Grinning Man Birthday Calendar (2023)

Something I started in 2020 to send other Grinning Stans (or Grinners or Grinlets or whatever you prefer) as well as fans of L'homme Qui Rit and The Man Who Laughs warm wishes on their birthday. Cause I'd like to think we're all friends.

Começou na noite desta sexta-feira (29), em Balneário Camboriú, uma grande operação de segurança realizada pela Guarda Municipal que deve se estender para os próximos dias. Três barreiras itinerantes de segurança  foram montadas em pontos estratégicos da cidade - cada barreira com cerca de uma hora de duração. Com apoio do K9/GMBC (cão policial) e demais guarnições, o objetivo é inibir o tráfico de drogas e furtos na cidade. Na noite de sexta-feira as barreiras foram montadas na  Avenida Martin Luther, próximo à Prefeitura Municipal; na Avenida do Estado, em frente ao PIT; e ainda na Rua Corupá com a Quinta Avenida. Conforme relatório da GM, foram feitas 76 abordagens durante as três horas de operação noturna. Operação ostensiva segue no fim de semana No sábado (30), durante o dia, a operação continua em vários pontos estratégicos da cidade. As barreiras terão horários e locais alternados, para que em toda a cidade tenha a presença da Guarda Municipal. As ações  ocorrerão no Centro e nos bairros, bem como nos pontos que são tidos como rota de fuga dos marginais. Na faixa de areia, na Avenida Atlântica, entre às 20h até meia-noite, haverá a presença de dois quadriciclos, realizando patrulhamento preventivo, com foco na prevenção de pequenos furtos e uso de entorpecentes. Será intensificado ainda o patrulhamento a pé e de viaturas na Praia Central. Para o subcomandante da Guarda Municipal, Luis Arlindo Borges, a operação  trará reflexo imediato na segurança das pessoas. "O reforço nas ações de segurança gera prevenção,  traz um resultado muito importante, pois de uma forma geral reduz os índices de criminalidade e melhora a convivência social, tornando nossa cidade muito mais segura”, enfatizou. Ações no Fortaleza Desde a terça-feira (26), a Guarda Municipal montou barreira de segurança e prevenção também na comunidade Fortaleza. Além da fiscalização de rotina, com abordagem de veículos, os guardas verificam a entrada irregular de caminhões que transportam material de construção, evitando assim que edificações irregulares sejam feitas no local.

Desde o começo do mês de março, o Grupo de Proteção às Mulheres (GPM) da Guarda Municipal de Balneário Camboriú (GMBC) tem atuado para fortalecer o apoio à rede de proteção às mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica. O grupo mantém uma aproximação ativa nos trabalhos realizando rondas constantes aos bairros de Balneário Camboriú. Prestes a completar três meses de funcionamento, o GPM já atendeu diversas ocorrências. O grupo atende, em média, quatro ocorrências por dia. Além disto, desde o período de criação, 58 mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica, que possuem medida protetiva, têm sido acompanhadas continuamente pelo grupo. Foi registrado apenas um caso onde o autor descumpriu a medida e foi preso em flagrante pela Guarda Municipal de forma rápida, logo após a vítima entrar em contato com as integrantes do grupo. Nas ocorrências geradas os números são: dois acompanhamentos para retirada de pertences das vítimas, designado pelo poder judiciário; 23 encaminhamentos psicológicos; sete encaminhamentos sociais; seis encaminhamentos jurídicos e três prisões de agressores. De acordo com a inspetora da Guarda Municipal, Tássia Bruna Carvalho, a criação do grupo surtiu resultado positivo nesses primeiros meses de atuação. “Nós acolhemos as vítimas e dependendo o motivo, encaminhamos para atendimentos psicológicos, assistência social e assessoria jurídica. Tudo isso para fortalecermos ainda mais essa rede constituída em nosso município, pois o acolhimento ofertado pelo grupo tem contribuído para que as vítimas tenham coragem e confiança para quebrar o ciclo de violência. A criação desse grupo é um recado para todas as mulheres: que elas não estão sozinhas,” conclui. As mulheres podem pedir auxílio através do número 153, e ainda diretamente pelo Grupo de Proteção à Mulher (47) 9982-2275, onde as guardas do GPM se deslocam imediatamente e prestam o apoio que for necessário à vítima – os encaminhamentos variam conforme a situação.

Was it Dr. Francomano? That’s who I see, and she’s at GMBC in Towson. I do recommend seeing her if you can. She’s amazing and the info she gave me at my first appointment about my diagnosis is, I honestly believe, more correct and thorough than any other geneticist in the country could have given me. She also is really good at picking out whether odd problems are EDS related or not, and asking her colleagues for advice when she knows it’s EDS but she also knows referring EDS patients to local specialists may not be productive. She’s also of course good at knowing the EDS protocols for major symptom management, but she’s not the only doctor I trust for that one. 

But her office staff is absolutely terrible.
