This afternoon, we received our first ever order in 13 years that came with a Hebrew address. It is really strange how when we tried to click-copy-paste the shipping address onto our address sticker template, it keeps showing up completely reversed? The roman numbers are showing up correct, but everything else is completely reversed, not just the word order, but even the 'spelling' within an individual word. Now we are wondering which is the right order.... 🤔 Hoping the customer will reply his/her email soon!! www.littleoddforest.com . . #alwayssomethingnew #learningaswego #littleoddforest #xmasorders #christmasorders #xmasgifts #christmasgifts #gnomes #gnomefriends #gnomesofinstagram #gnomesareawesome #xmasgnome #wristlet #gnomepurse #vegangoods #veganpurse #handmade #etsy #designedinsg #sgdesign #gnomelove #gnomelife #kawaii #kitsch #harajuku #kidspurse #kidsootd #kidult #cosplay

Now that you have met Gnorris the Gnome it is time to see the Cath Kidston collection that stars him! I'm so in love with this collection I can't stand it! I can't believe I missed when it came out in 2016 just because I'm in a different country! Below is how Cath Kidston introduced her Garden Gnome collection!
Our SS16 collection celebrates beautiful British gardens in all their glory…and what’s a British garden without a cheeky Garden Gnome or two?! These friendly little fellows bring a sense of fun to the collection and inspired our bestselling Garden Gnomes print, plus a whole gang of gnome pieces that are guaranteed to brighten up your day. But how did these funny little statues become a feature of gardens up and down the land in the first place? Read on to find out…
Garden statues have been popular in Europe for hundreds of years, but gnome-shaped ones originated in 19th century Germany, where they were discovered by English aristocrat Sir Charles Isham. Sir Charles was a keen and influential gardener and decided that Garden Gnomes would be the perfect finishing touch for his garden rockery. He brought several home to Northamptonshire with him, starting the trend for collecting and displaying Garden Gnomes in British gardens. The rockery – and even one of Sir Charles’ original gnomes – still exist at Lampton Hall today.
Garden Gnomes aren’t just cute and colourful garden statues – they’re mythical figures said to protect the gardens they live in by warding off evil spirits. They also great friends to the green-fingered; coming to life to help with the gardening at night, which is why they’re often shown carrying tools. Ours have wheelbarrows and lanterns as well as traditional pointy red hats, colourful clothing and snowy white beards.
Our Garden Gnomes print hasn’t failed to make us smile this season and it seems you love it too – it’s flying off the shelves! Snap up our playful Garden Gnomes dress before it sells out – matching carry all bag optional. We can’t confirm if the stories about gnomes making effective guards are true, but it’s worth seeing if the Garden Gnomes on our apron, tea towels and mug help stand guard over the biscuit tin in your kitchen!
designing some novelty gnome-shaped products too – we’ll definitely be adding the salt and pepper shakers and kitchen timer to our collection. A very clever lady called Pat also knitted some amazing gnome samples for us, and we’re thrilled to have a tea cosy and door stop inspired by her original creations available for you to buy, plus some fun felt haberdashery Garden Gnomes – watch them get crafty in our sewing room below!
Garden Gnome fans will have heard about “gnoming”, and for the next three weeks we’re encouraging you to try it out too by taking our very own gnome, Gnorris, on an adventure and sharing your snaps with us! Find out how to take part and be in with a chance of winning a very special prize – we’ll even provide the gnomes!
Please please please bring this collection back Cath Kidston!!!
