet other gems, have they ever fused? And if they end upnon Earth, do they join the Rebellion? Or stay secluded? As they're all Era One gems, I think.
Did they know any X-Men or Brotherhood gems in the past? If so, who? Were they loved, hated, ignored, or missed? When they're found alive with (redacted), does anyone feel shocked?
And what is their story on Earth? How do they meet any fusion partners or humans? Have they ever had a pet rock? Do they have a little doll of someone they used to know?
Otherwise, I think we're good on character traits and relationships!

Meet Orchid Pearl, a.k.a. Pale Pearl! A gem once owned by a Demanotid (green garnet) in Black Diamond's court who was less then kind, when the Black Court was dismantled and banished, they were left behind... With no owner and no courts they were gifted to Red Diamond's Court, where they met a friend, a Citrine, who was Off-Color...
But then they're sent to help oversee the Reef on a water paradise resort planet, where they make a friend with the young Shiva Eye and the mysterious Noi... all affected by the terror caused by Black Diamond, all friends by choice, who met by chance on a little planet in a galaxy by a dead star...

Not an Au, but a little thing I thought would make u chuckle
Laura in '97 and someone teasing Logan on how much she is just a mini him. Super aggressive, can smell something a mile away, fashion style can be described as "lumberjack".
Logan is not having it and points over at Reader who is their clone/kid.
Charles' kid is three hours deep in a 7D chess game.
Hank's kid is hanging from the rafters reading a science textbook meant for college students.
Kurt's kid is using every part of the manor as a jungle gym and scaring the crap out of everyone while they teleport everywhere.
Scott's kid is the playground monitor and dresses like a middle-aged dad while they carry around baby nate.
Storm's kid can give the most impassioned speeches and has the most majestic hair and her glare that can cut steel.
Just the X-men having to leave Logan alone about his weird clone baby when they have their own weird clone baby
YES ♡-♡
Everyone teases each other, be it about Laura or Nate being a spitting image of their dad, only for Logan and Scott to point out the Readers, eachbine a clone of someone in the mansion and numerous enough to need a few rooms to themselves.
You have Badger, Logan's Reader.
You have Medusa, Scott's Reader.
You have Creechur, Hank's Reader.
You have Nightstalker, Kurt's Reader.
You have Pathos, Xavier's Reader.
You have Changeling, Kevin's Reader.
You have Maelstrom, Storm's Reader.
And there's many more-
(At this point they have a whole section if thr mansion specifically to house all the clone Readers, who are a herd who tend to always get into some misadventure)

I'll try out the mutation assigning thing! I enjoy writing, video games, cartoons, anime, and cosplay. I'm always willing to try new food, but I have a major sweet tooth, as you know. My favorite tropes are found family, human x nonhuman, and small children with PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS! I like fashion, but I have very strong opinions on it and prefer pastels and lighter colors for myself.
I dislike stickers and pickles, always have. I also dislike bad romance tropes. They make me very angry and I worry for anyone who think Christian Gray is attractive. Sitcoms also make me angry because everyone is so rude and no one is held accountable for it. The fashion I dislike most is when it's designed without thought of a person wearing it.
I'm assigning you a mutation and giving you a mutant friend... now:
Your mutation is empathetic manipulation and empathy abilities, but centered mostly on bright, warm emotions. You are someone who brightens the room, who can make anyone feel sugar sweet, and are able to use the emotions around you to keep yourself safe if danger arises! You're a shooting star shining through the dark, changing the world one redeemable villain at a time!
Your friend is Kurt, who likes to sneak sweets with you and try exotic and unique flavors of soda and ice cream! You both share a root beer float and a sundae, and then cuddle on the couch afterwards to ward off brainfreeze and tummy aches.

I seem to only think about movie quotes today, so have a bunch of Reader shenanigans!
*everyone is busy so the Brotherhood is babysitting, now they are trying to teach Bby how to use their wings from their mutation*
Pietro: Here...We...Go! *throws bby off a very, VERY, tall tower*
*They all run to the edge of and watch Reader continue to fall while Pietro remains unbothered*
Todd: ...They're still not flying.
Pietro: They will.
Fred: ...Still not.
Pietro: It'll happen.
Lance: ...This is a tall tower.
Pietro: That's why it's good.
Todd: You should get them.
Wanda: They're gonna fall to their death.
Pietro: They're taking their time.
*Reader screams*
Wanda: PIETRO!
Pietro: I did that when Dad threw me off the first time.
Lance: They're getting too close to the ground!
Pietro:....You know what? They're not gonna fly.
*Zooms down to the bottom to catch the kid.*
‐-------------------
Logan, about Morph: I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I think I'm coming down with something.
Victor, an annoying older brother: Ooooooohh, I know what you have, brother. The L word.
Reader, too ace for this: Yeah! Leprosy!
Victor: No, no, cub. It's four letters, starts with an L, ends with an E.
Reader: *thinking hard* Ahhhh! Lice!
Victor: No-
‐-------------------
Reader, distressed: They think I'm a fascist? But I don't control the railways or the flow of commerce!
‐-------------------
Mystique, being used as a mannequin: It looks awful.
Reader, sewing Rogue's prom dress: That's because it's on you, dear.
‐-------------------
Kitty, to Lance: Would you like to stay for dinner?
Reader, ultimate wingman (when they are told what's going on, at least): WOULD YOU LIKE TO STAY FOREVER?!
‐-------------------
Reader, looking at Erik: You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity.
‐-------------------
*Reader and Magneto in a fight where they accidentally trigger a bomb*
Reader, shoving it at Magneto: Merry Christmas!
Erik, pushing it back: It's not Christmas!
Reader, tossing it at him and running away: Happy Hanukkah!
‐-------------------
Reader, about Victor: There's one in every family. And they always manage to ruin special occasions.
Logan: What am I going to do with him?
Reader: He'd make a very handsome throw rug.
Logan: Reader!
Reader: and just think, whenever he gets dirty, you can take him out and beat him!
‐-------------------
Lance: Rob? Tsk tsk tsk that's a naughty word. We never rob...we just borrow from those who can afford it.
Reader: Borrow? Boy, are we in debt.
‐-------------------
Gambit, carrying Reader after accidently lighting a bunch of fireworks with his power: Get off the roof Get off the roof Get off the roof!
‐-------------------
Reader, who has to be the distraction for the plan: I've got a jar of diiirrt! I've got a jar of diiiiiiiirrrrrrrt!
‐-------------------
Reader: Kurt, I'm afraid I've been thinking-
Kurt: a dangerous past time-
Reader: I know!
‐-------------------
Deadpool, hugging Reader: I shall call them Squishy and they shall be mine and they shall be my Squishy! Come here, Little Squishy!
Reader: *punches DP*
Deadpool: OW! BAD SQUISHY! BAD!
‐-------------------
Reader, about the X-Men: This is my family. I found it...all on my own. It's little...and broken...but still good....Yeah, still good.
This... is a masterpiece. Behold everyone, the saga of Reader!!!
Enjoy their antics, and weep from the funnies!!!

I colorpicked from the images of our ocs and got two colors that could be used for a fusion for all of them if the need should ever arise. The dark one is from everyone's hair, and the lighter one is from their skin.
Oooo! They'd be so beautiful ♡^♡!!!!
Would They have six arms and two legs, two arms and four legs, four arms and four legs? I imagine they have six eyes, puffy hair with messy buns and stray hairs and curls, heeled boots or bare feet, maybe they wear a mask?
Their clothes are probably burgundy and black and gray-mauve... Hmmm... For a name, they could be called Crinoid, Turritella Agate, or Ammonite...
They're a tall, towering gem who is quiet, cool-headed, and no-nonsense, with a dry humor and dark jokes galore...

Demi-god! Reader being given a magic bow with arrows of different types of love. Love between friends, siblings, parents, and kids.
Reader looks at the romantic and ***ual arrows and just....throws those arrows in the campfire and roasts marshmallows over them in front of everyone.
The bow and the rest of arrows are normally just hanging in their room. They like their frisbee better.
Yee!
Reader, though, has kept hidden their true nature and what they are the representation/demigod/reincarnated deity of... (and they cherish their frisbee/discus of protection and death...)
Each demigod, eventually, will see a symbol, one that can show them what their power and what demigod they are... When Reader first say their's, at the disgruntled age of twelve or thirteen, they threw up that night, waving off the others and joking they must have eaten an undercooked piece of meat or some bad vegetables... because... how could they ever, ever tell anyone they were some demigod or old god of Love, a being feared because no mortal or immortal could resist it, none could fight it, and now... would Reader be hurt for it? Or would their friends, the other demigods, suffer for it?
No. Nonono! Reader will become strong, assertive, charming, cunning. They won't act like a demigod of Love; they'll act like a warrior. No one can hurt them if they're prepared. No one can hurt their friends if they're strong enough. And none of them will ever, ever have to be forgotten by the gods or left to die on their own, not if Reader can help it...
(Some of the early campers/demigods, alongside Reader, were Lance, Gambit, Pietro and Wanda... later campers would be Scott and Jean... then Todd... then Rogue... then Fred... then Kurt, followed by Kitty and Evan... and even others...)
(There are nine remaining/not-disappeared gods of the Krakoan or Genoshan Pantheon: Xavier/Cerebro, one king of the gods and god of the mind, sleep, hypnosis, control, and marriage; there's Magneto, other king of the gods, god of metals, workmanship/craftsmanship, oaths, and leaders; there's Storm, goddess of the weather, storms, sun, rain, snow, wind, and the seasons; there's Wolverine, god of warriors, the woods, Autumn, animals, and comradery, as well as alcohol; there's Beast, god of knowledge, science, healing, medicine, and scholars; there's Morph, deity of change, mischief, LGBTQA+, wits/cunning, trickery, and messenger of the gods; there's Mystique, goddess of secrets, truth, lies, deception, and vengeance; there's Sabretooth, god of warriors, battle, the hunt, nature, cats, madness, and loyalty; and then there's Destiny, goddess of fate, visions, prophecies, destiny, and advice...) (and then the "father" of gods and demigods... Apocalypse, god/titan of time, space, and power... sealed away and forced into eternal slumber...)

Reboot/ Cocoa notices two things while working with Scott(y):
1. He looks a lot like Cyclops from the show, especially with his glasses.
2. Despite his resemblance, his favorite character is Jean!
So they ask him if he wants to go to a cosplay conventional with them and buys him a little Jean action figure as a joke.
He isn't sure which is more embarrassing: having to explain why he needs to take his suit to Reader's world or having to explain the little action figure on his nightstand now.
Reader also gets him some X-Men bracelets, and he proudly wears them all-
Then he asks about a specific character, and Reader isn't sure who he's talking about...
Cue Scott(y) trying not to panic or cry, because his friend/little sibling is supposed to at least know who they are! And they don't?! Cr*p, he needs to tell the others!
Scott(y) is able to get Reader a small stuffed character plush, and he is very happy when they smile at it, thanking him-
(He so tells everyone about it, and is now telling them they need to start mentioning Reader, and their hero/villain/alias, and try to introduce that part of themself back to them... The others note Reader is now sleeping with a plushie of one of them, and are all watching as Reader falls asleep clutching it like it might disappear or be taken from them...)

Hey guys... So, I have news. My grandpa is still alive. He was in the E.R. on Halloween, and my parent and I were able to see him. On Friday, we brought him some blankets and a cardinal squishmallow to use as a pillow, and kept him company for a few hours that morning, then visited again and spent a few hours with him in the evening.
Good news: The nurses, doctors, and staff have been taking very good care of him, amd they're taking tests and finding out what's going on, so we can all help my grandpa to the best of our abilities. Bad news: Yes, he is dying, and probably doesn't have another year left.
When he gets to come home us when the hospital says he's healthy enough and once they've done all the tests and figured out what's going on. They've all been so kind, to him and to us.
Thank you all, for your well wishes and not getting upset about Halloween. Y'all have been so kind, too. I... I have a small thing I want to do, and I'll try to discuss this with @thewickedweiner and @sugar-soda, but it comes down to: I've wanted to make an OC inspired by/based on my grandpa for a few months, and I have spent Halloween night and Friday finally making a story about it, to help me cope with everything. I'll try to explain it the best I can later, and the OC isn't my grandpa, but its based on him, and is therfore awesome and amazing and gets to be old buddies with Wolverine and Sabretooth, and the Reader of that story is adopted by Logan once their grandpa isn't able to care for them/is in the hospital and doesn't have much longer to live. (I'll explain more later. I know I'm coping in my own way. And I think I had two signs that it's okay that I do this au/story and the OC grandpa, which I'll fund a name for later. First, on Halloween, I finally got a Wolverine bag clip from a mystery thing, which I haven't been able to do for a few months; and two, his night nurse was named Logan. So, I could be projecting, or being superstitious, or reading into things too much, but, well... I can't help but wonder if it's okay to make the au to cope, and this is God or the universe's way of letting me know it is, and it will be okay...)
Thank you all again, so so so much, for your well wishes, and being so thoughtful and kind. I hope y'all had an amazing Halloween, and have been taking care of yourselves. I appreciate y'all, and hope y'all know y'all are so swell and wonderful. Thank you 💛🧡

I'd say your trademark is animalistic/Feral Aus.
Characters going back to baser instincts, kids being called "pups" and "cubs", and reliance on senses like smell and hearing, all that fun wild family/pack stuff.
It provides a different perspective on a family unit than the standard nuclear family we see, especially in yandere stories. All the adults care for the kids, with the whole group searching if one goes missing.
Thank you, Sugar!!!! Hahaha, yep, Ferals and Feral Mutants are some of my absolute favorites! I like exploring everyone as one big, sometimes happy family, who's all for one and one for all, and who tend to have less-than-healthy-or-normal tendencies...
What can I say! It's fun to explore those dynamics, and what it's like to be outside the norms!

Normal! Reader: You guys know you don't need to follow me around. I'm not that interesting.
Yan Teens: You're affiliated with us! You need protection and you don't have a mutation!
Normal! Reader: Oh don't worry. I can defend myself just fine.
Yan Teens: Oh yeah? How?
Normal! Reader: The same way everyone else without a mutation does.
*cocks pistol*
With a gun.
Reader: Yep! Turns out if you use this bad boy, most people will leave you alone! Or, if you want something a bit more accurate, you have... your trusty metal bat!
Yan Teens: Wh-? NO! No, bad Reader! You shouldn't use those!
Reader: Why? I can't always have you around! And these are efficient! See, watch! hits a ball which then beans a bully in the head in the distance
Yan Teens: Still NO! But good accuracy-
Yan Teens, thinking: How do we get those away from them oh cr*p what if they learn about our guardians getting involved wait what if they keep the gun nonoNonONO-!
Reader: Huh, you guys got quiet all of sudden... Um. I'm gonna just- go- runs off, trying not to scream
(They're all nervous about how to get out of or pursue this strange friendship. It doesn't help when the teens keep trying to either prove Reader has to be a mutant, or try to find ways to make them one... And it doesn't help when the adults get involved, either...)

The reason I said Reader only truly dislikes Fred and Mystique out of the Brotherhood is because one of the few episodes I remember with clarity is the episode where Fred straight KIDNAPS JEAN, like with rope and everything. While the fight he has with Scott and Rogue after the fact was awesome, and I very much enjoyed it, that cemented him in a bad guy spot for me. As a kidnapping victim themselves, who saw the other victims die, and his general asshole-ishness afterward, Reader probably is ready to go full Micheal Myers on him.
For Mystique, I honestly can't remember her being in the show at all, but apparently she was there, and was a terrible mother to Kurt and Rogue. So Reader hates her because of that, because they love their friends and thinks Storm is the better mom.
Erik may also end up on Reader's hitlist when he shows up, depending on his behavior.
Those three are on Reader's sh*t list, and face many, many various hauntings from them... So does Lance, when Reader finds out he almost dropped a building on Kitty.
Reader is very, very protective of their friends! No one gets to drop Scott or Kurt off a cliff, or kidnap Jean or Rogue, or be mean to Kitty and Evan, and then get away with it! (It's why Pietro has a new hair color each week for a month after he and Evan got in a fight-).
Duncan... he has it the worst, because he's an overall jerky person who doesn't ever seem to learn a lesson. So he gets paint in his shoes, toothpaste in his drinks, creepy writing on the walls, and is haunted by a deer skull floating in the shadows.
Yep.
No one better be a jerk or too awful, or they get Reader to haunt them-
(Lance and the Brotherhood are trying to free the X-Men of what what think is the ghost of Reader and are trying to put Reader to rest, so they called in Magneto and the Acolytes. THAT is going to be an awkward mess-)

Peter and Wanda "meet" "ghost" Reader in middle of a middle of the night snack raid in the kitchen and see Reader. Wanda is a trying to blink the sleep away, not sure if she is dreaming or if she has a new sleep paralysis demon. Peter, on the other hand, is wide awake when he realizes that Reader has laxatives in hand and is the one who has been putting them in his drinks (he's been blaming Todd) and is probably the one behind all the other crap in the house (actually only a third, another third is the house is old and just breaks sometimes and the Brotherhood teens cause the last bit on their own.)
Neither of them recognize Reader as the X-teen who went missing a few months ago. But Peter declares war on the stupid Ghost haunting the Brotherhood while Wanda's goth angsty self thinks having a ghost in house is awesome, especially one that ticks off her brother.
The X-teens start to suspect something is up when they not one, not two, but THREE brotherhood kids in the school library for hours. Kitty is happy Lance is taking his studies seriously for once and Scott is sure they're planning something.
(Lance is trying to figure out how to put a spirit to rest, Wanda is reading up on how to communicate with the dead, and Peter wants to know how to punch a ghost)
Lance is looking up books on exorcisms, different ghost types, ghost folklore, and how to put spirits back to rest, while Wanda is looking up different witch books and how to befriend ghosts and what appeases them, and Pietro is looking up how to attack ghosts. So it's a mess of guy who feels like Norman or Dipper from Paranorman and Gravity Falls, that witch guy from Scooby Doo plus a Hex Girl mixed with Wrdnesday Addams, and Ghostbuster guy mixed with Coraline.
They make the weirdest ghost study experts for the school.
When Kitty and Scott finally figure it out, that they're convinced they have a ghost haunting Bayville, those two take a few days to figure it out...
When they do, they're trying not to laugh or feel worried, because Reader, why did you haunt them, and wait, YOU were the one who put those frogs in Ms. Snobbkeys classroom?! Reader!
Reader is laughing about all of this, but means it all in good fun (mostly), so the teens aren't really mad...
Of course...
How do they explain to the Brotherhood Reader is, well, alive, but has kinda gained... creepy powers, due to their... long time away... Because they don't want to go through the footage again, or explain it, or even think about it!
While the teens figure out what to do, the Brotherhood is prepping salt circles and offerings, and Reader is sleeping in the medbay because they got a cold, again, and need to stop going out in rainy weather.
(This Reader is so spooky! Good idea, @sugar-soda!)

It's horribly angsty for sentinal! Reader's friends too.
This is Reader. Not a clone that replaced them like what's happened with other members. It's Reader, who cried and laughed and comforted and worked with them. They are family.
But now they're shutting down. The kid is made of at least half or more of the enemy, but that doesn't mean they are! But Reader is too busy having an extensial crisis on top of everything to comforted.
So how do they put their sweet little robot back together?
They have a few options to put their sweet kid or friend back together... A few may be more... complicated... but it's nothing they can't handle! Anything, anything for Reader to come back and be themself, and not disappear or fade away...
They can always rebuild Reader. Simply replace old parts with new ones. Take away the damaged bits, fix what they can, ads in updated and safer materials, and add their mind back in. It might be the simplest one, but it still means if someone got their hands on Reader, they could destroy them, or even worse, destroy their mind or soul, the one piece they can't replace...
There's always cloning or growing a body from freely-given DNA. They'd take a donor, or their original creator's, and grow them a body in a hidden, sterilized lab. They can even age it to a certain point, so Reader is still their designated age. If they want a preferred look, they can try that too, they suppose. It would be a bit... harder, granted, but... it also means Reader wouldn't be confined to a metal, moldable body, and that they're a bit safer from others by being human/mutant...
Or... there's simply keeping them in-between. A cyborg of some type, who has human parts, such as skin and perhaps a stomach and perhaps eyes or hair or senses and a nervous system. Some robotic parts might need to keep their human parts alive and stable, such as something to help their heart or replace it, metal frame or bones, perhaps a tracking device or two... Simply add enough human parts to let Reader have senses and a pulse, and enough metal and robotic pieces to keep their body stable and alive. A bit more complicated, but it is an option nonetheless...
(What do you think, @sugar-soda and Cube Anon?) (I keep imagining Hank amd Charles and Erik bonking heads together over this, doing their best to figure out the best option and having entire folders and blueprints for each option and the follow-through plans for them, as well as designing each part needed to help Reader function, and so many notes on what parts should be worked on first, which parts last, how many bumps to expect in the road to Reader's recovery... Those three have everything planned out)

For the Gemling and Gem Au or even adult Half-Gem! Reader, the hijinks of them trying to figure out how exactly to take care of a human makes me laugh. Gem! Storm trying to make food and catching the stove on fire, Gem! Xavier trying to entertain the toddler by playing space chess, Gem! Logan reading a parenting book while Gem! Sabretooth is trying to get Reader dressed (the outfit is ugly and they REFUSE to wear it). Comedy Gold, I say!
Even better if half Gem! Reader is half-diamond like Steven. Cause they want to be reverent and respectful and maybe a little scared but Reader needed to eat their veggies but would prefer to cupcakes but dessert is supposed to be after dinner and-MY DIAMOND NO!
(I love these Half-Gem Aus and I'm not even a fan of Steven Universe! Your writing is just that good)
Thank you! And honestly, I not even sure which adult would end up with half gem Reader! If they were a Dimaond, I'm thinking they would either be a Red Diamond, Orange Diamond, or Green Diamond!
Reader as a little toddler, happily playing with little dolls, and being watched over by their worried, terrified adult gem guardian. They have little to no clue about how raise a human, let alone one who is part Diamond! Especially if they're THEIR Diamond. They want what's best for them, and care for them, adore them, even, but they're just so... little. Breakable. Squishy. And they need constant care and food and water and cleaning.
The adult gem learns pretty fast what to do (and especially what not to do) when it comes to raising Reader. Their little star likes food, but they have to be forceful when it comes to eating certain ones, such as eating green veggies, fish, and soup, and not having too much sugar or acids. They learn humans bleed easily, and have to be easy with Reader when it comes to discipline or teaching self-defense, otherwise they could use too much force and break them. And bedtimes... Their little star needs sleep, lots at night, and a nap once or twice during the day.
Slowly, over the next few years, they realize Reader is growing up to be bigger, taller, different... And discover that humans live nowhere near as long as gems. This sends them into a panic attack, worried Reader will be gone too fast. Gems live for eons, millenia! Humans maybe live to be hundred! That's nothing to gems! Amd their kid is... they're part human. And if they don't figure out a way to keep them alive, or a way to make it so they can't die, then they could lose Reader to anything...
Reader grows up, loving their parental figure, and unaware of their gem type of much about gem culture, besides a few basic gem types and a bit about the Diamond Authority. It isn't until they're about fourteen or fifteen that they amd their parental figure find out a ship is heading towards Earth, in search of their parent... And their parent is scared, for once, that Reader can openly see...
Their parent can only hope no one hurts their diamond, or finds out this shocking secret...
