Of Songbirds and Gypsies

The thing is … i truly think they really, honestly liked each other. I think they were connected in a way that not many people can understand. This is the kind of story where they would have probably never even met let alone become friends if it wasn‘t for the unique setting of the band they were in. In their own words, ‘We were very different personalities.‘ Stevie was that outgoing, very public figure, developing her stage persona, dancing and singing center of stage being the focalizer of every show. Meanwhile, Chris was rather a private person, writing those beautiful songs but never really being out in the open, rather always hiding behind her keyboard(s). Still they had found themselves all of a sudden, thrown together into that puddle of a male dominated industry, making their way as the only two girls fronting a rock band. And while I am sure their personalities were fundamentally different, I also believe that they were both really kind, loving and caring people which glued them even closer together. There never was any such energy as envy, or jealousy between them. All this can be very much seen in the way they behaved around each other and in the way the band blossomed since the two of them were thrown together. I don’t think they would have both made it in the band through all the personal troubles, break ups and all the heartbreak if they didn’t have each other to hold on to and to rely on. In my opinion their bond shows on the many candid pictures taken and how they talk about each other in interviews and such. The tribute Stevie payed to Chris after her death with this incredible performance of ’Landslide’ in one of her recent shows and how she breaks down crying in the end — to me — says it all! It‘s a rare, incredibly beautiful bond they were sharing and there only remains hope that they‘ll be reunited some day. As Stevie said ‘see you on the other side, my love‘

connor is 16 (turning 17)

kyle is 16 (has been 16 for like four months)

eddie is also 16 (just turned 16)

jason is 15 (turning 16)

rose is 15 (kinda in the middle of 15 and 16)

Truth be told 80s hair weren‘t kind to anybody, I respect the era but the hairstyles were awful :‘)

Quite frankly — so were the clothes but again — it was how it was.

Nonetheless nothing can overshadow those two ladies beautiful faces.
