Its headcanon time kids!

I wanna talk about Johnny & piercings. In part bc I totally can see him being That Kid who proved they were cool by doing dumb shit like their own piercings, as previously speculated (by me) but to him it would just be part of who be is, whatever the reason, edgy teen or not.

Given there's 0% chance they'd let him keep them going to war, he'd be forced to let them heal over. That would piss most people off to begin with. To Johnny it ended up just being another part of his individuality they killed, more scars he shouldn't have. Things that can't be put back to how they were before they fucked him and everyone like him.

So any piercings he does get post war are close to the originals and more updated to his new Aesthetic. He also has people around him who can probably do it for him (or at least help) now. Not that he doesn't still do most of them himself, but he's gotta be more careful this time round. And now instead of an expression of pure freedom, it's become reclamation.

Also you can't convince me this fucker didn't get a tongue ring bc you just KNOW he did, its at LEAST a 20% increase in sex appeal. One of the few he didn't have before bc he's stupid, but not pierce-his-own-tongue stupid.

Theres also something to be said about the sense of bodily autonomy that comes w/ body modifications. To me its comforting- don't gotta worry about my wardrobe to give off a certain Vibe. Its just part of who I am, and I chose it bc I like it. In a world where I feel no control at all, its important to me to have that. And I mean he has tattoos for sure so its not a far stretch. Idk if johnny would think that deeply on it tho lmao

So yes this is absolutely me projecting but when am I not doing that? Of course this is also heavily inspired by the mod that, yknow. Gives him piercings (pls check it out and support the creator 💜💜)

TLDR Johnny having piercings in pre and post war contexts could have some fun implications in relation to his trauma and the feeling of control in a world where we have none, the crux of Johnnys problems and the stem for his most self destructive behaviors 🙃
