Okay, gimme a minute to fanboy a bit over a book I read a while back called Common Bonds. I love a good anthology, especially one written by multiple authors, and when I discovered there was one centered around aromantics? You can bet my little aroace heart was very happy.

Having characters actually say they don't experience romantic love was very refreshing for me. While not every story has a character explicitly say they're aro, every story does focus on platonic love, as opposed to romantic, with the relationships the characters share with their family and friends being centre stage. I was all over the story about the found family pack of werewolves.

I also like the fact that not every aro is also ace. Aromantic allosexuals don't get enough mention, if you ask me. Other queer identities also feature, of course. The numerous non-binary people made me very happy.
