I only have 4 so far (minus a few minor undesigned ones) but I love them dearly.

This is my main, Gliaster; a necromancer with a neverending thirst for necromantic knowledge, who found it (and more) in their lover and later husband, Joko himself. I like to be stuck in history and pretend LWS4 didn't happen for both of my and Gliaster's sake :')

Next up, someone who's kinda my second main, in asura sense!

Eeyyaah is a solo musician who makes metal music under several pseudonyms (and several subgenres). Yes, he CAN play all the instruments alone and WILL tell you your music taste sucks.

Then here's my Awakened Inquest girl, Rikka!

I have nothing special of her yet; she's just another one of them Inquest fellas who was at the wrong place in the wrong time during LWS4; but she "survived"! Now conducting unethical pestilence research on innocent beings elsewhere...

And finally, Ebokk. Once a mere Fractal explorer, he fell in love with the Mists and has been spending all his time in there, which eventually earned him the title of Fractal God. But with all those dubious energies of the Mists surrounding him, he noticed some... changes. Chaotic magic started to consume his appearance (hence the wings); but how long till it reaches his mind?

I'm currently sick and in a not so great mental state, so please show me your asura characters.

It's 2023 and I'm still using the same template now 7 years in a row! Yippeee!

This year I decided to ramble about each artwork presented so uh. Storytime! Under the cut.

(Also usual reminder that now I have a GW2 side blog so that's where I'll upload GW2 artworks from now on -> @glitchgw2 (except the zine piece because I entered the zine with this blog))

January: I was going through a bit of an artblock, most of the things I drew this month were traced. One of the only things not traced was this Anassy! "Ah, etto... bleh!" I said after tracing the 5th drawing I saw on the internet.

February: a commission! Long overdue, but I finally finished it. Sylvaries are always tough to render. >.< The other things I drew this month were art party doodles and personal stuff.

March: one of the two months where the featured piece is the only thing I "finished" that month. And last minute, too! Made for trans visibility day which was on the very last day of March.

April: due to several things, Tyria Pride 2022's art commission giveaways got delayed to 2023. This was my piece for the person I was assigned to! ^_^ This was fun, I found out some new ways to render sylvari hair...

May: I vividly remember seeing a Diavolo art with this same reference and I was like hey. I could do this too but with Lucien. How haven't I done this before. P.S.: he's actually nothing like Bateman but it's a sick cover anyway lol. Mmm knife...

June: it was a sick (as in like epic) month for me. I reworked Dawn and Incendere (my Ghost OC), welcomed my unhinged self and drew a lot of nsfw. But not good nor holy enough to share. :P But it was a nice practice anyway. I chose one drawing of Dawn because out of everything I drew it looks the most "clean" and finished.

July: I remembered My Life as a Teenage Robot as I do tri-monthly and almost made an AU for Lucien. Almost. So instead I just made whatever this is. This was one of the most fun pieces I've ever did, I finally feel comfortable lining in CSP and just in general this was super shapey and smooth to work on. <3

August: Tyria Pride giveaway commission but this time, in time! I got to work on a lovely charr which I don't do often! My other choices would have been a cropped nsfw commission but I lowkey like this one better.

September: the other month where I didn't draw anything but this. Had a banger idea for Gliaster's future which is them becoming a lich but also being corrupted by malignant powers so they're now even more evil and also driven by vengeance towards the Commander and Aurene. Tried to come up with a design for them, alas this piece. It's... very in progress. But I like said progress so far.

October: the opportunity for an art related full-time job came up which meant I had to up my portfolio and draw some realistic/semi-realistic studies. I was surprised by myself lmao but ngl it was also a big pain in the ass. Art is suffering. <3

November: the continuation of October but now with an original piece! Felt like drawing one of my best friend's GW2 characters. <3 Haven't uploaded this one yet as I might rework the background sometime.

December: and finally, my piece for Commander Of Your Heart GW2 zine! Which wasn't actually restricted to only Commander characters, but any other OCs/player characters too, so of course I chose Gliaster. :D And we can apparently show teasers, so I can include this little bit! But what is Gliaster up to? Find out in February, for free!

Eeyyaah: a metalhead asura :D He's a one man band who has 29324 different projects and yes they are all different subgenres of metal and yes he plays all the instruments. Sadly he's insufferable about his superior music taste and will gatekeep you. :(

Tiborc "Tib" Alestorm: A charr playing guitars (idk if lead or rythm yet lol) and vocals in an almost all-charr power metal band! They sing about the Commander and the elder dragons and sometimes just historical events.

Xanzz: The sole sylvari member of Tib's band; she's the drummer! ^_^

Gwess Ripmane: my other charr musician, she also plays guitar but in a different band (punk). And yet, she often tours with Tib's band because they're friends and don't give a shit about their different genres. <3 P.S.: she makes her own guitars. :D

I don't have more OCs for the bands yet but I will. One day. Maybe.

New lore for Nassi! After a near miracle of escaping the Inquest lab where her death was guaranteed and wandering for a long, long time, she came across the Norn and fell in love with them. :) Hunts? Moots? Building your own legend? That's so her! It's like she wasn't only born in the wrong body, but wrong culture too... but worry not, the Norn happily welcomed her as their own, as she prove her strength is indeed worthy. <3

Too bad the Inquest are still looking for her... but Nassi has her own secrets too, that could turn any fight to her favor. She can actually shapeshift into her own "spirit form" (a giant frog like creature) thanks to the genetic mutation experiments the Inquest did on her. <3 Oh how the tables turn...

Meet Autopsist Luccem (Lucc for short)

An Inquest "scientist" who's tasked to perform autopsies on deceased fellow Inquest members, experiments (asura only), or asura brought to him from elsewhere by the Inquest to determine their cause of death or...just because! They don't even need to be dead; but if they get in Lucc's hands, their demise is guaranteed. Low scum are often sent to him to be dealt with, to get rid of, be tortured, or have their brain removed for proprietary knowledge. He is quite renown for his enthusiasm about his job, and so people hope they never get sent to him for anything.

How did he get into the Inquest?

After one too many arrests, the Inquest felt like a warm welcome, where his genius and love for unethical cadaver handling wasn't to be punished.

Can he use magic? Does he fight?

He's rather a science guy. He can name every bone in your body but can't conjure fires or anything. He can use a gun though. And he also has a bonesaw. But still, he prefers to rely on defense golems and security systems. Outsmart your enemies and always be two steps ahead of them, you know.

What does he do in his free time?

He likes to play the latest version of digital ecto-gambling on his datapad.

More trivia:

No one knows for sure where his lab is and one can only guess; any and all entry is only available through asura gates placed in different Inquest headquarters. This is also the method he gets bodies transferred to him.

He refuses to work with other asura. He has assistant golems in his lab (and well, technically krewe) exclusively.

He handles a lot of bodies contaminated with chaos magic, hence his yellow pupils.

He's a fan of my goth asura band, Mortis Twins.

He speaks with a slight French accent for some reason.

Eeyyaah is more proud of being disabled than of being queer, so here he is, celebrating disability pride month!

He's visually impaired. Low vision, even. Blind if I'm really brave. Severely blurred vision and light sensitivity, but been thinking of giving him nystagmus and problems with depth perception as well, so basically ocular albinism. One thing's for sure, you won't see him without his visual aid golem and tinted glasses outside. (...You won't see him outside much anyway, he prefers to stay inside, working on music. 🤘)

P.S.: He might look uninterested/annoyed/unhappy but don't fret, he is very happy.

Meet the Mortis Twins!

Goth musicians and actual twins Liv and Rigg Mortis are fans of echoed snares and synths, as well as the macabre, so they formed a duo to spread the gothic sounds to a wider Tyria.

Drew them with different outfits to share the diversity of their looks and eras. ^_^

Ignis (it/its), a will o' the wisp who turned into a sylvari after absorbing the late Mordremoth's magic. It resides in Dragon's Stand and is very dangerous and evil. <3

And my newest magnum opus, Eeyyaah (he/him), a metalhead asura! \m/ He makes various subgenres of metal music but is so obnoxious about it, barely anyone can stand him. But his music fucks, I can tell you that much. In-game he walks around with the latest version of Guitar Pro but as a mech. 🎸

Meet Paille (ze/hir), an asura mesmer who leads a cult disguised as a human named Salma.

Seeing an opportunity in Joko's demise, ze exploited vulnerable people and started a cult promising the god-king's return. But in actuality, ze's just studying the nature of bookah human brainwash and manipulation. How far can ze go and bend the minds of humans? Well... only cruel ways to find out. Ritualistic sacrifices and starvation deaths are daily occurrings in hir cult.

(The colors of hir clothes are WIP. Can't wait to make hir in gameeee. 😩)

Get you a wife (genderless) who reads about you in a book and suddenly appears in your life and projects beams into your mind that makes you marry them. <3

Meet Gliaster and Joko! <3

Gliaster did indeed first learn about Joko in a book after they graduated college and set out to seek the world for more knowledge about necromancy because they didn’t like the way asura taught it.

Fastforward, Gliaster enters Vabbi and immediately gets imprisoned (the people mustn’t know there’s more to the world, can they). Behind bars they spend a little time before Joko goes to see them in person because he’s curious and it’s love at first sight. For Gliaster at least. Joko is a bit shook about how an asura could eat an entire human skeleton to clench their hunger to care about his emotions- But he’s impressed by their eerie vibe and briefly presented necromancy skills and is in a good mood, so he spares them. And so into the Forbidden Vault Gliaster goes-

They start off as a harem servant maid outfit go brrrr but quickly wins over the lich’s heart even more with their rizz, and so Gliaster quickly finds themself by Joko’s side as his fwb necromancy pupil. But it quickly evolves from here. Mmm student x teacher trope...

IDK Gliaster just has a personality that's full of assertion and charm which gets them what they want and I guess Joko likes that or whatever. :D I just like my fav character and my blorbo standing next to each other with a heart above them, I've never thought I'd get this far-

Anyway they officially get together and eventually marry and Gliaster gets to be a specially treated little meow meow mary sue while also helping Joko spread propaganda and prosecute Sunspears and be his evil little gremlin, planning war crimes together with him. <3

This lasts for 10 years until the Commander and Aurene happens and not only Joko dies but a part of Gliaster too. They spend another 10 years just mourning him and writing books about him to preserve his memory and knowledge. They then try to become a lich too but the tome they used for that corrupts them and their morals switch 180 so while before they thought revenge against the commander was stupid, now they’re hellbent on it. They do a little destruction here and there but eventually somehow end up in a timeloop/fractal where they get to live those 10 years with Joko eternally; that’s why I depict them in their Joko era always. :D
