Screenshot from the real behind the scenes featurette of "The Sandman" gosh that room set looks nice and I love how crew always makes sure to tell a story with the puppets with Sandy looking out at the moon prop "outside" I really wish I could see his puppet in the flesh. This inspired a whole personal little fictional story of mine of this sandman puppet in the real world in this exact set coming to life and entertaining the other puppets in the room.

God, we lost Paul Berry too soon. Fuck cancer.

GERAL: gina é a mais nova dos king, criada para ser a filha perfeita, a garota exemplar. ela já fez patinação, depois foi pra ginástica artística e desde os tempos de adolescente ela comanda um podcast chamado ginatales, onde ela compartilha histórias sobre a vida esportiva de um jeito mais "fantasioso" como se fossem contos mesmo, inclusive, é patrocinada pela redbull e está no spotify.

PECULIARIDADES: a família da mãe dela é de supermodelos que queriam MUITO ter sangue real, e se auto denominam "rainhas", todos são britânicos. aí, a mãe dela, guinevere, conheceu um cara lá da coreia e pá se apaixonou, quebrou o ciclo. fez aula de etiqueta por anos e consegue manter o cabelo loiro extremamente hidratado com algum tipo de mágica.

HABILIDADES: ótima oratória, extremamente eloquente, criativa e elegante. ótima bailarina também, não tão boa ginasta assim mas ela tenta bastante. também consegue cortar cabelos como uma profissional.

VIDA ROMÂNTICA E SEXUALIDADE: gosta do que não presta, porque ela não presta. a típica garota gostosa que faz pouco dos outros e gosta de ser idolatrada, mas quando as coisas ficam sérias de verdade, ela vaza, porque é covarde. não costuma durar com pessoas decentes, porque ela gosta de encontrar alguém que seja tão ruim quanto ela e ver quem ganha. vem muito da criação dela, ela não aprendeu a amar direito, porque a mãe dela queria que ela fosse uma cobra. ela é difícil. não parece, porque ela finge muito, mas ela é. sexualmente falando, o foco principal sempre foram rapazes, porque ela é particularmente mais afável com garotas.

MENTALIDADE: é tudo sobre ela, e, quando alguém consegue achar o coração dessa filha da puta, é tudo sobre essa pessoa também. a gina tem um amor meio "frio", meio distante. externamente, ela é uma pessoa gentil e educada, atenciosa se ela acha que você vai servir de algo ou se ela só não quer ficar sozinha, então ela te torna o melhor amigo dela do mês (exceto pelo jinki que é o melhor amigo dela da vida) mas é porque ela aprendeu que é assim que se agrada, mas ela facilmente some da sua vida em dois tempos. ela não é o tipo de pessoa ruim que vai te magoar de propósito, ela só não se importa com ninguém o suficiente, e por isso, ela acaba sendo cruel. ela guarda muito ressentimento dos pais e do irmão e começou a ignorar o que ela sentia pra não deixar eles "vencerem", então é assim que ela enfrenta o mundo. sentimentos bons ou fragilidade são coisas que, eventualmente, quando ela mostra, ela se arrepende no mesmo momento. ela não tem maturidade emocional, só mecanismos de defesa.

ESTILO: cores bonitas, saias curtas, blusas coladas e saltos altos. qualquer roupa que ressalte as curvas do corpo dela e deixem evidente que ela é atraente.

Do you think sandpeople/men would be pro marijuana or not?

This is one of the funniest asks I've ever gotten and bless you for gifting me with the image of Sandman and Sally just blazing it.

A few people say they like a "The Sandman" live action adaption or a full length version based on it , but what I'm surprised no one has said is they want a 2d animated adaption of it likely also a full length continuation. Think about *that* The Sandman has great potential to be a fantastic 2d animated character even more so because theres literally no limit on what you can do in 2d animation. He's a fun and and interesting character design to play around with. I wouldn't even mind a computer animated take although I'd still prefer 2d

I would absolutely be down for a 2D Sandman. Stop motion would be my first choice of course, but he'd look absolutely beautiful in traditional animation, maybe something with an oil paint look.

so how do you picture a baby Sandman yin your head. How could he be designed in a way that identifies him as a important member of his species? Or identical to his brothers just like his children are?

I've always thought that the babies we see at the end were super young, and that as time goes by -- as is the case with most baby birds -- they get less grotesque.

So I think baby Sandman was probably a little ball of blue fluff.

I've wanted to make a comic story about Berry's Sandman and his bond with his oldest daughter which I haven't named, so it's cool to suggest me one. I want the story to have warm actually touching moments with the daughter and father stuff, while maintaining that Sandman is still a threat and feared by human kids on Earth.

I don't want to just be a cutesy take on a big bad guy, I don't want girl chick to be obviously innocent and finger wag to her dad and siblings about their sadism, (her bros still be just innocent too and not know that a another creature was hurt in the process of getting their meal)

I want to explore Sandman's less obviously scary side to people, where he's just kinda just a feathered dude who makes clothes for his kids (thus the feather suit he wears himself) out of his own, sings in his moon language about the other creatures of Moon we don't know of, and has his own games he plays with them.

He tells her about what he's learnt of our world over centuries of his exploits, he gives her the opportunity to express her own thoughts and ideas and he learns something from her he wouldn't have otherwise.

Most of all I just want to explore the world of something that isn't and doesn't have to be just like us. He is allowed to still be a menacing moon faced vulture who resides on the dark side of the moon and still like to give miss Sandy Jr a hi five and sometimes just have a nice chat with her at the end of a successful night about his favourite star while she's tucked under his softer down chest feathers.

She's like a 12 year old and her bros are like 6 and 7

I LOVE that Sandman has shadow shifting abilities in the film. He definitely plays hide and seek with his kids and wife using shadow crawl to crawl around the house or something xd

Ahhh, yes!

It's a wildly unfair advantage so a lot of the time he'll let them win. Sometimes he reappears out of the shadows and snatches them up and tells them that there's nowhere they can hide from his love.

I love to imagine different ways Sandman and his chicks snuggle together. I think he seemed too tall to curl on his belly in the movie, but as he is more humanoid , it's more amusing to imagine he sits on his chicks like a actual bird.

I like that! Just folds his weird legs up under him and tucks them under his feathers while singing to them in a language that doesn't exist anywhere but the surface of the moon.

What childhood memories does Sandman share with Sally?

I don't know that he has too many exciting childhood memories to share (not that Sally has any at all), but one that always stands out to him is looking down at the Earth from above, especially the ocean. For some reason, he got it into his head that there was another moon at the bottom of it.

Sally muses that she's never been to the bottom of the ocean. Maybe there is.

I'm most interested in the third Sandchild who hides his face. I loved making up my own backstories about the Sandman as a kid. The image of a distinctive looking I should say design for a baby Sandman, is the cutest thing ever. I picture his child self or chick self according to your take on him to be a very ambitious and curious kid who always asked his father questions about the moon and the Earth, and all that yearning to see a new world he did as a kid is finally satisfied properly by Sally.

Oh, baby Sandman was totally full of questions and always into everything; I headcanon that because he was an only child, his father was able to answer every one.

Also, he probably had to be physically restrained from leaping off the side of the moon in his excitement to see what was down there.

Really cute idea: He looms directly over the front of the bed, only his passionate yet ghoulish yellow eyes visible, to tease her playfully at night with his bogeyman like identity amongst the living/humans.

I love that! It makes Sally laugh and it's almost always a prelude to joining her in bed.
