I noticed that Matt and Beth tend to (whether willingly or accidentally) create really well earned happy endings for their characters whereas Freddie and Will are really good at ending their characters on bittersweet, or even just straight up tragic notes in a way that feels incredibly fitting. If I had to put it succinctly I guess it'd be:

Matt and Beth's PCs and kin: The narrative feels inevitable but is excapable. You're out and you can heal.

Will's PCs and kin: The narrative is escapable, but not without changing you on a fundimental level. The choices you've made while escaping the narrative haunt you for life.

Freddie's PCs and kin: The narrative feels inevitable and is escapable, but it would require an incredible amount of introspection that this character simply isn't capable of.

After breakfast I wrapped a pile of presents for an upcoming birthday before unpacking a cooling stand I'd ordered for my PS5. In summer (which is approaching slowly) it can overheat after a hour on one of my favorite games so I'd like to do what I can to avoid the insides melting. I took the covers off to dust first and I've been meaning to do that for months yet it was pretty damn clean in there. I don't know if it's because it's in a slightly better spot now, or because my old cat is no longer walking past it, or because my new cat sheds less but I'm shocked. Of course it is possible I cleaned it in the last 6 months and forgot? Either way hopefully this will help it stay cool because there's a lot of games on my cyber Monday wishlist...

Sims wise it was all about the Fosters today. I think I played through three and a half sim days which yeah took me eight-ish hours? My brain needs me to pause 80% of the time I give a sim an instruction if there's more than one in the household so that's why it takes me longer to play. Basically for reasons we invited all other kids and their partners for a stay over and I just had to watch how they all interacted autonomously without me controlling them, it was fascinating. I also forgot to officially invite the dog Clover so we're going to pretend she's there.
