[Art Fight] Our Delta Green party's called Team Kill 9 or Team K9 for short, which was intentional, so of course I'm gonna draw the team of mentally ill and/or traumatised agents as cute, sweet dogs as an Art Fight mass attack :)
Here's the team and the players!
Ophelia Liu belongs to @katastrofish
Amaia Bella Muerte belongs to @daruqin (perra is dog in Spanish)
Hirakawa Yona belongs to @inkysatell
Yamasaki Tatsushiro belongs to @mintrhine (shippo is tail in Japanese)
Marianne Faucher belongs to our GM, @theroyalzealot ([la] paluche is paw in French)
And Gavrill Vorobyev is my PC!
Here's another drawing of the gang as humans (without Marianne, our case officer/therapist).

Dogmatic Dungeon Master
The last four weeks of my gaming time were consumed by Dragon's Dogma 2, an extravagana that's something like experiencing a wild D&D campaign that keeps going off the rails over and over again. (I'm pretty sure Capcom would be pleased with this comparison, seeing that they released promo art heavily based on AD&D's classic Red Box.)
DD2 has been a delight to devote 100+ hours to, and I find myself wishing I'd bought its predecessor ages ago, especially during those Steam sales where it sold for ridiculous prices like three or four dollars. I never did because I thought it looked sort of generic. Joke's on me! To be fair, this second one could also be described as looking generic upon first glance (though Capcom's RE Engine is certainly proving that it's got legs since Resident Evil 7), but I feel like that was an intentional decision. The goal here was clearly to create something with the trappings of the iconic Western fantasy setting (plus the inclusion of cat people, AKA Beastren) to draw players in and get 'em comfortable before presenting them with one of the most wacky open worlds in recent memory.
How's it wacky? Well, DD2 has a billion different systems under the hood, all colliding with each other. There are the systems that dictate the schedules of NPCs, who you can find wandering roads and getting into fights with enemies. Said enemies have their own systems, and on more than one occasion when I was fighting one of the game's huge bosses (drakes, golems, minotaurs, ogres and the like), that fight spilled over into the territory of another boss, who proceeded to attack both me and the first boss. A kaiju rumble ensued as the systems of both bosses collided with each other, and sometimes this rumble veered too close to the borders of a settlement, attracting the attention of pawns, which are basically the sidekicks assisting the game's main character, the Arisen.
If you're playing online, pawns created by other players can randomly appear in your game, and there were many special moments when I ran into a bizarrely off-proportion thief with the incredible name "Frog Nasty" and a half-naked mage dubbed "Lucy Liu." On one such occasion, Frog and Lucy joined my ever-evolving kaiju battle, and the incredible chaos continued until a griffin just happened to swoop down from the sky to snatch me up in its arms. As I went in the sky, I proceeded to climb atop that griffin’s head and smacked it silly with my mace until it dropped me into the ocean where I was devoured by Brine, AKA DD2’s in-world explanation for why you can’t just swim everywhere.
My description of this incident is no exaggeration. Unscripted mischief of this ilk happens every five minutes in this game, and it's the result of all those systems smashing into each other with delicious gusto. That said, not all of the systems work as well as they should, and some are half-baked. For instance, there's a romance/affinity system that's a carryover from the first Dragon's Dogma. The affinity levels of characters are never truly explained, and you can unexpectedly cause random people to fall in love with you by giving them the right gifts again and again, or completing their sidequests at the expense of others. This means that the Vernworth tavern keeper, who plays no important role at all, can suddenly show up in the final cutscene as your true heart's desire, in the clutches of your mortal enemy. I guess even when DD2's systems are half-baked, they still yield entertaining results.
As someone who runs a lot of tabletop RPGs (but often doesn't get the chance to act as a player), Dragon's Dogma 2 truly reminds me of a dedicated Game Master who doesn't mind when players test limits. This is a GM who clearly loves madcap battles full of unexpected twists that can take up an entire gaming session, as well as expansive side quests with more flavor than anything else in the campaign. The main story is not said Game Master's preference, which serves as a handy explanation on why you can find many Reddit threads decrying DD2's plot as kinda blah.
I get these complaints. The game's main missions are not terribly long - 40 or so hours, probably - and the clear meat of DD2 is in the exploration and combat. This isn't to say that the story's total rubbish, as it does have poignant moments in its cyclical, meta take on an Arisen who rises up every couple of years to complete a destiny of fighting the titular dragon. There's a secret endgame that also delves even farther into the tabletop RPG comparisons, giving you the chance to "defy the Dungeon Master," if you will, sending the campaign even further off the rails as you potentially see what happens when the GM just has no shits left to give and decides to turn the world into an apocalypse.
All of this makes DD2 probably one of my favorite open world games. I've been thinking a lot about what sort of open worlds attract me, since I'm a firm believer that more often than not, video games don't need to go all massive. (Give me a small-scale, well-developed area over a massive map filled with junky quest markers.) That said, I've noticed that I like open worlds that buck the Ubisoft-style trend of having busywork for really good writing (The Witcher 3 comes to mind) or simply invest in their mechanics to the point that everything fills up like a wonderful sandbox, with lots of bits and bobs to play with (that would be The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild).
Dragon's Dogma 2 is definitely more on the kooky sandbox side of things, with its oversized monsters at every turn and wonderous pawn shenanigans. The true appeal of this game, however, lies in the little stories that you create with your main pawn and other pawns along the trail. There's something special in the relationship you forge with these AI allies, who aren't real in the slightest, but bring forth that feeling of being a Game Master yourself as you corral them into taking down a drake. I was downright emotional when I said farewell to my main pawn at the end of the game (okay, the fact that I designed her to look like my wife probably helped, but still).
So here's to Dragon's Dogma 2, a wild piece of entertainment commandeered by a Game Master who clearly loves the journey more than the destination. Here's to those moments when you and your loyal pawns are facing down an ogre in its lair, or just barely survive a golem's laser beam after a series of hobgoblins stunlocked you into low health over and over again. Here's to sitting by a campfire, enjoying an unpredictable open world, and realizing the grand truth that comes with all tabletop RPGs - that the unscripted moments truly are the best part of the adventure.

So I have finally played my first Gundam video game and that happened to be SD Gundam Battle Alliance and I am really glad it was because playing this game give me the realization that there are good Gundam video games out there.
This game is really good fun. The combat is fun and fast paced, as it should be. There is a wealth different mobile suits from a lot of the different anime. I am going to list every mobile suit in the game because I can.
RX-78-2 Gundam, Guncannon, Guntank, GM, Zaku II Type F, Dom, Char’s Z’Gok & Char’s Gelgoog.
Gundam Ground Type, Gundam Ez8 & Gouf Custom.
Gundam Alex, GM Sniper II & Kampfer.
Full Armor Thunderbolt Gundam, Psycho Zaku & Gundam GP03S Stamen.
Zeta Gundam, Hyaku Shiki, Qubeley & The-O.
ZZ Gundam & Full Armor ZZ Gundam.
Nu Gundam, Sazabi & Hi-Nu Gundam.
Unicorn Gundam, Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, Banshee, Banshee Norn, Kshatriya, Sinanju & Narrative Gundam C-Packs.
Gundam F91, Crossbone Gundam X1, Crossbone Gundam X2 & V2 Assault Buster Gundam.
Turn A Gundam, Turn X, Burning Gundam, Master Gundam, Wing Gundam Zero & Gundam Epyon.
Gundam Double X, Freedom Gundam, Justice Gundam Providence Gundam & Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina.
Destiny Gundam, Strike Freedom Gundam, Infinite Justice Gundam, Legend Gundam, Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai & Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second Revise.
00 Raiser, Cherudim Gundam. Arios Gundam, Seravee Gundam, Gundam Exia Repair II, Arche Gundam, Reborns Gundam, 0 Gundam (Type A.C.D) & 00 QAN[T}.
Gundam AGE-FX, G-Self (Perfect Pack), Gundam Barbatos (6th Form), Gundam Barbatos Lupus, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City, Gundam Bael, Gundam Kimaris Vidar & Reginlaze Julia (Final Battle)
Musha Gundam, Knight Gundam, Command Gundam, Gundam Latreia, Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam, Cao Cao Wing Gundam, Sun Jian Gundam Astray & Phoenix Gundam.
So, yeah, there are a lot of mobile suit to play and collect in this game. Now, personally, I find that can be the one downside to this game as well. See, once you do the main story and the DLC stories, there isn’t much left to do. The only thing you really can do is replay story missions as chaos missions and yeah it’s just going after blueprints to mobile suit you may have some but not all of or just not have yet. Some people may find that fun but I personally have already become bored of it. But that is really the only negative thing I have for this game. I definitely recommend giving this a play.

Tagged by @twilightarc-gm ! Thanks for the tag and thanks for sending me those zhiji links ❤️
1) three ships:
I’m absolutely obsessed with Wei Wuxian x Jiang Cheng (mdzs)
Very very much into Liu Qingge x Luo Binghe x Shen Qingqiu (svsss)
Zhancheng (mdzs) ❤️❤️❤️
2) First Ship:
Omg okay so I was fixated on Mass Effect for about a year and the first serious ship I really thought about was between Thane Krios and Jane Shepherd! I really enjoyed Thane and how he could fall in love with Jane even after losing his first love in such a horrible way- he’s such a complicated man and I feel like shepherd can understand his darkness and also his light like few can. Thane also brings out the best in shep, he shows her what it means to live life to the fullest, to enjoy love even though they don’t have much time. It’s a very bittersweet pair.
3) Last Song Listened to:
Reflection from Mulan (OG)
As a Jc Stan do I even have to say it.
4) Last Movie Watched:
The Old Guard- that movie was delicious in its concept of immorality and how someone/others deal with it. Very beautiful romance between the two men and also just in general a beautiful platonic bond. Trust and broken trust, and maybe even forgiveness. ALSO THE BAD ASSARY AND THE FIGHTING WAS SO GOOD.
5) Currently Watching: Nothing 🥲 I’m not really into shows or movies right now.
6) Currently reading:
Every jc fanfic in existence 😭😭😭 but nah 2ha, I’m not halfway but I’ve been reading it for 2 months or something 💀💀💀 I got distracted-
7) currently eating: Buffalo chicken tenders 🙏
8) currently craving: blueberry Mountain Dew 🤦🤦🤦🤦
This was a lot of fun, I hope you had fun reading ^_^

Michigan becoming a hub for artificial intelligence inventions
Michigan has the largest number of artificial intelligence and machine learning patents issued in the Midwest since 2010 with the Detroit area ranking among the top nine regions for innovation across the country, according to a new report. The Detroit-Warren-Dearborn metropolitan area had 896 AI patents issued, making it the ninth-most innovative U.S. metro, according to CommercialCafe, a commercial real estate Internet listing service. While Silicon Valley in California far surpasses any other metro area for AI patents, metro Detroit held its own on the list largely because of the presence of the automotive industry and related suppliers, in addition to the growing startup network in Detroit, the report said. "Because the U.S. is home to several global leaders in both automotive and key automation technologies, markets like the Detroit metro area are intriguing to both investors and innovators worldwide," the October report said. "With nearly 900 AI and ML patents at the close of 2022, the Detroit MSA ranked as the ninth-most innovative metro in the U.S. — and continues to show that the Motor City inventive spirit remains strong." The companies topping the list of AI/ML patents were Ford Global Technologies with 321 patents, GM Global Technology Operations with 296 and Magna Electronics with 53 patents issued. Specifically, CommercialCafe cited the partnership between Google and Ford Motor Co. to convert the 105-year-old Michigan Central train station and surrounding neighborhood into the Michigan Central Innovation District as a hub for mobility and entrepreneurship. As part of the mobility-focused, smart city project, Google agreed to provide cloud technology, as well as work force development training to high school students and job seekers in the Detroit area, the report said. In addition to Ford, General Motors and Stellantis have established mobility and software engineering projects in Michigan in recent years, bringing Silicon Valley closer to home, it said. Ford could not be reached for comment. A GM spokesperson said the company was unable to comment on patent filings or their intended use "due to the competitive nature of the space." A growing startup center Alan Taub, director of the University of Michigan's Michigan Materials Research Institute, said an increased interest in startups is also leading to a more competitive mobility market, which is why Michigan is seeing more AI patents. "The technology revolutions of connected vehicles, self-driving vehicles and electric vehicles are moving at an unprecedented rate for the industry," Taub said. "And with the introduction of new startups, all of a sudden intellectual property moved from sort of the bare minimum to a major part of the strategy of companies. … I think if you just do a historical look at the number of patents around mobility, it has skyrocketed, because they're much more valuable, and it's a much more hyper-competitive space." HostingAdvice.com, a web-hosting information site, recently ranked Detroit as one of the top 13 cities drawing startups away from Silicon Valley. Detroit ranked No. 6 on the list, citing the city's economic resiliency after the 2008 financial crisis and the city's business-friendly tax environment. In the 2022 Global Startup Ecosystem Report by Startup Genome, an innovation policy advisory and research firm based in San Francisco, Detroit was ranked the No. 1 city in the U.S. for emerging startup ecosystems. Henry Liu, an engineering professor and director of Mcity, UM's mobility testing facility, said AI is becoming an essential part of autonomous vehicles. "AI is going to transform every aspect of mobility, not only just the vehicle, but the infrastructure, the manufacturing of the vehicles, and in service to people," Liu said. A typical use of AI in mobility is in self-driving vehicles. Liu used the example of a Tesla, which has eight cameras and 12 sensors that feed information about the traffic, pedestrians and other vehicles to the control system. In the past, the development of…

Love for languages
If you are like me who just loves how amazing languages are and how each one has got some very interesting proverbs and idioms, you would love this new discovery of mine.
I was watching the last finale episode of Hot Stove League, and there was a scene where GM Baek goes to meet the potential new buyer of the team. The guy is a tough cookie and does not give in any of the ‘reasons’ to buy the team. He stays reluctant and ultimately asks for something which was expected but not desirable from GM Baek’s perspective. He throws in his one more card to win the investor over and then he says this:
“Do you have the Silk Pouch of Zhuge Liang or something?”
That was the moment, I paused my drama and Googled the phrase. It has got an amazing story behind it. Some 1800 years old. And you can learn about the same here:
(It is a copy-paste from a website, only for your easy read. The website is here, if you want to explore it.)
WHEN consulting someone for a solution to an urgent problem, Chinese tend to ask, "Do you have any jin3 nang2 miao4 ji4?" The phrase translates literally: "Do you have any brilliant ploys in a brocade pouch?" The "brocade pouch" here does not refer to any ordinary bag made of brocade or one that could be purchased in a silk store. It was specially made nearly 1,800 years ago by Zhuge Liang, one of China's greatest strategists. During the Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-280), Zhuge was the adviser to Liu Bei, ruler of the Kingdom of Shu Han. After Liu seized the strategic town of Jingzhou from the rival Kingdom of Wu, the Wu ruler sent an envoy to ask Liu to return the town. But, the mission failed and the envoy returned with an empty IOU. The Wu ruler, Sun Quan, felt insulted and decided to entice the newly widowed Liu into his territory by offering him marriage to his younger sister. Sun intended to hold Liu hostage and force him to cede Jingzhou. Seeing the invitation, Liu hesitated, fearing Sun's marriage offer was a mere trap. But Zhuge came to congratulate him. "Your Highness, you don't have to worry. I will ask General Zhao Yun to escort you to Wu and I will give him a brocade pouch containing instructions on how to cope with any possible emergencies." After arriving in Wu, General Zhao, following the hidden instructions, first sent people out to spread the news about the marriage. When the royal union had become the talk of the town, the Wu ruler felt he had no choice but to permit his sister to marry Liu. But Sun was not ready to give up. He ordered his aides to use fine wines, beautiful women and local entertainment to retain Liu as long as possible. Again, following instructions in the brocade pouch, General Zhao sounded a false alarm to Liu by saying that troops from another kingdom, Wei, were about to attack the seized town. Liu then had the excuse to leave Wu with his new bride. When Sun sent his men to stop Liu and his entourage from going home, General Zhao asked the bride to deal with the situation. Naturally, no officers under Sun dared to offend the bride since she was the sister of their ruler. This was also a ploy outlined by Zhuge in advance. Finally, Liu returned to his kingdom with a beautiful wife and without having to yield the town of Jingzhou. Today, this idiom often comes to mind when one looks for ways to deal with a sticky situation. After all, is there anyone who does not wish to have a brocade pouch with solutions to problems such as the one offered by Zhuge about 1,800 years ago?
