Time to show off those new rooms! First up: the nursery!
Man, all that pink. Right on cue for the Barbie movie premiere. You bet Rosalind was the one who picked the color scheme! 😆
This room was challenging to decorate, but in a fun way. I fell in love with the pink deer rug and built the entire nursery around it, even going as far as recoloring K8′s Mere Folly set to match it. Then I went on a cc-hunting spree for toys and other kid-related knick-knacks because the ‘Child’ section in my game was sorely lacking. Gotta fill all that space somehow! This kid's going to be spoiled rotten.
Bonus floorplan pic. I only now realized that I took it before I did my nursery recolors, but the layout hasn't changed so w/e, it's still accurate.

Non-member states of the United Nations, which are members of one or more specialized agencies, can apply for the status of Permanent Observer. The status of permanent observer is based purely on practice, and there are no provisions for it in the United Nations Charter. The practice dates from 1946, when the Secretary general accepted the designation of the Swiss Government as a Permanent Observer to the United Nations. Observers were subsequently put forward by certain States that later became United Nations Members. Permanent Observers have free access to most meetings and relevant documentation. Many regional and international organizations are also observers in the work and annual sessions of the General Assembly. Example; IGO, ASEAN, EU, League of Arab States, and many more.

Next up: Phillip's new bedroom! Which is more of a luxe apartment than a bedroom.
It has dedicated living, study, and sleeping areas and all the amenities a young 17 y/o lord could ask for, complete with a private nectar bar. The eagle-eyed among you might notice chalices from Tom's shop scattered around the bar area! ;) Of course, Phillip's beloved guitar is there, too, and he even moved his training dummy into his new quarters. Talk about bringing the outside in!
Floorplan pic for the curious. This was an odd-shaped space, but I think I managed to make the most of it.

A quick makeover later, and here's our birthday boy! If there was ever any doubt that he’s Feanor’s son, it's been completely shot out of the sky now. From his features and flowing hair down to the pointed ears, he is a little Feanor clone through and through! And a total cutiepie, too.😭❤
After the candles were blown and the cake was eaten, the guests were slowly starting to disperse. Dad Feanor and auntie Aruena stuck around, of course, but the former seemed too smitten with mom Rosalind to pay the little one much mind.
That was fine by Arwan - he was more keen on trying out the new toys he'd been gifted, anyway!

But talking lessons weren't the only surprise dad Feanor had in store for his little star. He briefly left the room, only to come back carrying a gift box as big as Arwan himself. A belated birthday present, perhaps?
Once unpacked, the box revealed a fully functional, toddler-sized saloon piano. It was hard to tell who was happier: Arwan for getting the bespoke instrument, or Feanor, whose dreams of his son becoming a musical prodigy were starting to materialize before his own eyes! Seeing the determination on Arwans's smol face as he tapped away at those keys made his heart overflow with pride!
There was no doubt about it: he was witnessing the birth of a virtuoso! 🎹🎶🎵

Welcome back to the Gladwyn household, where some big changes are happening!
To jog your memory: Rosalind is pregnant with Feanor's baby, and the two lovers have agreed to co-parent the kidlet even though they currently have no plans to tie the knot. The elves are over the Moon about the baby, but Rosalind... not so much. And to make matters worse for her, she's really not having the easiest time with this pregnancy. :< (She bumped a couple of times while I was doing some background work on their lot, meaning she's in her third trimester at the moment and huge as a whale as early as the start of the rotation! Poor girl! Can't be comfortable being that bloated! :<)
Phillip, meanwhile, is as happy as a clam at high tide. Since his old bedroom was repurposed for the nursery, he got a new, much bigger one. A long overdue move as far as he's concerned - he is a grown man, after all, and needs his own space so he can bring his girlfriend over
As for Selina, she's still performing her maidly duties with not much else happening in her life. Her and Phillip are still best chums tho, so at least she's got that going for her!

It was well past the witching hour when Tabitha abandoned the nursery in favor of the servants' quarters.
Selina was already there and waiting, with no small amount of curiosity, to finally meet the new governess. She’d of course heard the news (and was even directed to make a bed for the new hire), but hadn’t had the chance to bump into her during the day. She was quite pleasantly surprised to learn that her new colleague was the cute girl she knew from town!
The ladies chatted for a while to get to know each other better. A little reserved at first, Tabitha soon warmed up to her roommate; she only knew Selina on a superficial level, but found that her initial impressions of her as a decent young woman proved accurate. Selina showed her her new bed (that she'd even made herself - how thoughtful!), and after another round of chit-chat, both women agreed that it'd be best to call it a night. They had an early start tomorrow, and Tabitha especially needed to be well rested for her first official day on the job.

Here's one final scene before we wrap things up. A closing credits scene, if you will.
I feel like I've put most of the other Gladwyn members on the backburner in favor of Arwan, especially Phillip (whom we barely got to see unless he was interacting with the lil' one). So this was my last attempt to give him some due attention.
Phillip invited Annika over to give her a tour of his new quarters. But it seems she had other things on her mind than interior decor. Two smitten teenagers alone in a room with a king-sized bed - what could go wrong?
No, really. What? 💀

Every so often, the nursery's occupants would be graced with the presence of an important guest. Prince Feanor took a keen interest in his son's proper upbringing and made sure to check in on him whenever his timetable allowed for it.
He'd been told that Arwan was showing a talent for music, which pleased him greatly. He wanted to get his son started early in developing his musical gift (just as he'd been taught during his own youth!), but in order to see the plan through, certain preconditions needed to be met first. After all, there was no use in teaching a child to sing before they had mastered the art of speech.
And so Feanor took it upon himself to teach his little one proper articulation. Much to his delight, Arwan proved to be a natural: with his keen ear and affinity for music, he quickly picked up words and reproduce them with remarkable ease. Clever little boy that he was, he could talk like a parrot before dinner time had rolled around!
And not only was the language exercise fruitful, but it also served to strengthen the bond between father and son! Spending quality time together really goes a long way. 😊

Now that Arwan is a little older and starting to show his personality, it's time for a proper preview of his stats!
Arwan Moonfeather
- Species: Elf - Gender: Male - Age: Toddler - Zodiac: Aries - Aspiration: Grow Up - OTH: Music & Dance - Personality: Neat 4; Outgoing 8; Active 5; Playful 5; Nice 5
He got a pretty well-balanced personality overall, with a whopping 8 Outgoing points being his strongest trait. I wasn't joking when I said he was an extrovert! 😄

All dressed up in a golden silk gown, Rosalind looked radiant and ready to conquer the world. She was adding some finishing touches to the already flawless bar when the doorbell rang, signalling the arrival of the guests. Right on cue!
She hurried to the grand entrance to greet the visitors personally. To her delight, everyone she'd invited had shown up: Queen Aruena and Prince Feanor, who were as much at the heart of the party as the birthday boy himself, being his closest of kin; warlock and rising star politician Gabriel Blackbird and children, who got an invitation on account of their close bonds with Phillip; and Roland Pelletier, who was neither friend nor family, but whose presence would inevitably add a touch of excitement to the gathering.
Rosalind ushered them all into the main salon. The guests soon started mingling and helping themselves to the food and drinks. The grand piano in the corner began weaving enchanting melodies as prince Feanor's talented hands glided over the keys. Captivated by the music, some of the guests took to the dance floor.
The celebration was off to a promising start!
