Glinda: I killed her sister in an attempt to get to her so I could kill her and in that process also got my fiancé killed AFAIK, then I gave her one family heirloom to this random girl, the abused boyfriend of her dead sister, the lion she saved in college, and some dude who looks suspiciously like the fiancé I got killed, and I told them all to murder her

Just a random thought about Wicked and Shipping

If Fiyero likes both Elphaba and Glinda, and Elphaba and Glinda like each other, and both of them like Fiyero, why don’t the shippers just put aside their differences and have all three of them date?

The real love triangle was Elphaba choosing between Glinda & Fiyero (posted from my Reddit)

In the Maguire books, Glinda apparently says she doesn't like Fiyero as a suitor. Also, Maguire allegedly said that romantic subtext with her and Elphaba was intentional (which makes sense considering that he also seems to have said almost everyone is bisexual).

In the musical, I can't think of any reason Glinda & Fiyero like each other than they're both popular & attractive. It really shouldn't have lasted long enough for Morrible to announce they're engaged (without their consent) - especially since Fiyero hasn't been the same since the cub incident with Elphaba that made Glinda attracted in the first place.

The story would be more compelling if it was Elphaba being conflicted over genuinely liking both Glinda and Fiyero, or starts off liking Glinda and then moving on to Fiyero (as they did become best friends before meeting him). Especially since her reasoning for choosing Fiyero over Glinda being that Glinda won't give up her reputation in Oz to support her while Fiyero does.

Either way, I think in Act 2, Glinda's motivation fighting against Elphaba should have just been about protecting Dorothy and upholding her status as the Good Witch of the North/South (whichever; she was South in the Baum books).
