PAGEANT CHAT!!! I'd say in my over 20+ years in pageantry from designing gowns, coaching one on one to producing & directing pageants, about 95% of the clients I've encountered are real, genuine beauty queens, beautiful and radiant both inside & out making positive impacts in the world. Then there are those very few minority case left overs that make pageantry look bad with their disingenuous, self-absorbed, unauthentic and self-entitled attitudes that give pageantry a bad wrap. Just because they may have won a crown, doesn't automatically make them a "beauty" queen. Beauty comes from within first then exudes to the outer. Many of those few are just "posers" and focus a high priority on selfie photos versus focusing their attention on doing something positive in the world with their crown and title. Yes, I think it is highly important to know the difference between a giver and a taker. A giver is someone who will give up their time for things. They will give up their free time to help other people out. They have a gift of giving. Personally, I am a giver. I like to help people out in my spare time. That basically keeps me busy. I do not like to just sit around and do nothing. If someone needs me, I will be there for them. Sometimes we need to stop being selfish and give ourselves up. I would rather be a giver than taker. A taker is someone who keeps taking things from their peers. A taker is someone who asks to borrow things and never return them. Being a taker could leave a bad taste in someone’s mouth. My results from the test says that I am a giver but I need to take a little bit. To be a taker ever, occasionally, to me is not bad. I just would not do it all the time. I would say be a taker once a week. Never get so use to it that it is all you decide to do. I can honestly say that by being a giver can make someone a better person at heart. This is just my opinion I feel that a giver is far better than a taker. Both being a giver and a taker can come naturally. It is ones choice to decide which they want to be.
