summary: you usually spend time with gloria when cam goes over to brandons, but today has just been a really long day pairing: cameron damasky x reader w/c: warnings: sad ! emotional ! established relationship ! notes: i don't like to involve kids in my stories, so gloria and brandons children are not mentioned in the story !

you could hear cameron from the living room.

this is mostly how you and gloria spent your time, sitting on the couch with either wine or coffee, depending on the mood, talking through your weeks and debating on whether or not one of the boys would come out covered in a different substance.

only, today had been a lot.

there wasn't anything specific that had caused you to feel so overwhelmed, you'd simply woken up and not had enough energy to push yourself through the day. you dragged yourself out of bed, slipped in the shower and had to rewash your washing after leaving it for too long.

it had been a long enough day that you just wanted for cam to scoop you up and stop you from thinking all of those horrible thoughts. only, you'd completely forgotten that the two of you would be heading over to the farris' house for the boys to record.

so, now you sat, too caught up in the top of your wine glass to notice gloria speaking, or even to respond with anything more than a 'mmhm,' or 'yep.'

you didn't notice when she got up, walked into the hallways and dissapeared.

you were too caught up in the swirl of your drink to notice cameron peaking out of the recording room, frowning at your quiet disposition.

you only looked up when the couch dipped behind you and arms snuck around your waist, tugging you back into the taller mans chest.

"hey, you need to talk?" you wanted to respond, shake your head and tell him to go back to recording with brandon, but instead, you just let your head fall back onto his shoulder, turning around in his hold and settling yourself in his lap.

he wrapped his arms around your waist, running a hand over your back and placing a light kiss on the top of your head.

you didn't feel perfect, but cameron definitely helped.
