Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow I have decided I must put out a Brobecks/IDKHow listening guide for the people.

For the single/Valentine-less:

Die Alone by the Brobecks, is an old favorite of mine and honestly iconic. (can be found on YouTube and the live versions are amazing, definitely recommend listening to those)

Sleeping Pills by the Brobecks, not related to love, but is for all my people who have issues with sleep (like me!). (can be found on YouTube)

Better Than Me by the Brobecks, title speaks for itself, song is a mood and was one of the first of their songs I liked. (can be found on all streaming platforms)

For the heartbroken:

A Letter by the Brobecks, is a breakup letter being read out with vocals and instrumentals. 10/10, and is one of my favorite Brobecks songs (can be found on YouTube)

I'll Break Your Arm by the Brobecks, honestly didn't know where to categorize this one, but it kinda fit here. Another one of my favorite Brobeck songs that will typically make it on a playlist if I want to listen to the Brobecks. (can be found on YouTube)

For the Infatuated/Obsessed:

Infatuation by I Don't Know How But They Found Me, the title speaks for itself. I've been obsessed with it lately and will recommend it of course. (On all streaming platforms and was released last month!)

From the Gallows by IDKHow, amazing, brilliant, absolutely in love with it. One of my favorite tracks off Razzmatazz and this just screams obsession. (Can be found on all streaming platforms)

March 2 by the Brobecks, talks about someone who is obsessed with someone everyone tells them to leave alone. Loved this song a few years ago, but not as into it anymore. (can be found on YouTube)

If You Like It or Not by the Brobecks, fucking love this song despite not listening to it much. It just a vibe and is super danceable. (one of the few Brobecks songs on all streaming platforms!! Go stream Violent Things, it's amazing)

West of California by the Brobecks, one of my all-time favorites by the Brobecks. 10/10, will always recommend. (Sadly only on YouTube)

For those in love/Valentinee's (idk if that's a word, but IT IS NOW):

Le Velo Pour Duex by the Brobecks, absolutely love it, about Dallon Weekes' wife so it can come in this category. (On all streaming platforms)

Love at First Sight by the Brobecks, this is one is self telling, what kind of person would I be if I didn't add this??? Is super fucking cute and was honestly one of the first songs I liked by the Brobecks. (On all streaming platforms with some pretty good live performances)

City Lights by the Brobecks, is another one of my favorite Brobecks songs (definitely makes my top 3). 10/10, no notes. (Only on YouTube :,) )

Kiss Goodnight by IDKHow, is literally my favorite song by IDKHow, absolutely in love with it and would go fall in love just so I have an experience to tie to this song. (On all streaming platforms!!)

patd started with brendon,ryan ross, spencer, and brent in 2005 and a fever you can’t sweat out is released. brent was kicked out of the band for “being irresponsible” and was replaced with jon. pretty odd comes out and then a couple years later the band splits over “creative differences” between ryan and brendon, who were really close at the time, and also a suspected couple by the fans. ryan and jon left and brendon and spencer made vices and virtues. dallon joins the band as a touring bassist (ian joined as a touring guitarist) dallon and brendon seem to be close, (plus the whole stage gay thing, which brendon had done with ryan too) dallon joins the band as an official member. too weird to live too rare to die is made. spencer leaves due to health issues and is replaced by kenny at some point during this. ian leaves and is replaced with dan for the position of touring guitarist. dallon steps down creatively a few years later but continued to tour for a bit. death of a bachelor comes out. (kenny also ends up getting kicked from the band for snapchatting young girls? idk the story, thats just what ive heard. he was replaced with mike) dallon leaves the band and joins up with ryan seaman, who’d he’d been in the brobecks with. ryan had been in falling in reverse, which he also left. they form idkhow. pray for the wicked comes out. dallon is replaced with nicole, a touring bassist. zack, the band’s bodyguard, faced sexual harassment claims and was kicked from ever working with panic again. all people associated with patd have to take anti harassment classes, which is what brendon decided. breezy, dallons wife, came forward saying zack had made her uncomfortable and harassed her, but didn’tsay anything so dallon could keep his job. brendon is accused of being transphobic. (he said a transphobic slur during an interview. he apologized and said he was quoting a friend but shouldn’t have said it and didn’t realize how hurtful the word was) brendon faces sexual harassment claims. these turn out to be false, made by a teenage girl with fake twitter accounts who wanted to do a “experiment” brendon hasn’t been on social media since mid 2020. i believe he streamed on twitch later that year tho.

there was also some drama surrounding chelsey, a huge stalker of the band. she accessed family and friends of patd’s private social media accounts. she posted pictures before they were posted, or pics that were never meant to be posted. she also got brendons old number right after he changed it. she used that to catfish ryan ross for 9 months, pretending to be brendon and convincing him they were friends again andwere going to make music together again. (supposedly brendon reached out to ryan after this all happened by ryan never responded) i’ve also heard some people say sarah, brendons wife, befriended chelsey and tried to get the fandom to forgive her?

as for the fanfic, its called the milk fic. i’ve never read it, but its about brendon giving ryan a milk enema (?) its really creepy, brendons read it and has voiced how he thinks its fucked up.

So kinda long story but I relatively recently discovered that I really like idkhow and ended up also becoming a fan of waterparks and the brobecks (I think that’s how you spell it) and I learned that dallon weekes was in p!atd, whose music I enjoy, but I am not like a fan that could tell you every word to every song. So I’m just looking at stuff about idkhow and start seeing stuff about brendon urie and I’m like ok that makes sense cause two members were in the same band but then I see people start saying how there was a bunch of drama about p!atd (and like I knew that there was some disturbing fanfiction and people who would call you a fake fan if you didn’t know random trivia about the members but I didn’t know anything about why the actual members left what brendon urie did) and I went to look it up and man that was a lot of information so If anyone wants to like explain without being confusing I would love that
