Cybersix? It's a comic series (that I've read is bad) and while she doesn't turn into a panther her brother is. I watched some of the show and it's pretty good, but I've read the comics are..... Not so pleasant

no :( it's a way older series than that, with art that i remembering looking like it would be from the 60s-70s era of manga and seeing how my search is going, i don't believe it was adapted into any sort of animated format

the girl is like from what i remember part of a special family who can turn into kitty cats (she's like an uber rare panther) and she gets kidnapped by a scientist who has spent her life trying to prove the kitty cat people are rare and her love interest is the one who sells her out and it's very dramatic and very 70s manga writing style lol
