thinking about how significantly kaijo changed kise, the belonging and strength and happiness and meaning he found there. thinking about how out of everyone in the teiko gang, kise's relationship with his team hit him the hardest and he's holding onto it the tightest. and im sure a lot of that is because of kise's character; the loneliness that's always followed him, how at his core he really just wants connection, how he's so used to being a little too much for his friends and somehow not enough, so used to being the annoying one and the one chasing, chasing, chasing. and then he meets kaijo and they've seen him be rude and condescending and still they believe in and trust him and are kind to him, and they're the first ppl to have such endless and sincere and mutual friendship for him, and he is safe to be so himself with them. just all the times kise's love for kaijo and how much it's affected him is shown or explicitly said is just. yeah. thinking about how kaijo saved kise, how devotedly he loves that team and how much it loves him back.
