Jak's body has always been pretty odd. His muscles contrast starkly to his lack of body fat, all jutting bones and bulging pecs. And it's not like Jinx mapped the guy's whole body or anything. They've fucked, what, five times? But something about this… Jak flops forward a bit, trying to move off, but Jinx holds him in place. “Wait.” He feels the hard spot on Jak's stomach again. It's… not muscle. Or it is, but there's something underneath… “Holy shit are you pregnant?”

It’s WIP Wednesday, time for a little accountability, sharing your work, and getting a kick in the pants.

I know I'm comparing apples and oranges but I like the way Gentleman Jack handles it's tory protagonists much more than I like how Downton Abbey handles them. You see Anne being casually dismissive with her staff all the time, pushing them around, re-naming them on a whim, saying it's unfair how poor men can vote but she can't... It's so obvious that she is horribly classist and even though she has many gentle moments with poor people, you never forget it.

A squawk rouses Sig from slumber. The king's new "advisor" stands in the window. "Rise and catch the worms," Pecker calls, "Damas has requested your presence!" Sig shoots up from the bed, already doing up armor straps. In less than thirty seconds, the warrior is out the door, stepping into the clear, hot day that awaits. Immediately, Sig's thoughts turn to Jak. Hopefully, nothing's gone wrong in the medical ward. But Damas probably wouldn't send his advisor to deliver news like this.  Stepping off the elevator, the first thing Sig sees is Jak, seated with his feet in the water. Thank the Precursors.
