ATTENTION ATTENTION STARKID, PULP, TCB, SMOSH AND SW FANS!!!
I apologise now for the many tags, but this is important, as many algorithms have just been pushing down these.
I come as a messenger of the good word of Tinlightenment to remind y’all that this Tin Can KS is ALL OR NOTHING! This means if we don’t get that last 90k, NONE of these are going to happen.
If y’all liked Headless from Shipwrecked’ Comedy (which idk how yoh wouldn’t lmao), we’ve got some amazing people from Headless in these projects, like James, Tom Lenk, the obvious babes with the bros, Curt, and OF COURSE MK! Thats just for Spy Another Day, as we have folks like Gabe in Solve It Squad and which also has Ashley from Poe Party AND The Lizzie Bennet Diaries! I feel like all these amazing amazing people deserve the chance to do more projects with each other in this circle!
I also know many of you like Joe Walker, and Joe said he’d come back for this, BUT said on stream that if they don’t get this, he’s not coming back to acting AT ALL. And I know no one wants that, let’s not let Joe down there!
And for a bonus draw to the StarKid fandom, especially the OG potterheads, just like with the Wiggly, Corey will be giving away a copy of the AVPSY script to a backer. If you want to put in for the drawing, just make sure you have backed!
Now to the Pulp fans, we’ve got 3/4 main leads in the Spy Another Day show! We would get Mariah as the lounge singer at the start, James as the informant, and Curt as, well, Agent Curt Mega. But ONLY if we get this!
As for y’all Smoshheads (do y’all have a fandom name idk?), the only way we get the amazing trio of Arasha, Angela, and Chase on The Great Debate is if we GET THIS LAST 90K! If y’all enjoy Arasha lying to everyone and the reactions to that, The Great Debate is right up your alley, I guarantee!
Not to mention the NEW NEW projects like Gross Prophets AND Intelligent Life which we just will NOT get if we don’t reach the goal, and that quite genuinely would be so upsetting, especially with Gross Prophets as this is the FIRST TCB project to have two AMAZING women (Ali Gordon and Angela Parrish) taking the helm on original music which would be AWESOME to see!
And for overseas peeps this also allows them to do shows out fo the US for the FIRST TIME EVER! Not only will they be doing a smaller version of Spy Another Day, but the reason they’ll be in the area is to also do the EDINBURGH FRINGE FEST with Solve it Squad which would be MASSIVE! Plus we will also get stuff in Adelaide as well! Alongside those we WILL get digital tickets for many of them, so even if you aren’t in the area, don’t let that deter you from pledging!
If anyone is waiting because they don’t have money now but will at the end, DO NOT WORRY! Just like with all Kickstarters prior and in the future, the money doesn’t come out it until AFTER the campaign is over! So get those pledges in now babes! Please we need all of your help!
Please, please go to tinlightenment.com and pledge, even 10-20 dollars is enough to help the bros pull off so many of these cool projects that ONLY can happen with your help. If you like any of these creators, please please help!

LOTTIE PLATCHETT TOOK A HATCHET
So it turns out that there's only one thing that can drag me away from Starkid and that is, uh, *checks notes*... Starkid.
So, yeah, a lot of Starkid stuff went down today (AND I AM SO EXCITED!!!!), but it was also the day of Lauren's one-night-only reprisal of her role as the titular heroine in Lottie Platchett. So I did miss the livestream (I will be watching it ASAP though!). But, you know, the show is called Lottie Platchett Took A HATCHET, and featured Dirty Girl Jokes(TM) and Lauren playing a super horny virgin, so I feel like it was pretty on-theme for Hatchetfield weekend nonetheless.
Lauren was terrific as always, navigating Lottie's maze of psychological hang-ups and complexes with ease. And for my fellow Shipwreckers, Ryan W. Garcia (this IS a Ryan Garcia stan account, people!), Tom DeTrinis, and Tom Lenk were all also in the cast and so fucking funny!
DeTrinis and I got into a staring contest and stared way too intensely at each other for way too long. That's the sort of show it was.
It also had some pretty interesting things to say about sexuality, hypocrisy, femininity, and, uh, the care and keeping of doves? And it featured Ryan as an old man, Tom D. as the female Irish maid and a lawyer named Ballsack, and, in one glorious scene, Tom L. as a psychotically murderous womb. No, that is not a typo. Yes, the male characters in the play have vivid imaginations.
So, yeah, Lottie Platchett was a blast! Lauren might have bowed out tonight (Ryan was very cute, making sure she got a special round of applause and hyping her up), but Ryan and the Toms are still there and a lot of the comedy feels similar to stuff you'd get in a Starkid show, so if you're in LA and you can, go see it! It's a silly good time!
(I should probably mention that there's a lot of discussion of incest though. Like, A LOT. It never actually happens, but the threat of it lingers over the show and every single one of the Platchetts.)
#Also Joey was there to see Lauren in case you guys were wondering why he bowed out of the livestream early#he was there with JOE WALKER#(hi Joe I miss you)#And Traci and I think??? Mia#Lauren Lopez#Tom DeTrinis#Ryan W Garcia#Tom Lenk#Lottie Platchett took a hatchet

Wild thing about BTVS as a show.
The one (recurring) cast member who I know of who is confirmed queer IRL (Tom Lenk) did in fact play a (barely) closeted gay man in the show. And in the after TV comics, Andrew (the character) was made an official Scooby Gang member and came out as gay to everyone (to which everyone was like "bestie, thanks for telling, but we knew years ago")
So I guess that's one tiny thing it has going for it as far as queer media goes.
But as I stated in my tags, I refuse to vote for Buffy in "Best Queer Anything" after what they did to Tara. It was just horrible. No vote from me there.
I didn't read much of the comics and I had no idea there was actually a gay cast member! So I mean that's cool and for the time having a lesbian couple was decent but then KILLING TARA was idiotic (Joss loves pulling idiot moves for his lady characters ofc) and I wouldn't have ever thought of BTVS as a really queer piece of media as much as all the queers loved the tiny scrap we were thrown and then the homoerotic situation with Buffy and Faith (which I personally didn't like but whatever). JOHN WATERS IS A QUEER WHO MAKES INCREDIBLY QUEER MEDIA I feel like insulted on his behalf by that poll lmao. With that said I actually preferred more of the Angel series (until Joss pulled that horrible plot line with Cordelia and I was crushed).

Seriously. I feel like everyone on this website would love this show. It's got a very particular brand of humor. It's the kind of show you need to rewatch to catch everything.
It's got witches and ghosts (some of them headless) and romance and VERY shippable ships and VERY quotable quips and mystery and unexpected character moments and a himbo/goth romance and unexpected feminism and Tom Lenk and Felicia Day and John Rubinstein and Matthew Mercer and Ginny Di.
Basically, if you're a nerd of any kind there is probably something in this show that you would like, so PLEASE, for your sake and mine, go watch it!
I've been harping on Headless being amazing for a while now, and I would hope everyone who's read my ravings has watched it by now. In case you haven't, though, it's now easier than ever: @shipwreckedcomedy just released the Complete Cut on YouTube! The full series, as a single video, that you can watch like a movie!
youtube
This show has an amazing balance of spookiness, silliness, and mystery, with an amazing cast, great writing, and an absolutely fantastic soundtrack!
Follow Ichabod Crane, the new science teacher at Sleepy Hollow Middle School, as he meets the Headless Horseman, makes friends, and solves the mystery of the Horseman's missing head and his own history with the town. There's twists and turns, babes and bards, an honest-to-goodness HEIST, and so much more! Check it out!

Iazul
O mistério, a meu ver, permanece.
Sim, tudo passa! Virão dias melhores, dias calmos, dias felizes; a prosperidade e a boa sorte voltarão a iluminar a nossa jornada; a saúde será reconquistada; a serenidade procurará pouso em nosso atribulado coração!
E vale a pena repetir: Iazul! Iazul! Isso passa! Isso passa!
Iazul, Malba Tahan

What are your thoughts on Andrew as a character? I know lots of people hate him, I personally don't, but I'm curious to see what you think.
I'm kind of neutral-to-positive on Andrew. As a character in isolation, I like him well enough. He's got some interesting layers and Tom Lenk is very enjoyable in the role. He's not a character I devote a lot of mental energy to, but he's fine.
I have more mixed feelings about his presence in S7. As I've said before, S7 is agressively overstuffed with characters, and Andrew is for my money the most clearly superfluous. He doesn't add anything thematically that other characters don't already. There's no need for this character's quasi-redemption arc when you've already got four other more important characters on their own quasi-redemption arcs. But on the other hand, I do appreciate him as a source of levity in a season where it is so very sparse.
If I was going back in time and fixing S7, Andrew would be one of the first things on my cutting room floor. Not because of any animosity towards Andrew, but because editing means trimming the fat, and Andrew is quite obviously part of the fat.

now that I've got to Touched in my rewatch, I'm coming down on the side of actually really liking season seven. I think it's because I watched buffy on my own when I was younger, completely disconnected from the fandom or anyone else's thoughts on it - I didn't have a single account on any website when I watched it. so I pretty much started from the slightly immature but not awful premise that 'this is a good show therefore all of it is going to be good' and the first time I watched it I pretty much loved every episode, because I expected to.
perhaps that led me to fill in a lot of blanks in season seven with my own explanations for things that I'm now realising were headcannons more than they were actually there in the scripts. but I see the way willow looks at buffy changing over the course of the season and the way buffy leaves xander and willow alone in the hospital and willow starts to cry, which I see as as much about them not being a group of three who can heal together anymore as it is about xander's eye. I like spike and buffy's relationship reaching, on shaky ground, something of the tone it had in season five where spike was the person buffy could sit with in the dark and admit the things she couldn't admit in well-lit rooms. I like what 'I'm not ready for you not to be here' means in the context of a battle and the context of wondering what a soul means for forgiveness, boundaries, atonement and being a different person. I love the cautious affection that they have, and how it's never 'I love you lets kiss now' but it's 'I think we can fight together and I think you can mean something to me with the soul even if I can't look at you easily'. I love faith and buffy finally looking at each other and really seeing each other after circling around each other all this time reflecting and refracting and not quite understanding each other. I love andrew partly because tom lenk's acting is just always amazing, but also because he is both poignant and hilarious and I find him funnier every time.
I fully acknowledge that when I first watched it I was determined to like it so I did, and when I see people writing about plot holes there aren't really any that I disagree with (what WAS the first aiming for??). but when I rewatch it now fifteen years after my first time I still have all those emotions and I find more to love in it over time. maybe I'm just choosing to enjoy it despite a lot of flaws but I really like choosing to enjoy it.

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, Felicia Day (Our resident hat-wearing Potential Vi) and Tom Lenk (Our resident story-telling cook Andrew) are doing a podcast together! Can you believe it? Yup, I sure can. I wonder if they´re going to mention Buffy at some point since you know, two former co-stars coming together to do a podcast...reminiscing guaranteed!

The Tony Awards were supposed to be held on Sunday, but the pandemic darkened Broadway just as the 2019-20 season was kicking into high gear.
“Six,” the much-buzzed-about musical about the wives of “Henry VIII,” was scheduled to open on March 12, the day the theaters were closed. The new revival of “Company,” starring Katrina Lenk as a female “Bobbie” and Patti LuPone as one of the ladies who lunch, was still in previews. So too was “Diana,” the splashy musical about Princess Di that was launched at La Jolla Playhouse.
Some shows, including an eagerly awaited revival of the Tony Kushner-Jeanine Tesori musical “Caroline, or Change,” have been rescheduled for next season. But, sadly, the production of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” starring Laurie Metcalf and Rupert Everett and the Broadway premiere of Martin McDonagh’s “Hangmen,” both of which were in previews, have been called off.
Despite Broadway’s abrupt suspension, there was no shortage of work to acknowledge. I was looking forward to celebrating Jeremy O. Harris’ path-breaking “Slave Play,” thrillingly directed by Robert O’Hara, and was ready to go to the mat for Ivo van Hove’s multimedia reconstruction of “West Side Story.”
I also was eager to salute Laura Linney for her emotionally translucent solo turn in “My Name Is Lucy Barton” and hoped to see Mary-Louise Parker and her costar Will Hochman feted for their seamless work in Adam Rapp’s “The Sound Inside.” I assumed no one would forget Jamie Lloyd’s pitch-perfect revival of Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal” with Tom Hiddleston and longed to see Adrienne Warren properly extolled for her star-making performance in the title role of “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.”
But instead of choosing the best from an incomplete list, I decided to play a different game. Looking back at the last 10 years of Tony winners, I came up with my own nominations and winners for the Charlie Awards, representing the crème de la crème of Broadway from 2010 through 2019.

Note
who would you say are the nicest actors you've met? stage door or not?
oh god there are so many!
Tom Hanks (at my old job I ran a Tumblr AnswerTime with him and he was so kind and wanted me in the photo he had to take at the start of the Q&A and typed on my personal laptop and made me promise to disinfect the keyboard because he was sick)
Nicest man alive, Nikhil Saboo
Tyler Hoechlin (met him at my old job and he truly made an effort to get to know me which he did not need to do and made sure to remember my name that’s MY Superman)
Reneé Rapp (the last time I was at Mean Girls she was stopped like 6 more times for more photos and autographs at the stage door after she’d already been through the line and was trying to go home and she was so nice and enthusiastic to everyone about it I wanted to yell at her to go home)
Erika Henningsen
Grey Henson
Brittney Mack (never forget when she just collapsed into a hug in my arms at Six stage door)
HEIDI SCHRECK
Katrina Lenk (I only ever met her at Band’s Visit closing stage door and she was so kind)
Kate Baldwin
Gavin Creel
Pascal Pastrana
Kevin Csolak
Peppermint
The Queen Of Kindness And Goodness Nicolette Robinson
Brittney Johnson
Ashley De La Rosa
Katy Mixon (I met her through work)
Brittany Snow (also through work)
Gina Rodriguez (also also through work)
There’s probably more but these are the ones that come to mind as being ESPECIALLY nice to me personally
