...a show I started watching in season 1... lost track of... have never fully caught up on...but here I am watching new episodes live & catching up on the network's app...

...which is incredibly reflective of my relationship with The WB/The CW shows over the years actually...

hi friend!!!! thanks for asking I love talking about tv shows 😂 (she says, on the blog that is 99% tv shows)

I am currently toward the end of my first watch of The X-Files! I only watch it when I can pay attention because it's not familiar and I liveblog it for some friends, so it's probably the slowest I've ever gone through a show.

When I'm giffing or doing literally anything else, it's whatever I'm in the mood for! I am the kind of person who jumps around and watches random episodes of everything, but I did start a proper rewatch of The Mentalist a few days ago and I've been having that on as I gif. That's the only one I've been doing in order, though, which has been interesting because there are many episodes that I've only seen once. I've also started watching episodes of Castle again after a bit of a break (because I couldn't handle it 😂) and a lot of Bones as well.

I’ve been reading and watching A TON of slice-of-life, cozy, small-town dramas lately, and MAN, do I wish more of them were on TV nowadays.

They often have such unique and sweet and romantic character studies that deserve a lot of love.

Until the actors & writers get deserved fair deals and a chance to tell MORE stories, I’m grateful for all the creatives who made what we have in shows like Hart of Dixie, Sweet Magnolias, Gilmore Girls, FNL, and Virgin River.

TV is better and more comforting because they exist.

My annual fall rewatch is Hart Of Dixie NOT Gilmore Girls...

I cannot stand that much Lorelei, she's unbearable to me I'm sorry! I can watch some episodes here and there (especially anything involving Jess) or I could tolerate a rewatch but skipping lots of episodes per season, especially the last seasons

But Hart of Dixie? I can watch everything, it feeds my soul with a beautiful ending

Just watched Season 2 of The Mentalist for the first time...

The found family of the CBI ❤️

Gahhhh the slow dance scene between Jane and Lisbon. Also a little piece of her breaks every time she has to tell him about a Red John murder.

Van Pelt and Rigsby are done so well! Their story is background but it's got such good progress and it continues between episodes without having to spell it all out.

Also slow clap for all of Cho's amazing clap backs. He's such a legend.

I love how season one landed us into the unit dynamic without info dumping but their backgrounds now trickle into the stories and give us such great world-building.

I thought the Bosco storyline could have gone in for another few episodes like a mid season finale.

Having Red John release Jane is such a good twist and this show just keeps hitting so well.

Also love using the same lot as Gilmore Girls, Hart of Dixie, PLL. I laughed so hard when Lukes was a hardware again.

Seriously this is my new favourite show.

Lisbon and Jane are the slow burn of the century. I was looking at old interviews where they and the writers were like nah there's no love there. But seriously it's done so well that the shippers can ship while the people who don't care can still enjoy the show. But their dynamic has me by the throat.

2. What piece of media inspired you the most?

I think during the first half of the year it was The Mentalist, then The X Files because those are the two that most consumed my brain.

oh, I love so many... I don't want to choose! The ones in the #made for me tag have a special place in my heart. and this one uses some of my favorite lines with my beloved Kate Beckett and wrecked me (and my friend thought I had made it hehe) so the ones with the memories attached. But there are soooo many gorgeous sets that I refuse to actually choose hehe
