Technically yes, but in Buffy lycanthropy isn’t genetic so while they can be considered half, they don’t actually change every month

But I do like the idea that their senses are a little stronger and I think during the full moon cycle they get a little hungrier and they stay up later at night

How did you and Giles find out that you were expecting?

With our oldest, Juliet, Giles was very convinced I was possessed by demon again because of the symptoms I presented (strange dreams, exhaustion). And I eventually had nausea and I was like “this ain’t adding up” and took a pregnancy test and it came back positive

With our son, that was actually Juliet. She was very clingy and cuddly and kept resting her head on my stomach. And eventually she pointed at it and said “baby” and we were really confused until I took a test that came out positive

Okay but do you and Giles have any kids/are you planning? 👀

In canon we currently have two kids! Our oldest is our daughter, Juliet, and our youngest is our son, Bernard!

Okay, now I'm curious, what are Juliet and Bernard up to at that time? (Also, I worked it out and as Term 1 in Britain starts in September, so the twins would begin university in 2027 - due to their birthday being in October. So, they'd be there for a month and then turn 19, meaning they'd graduate at 23 - in 2029.)

So at current time Juliet would be 19 and Bernard would be 17

Juliet would be in her first year of university and studying theology, focusing most on the Abrahamic religions but also delving into demonology. I think in her later university years she gets mixed up in the slayer stuff (Giles is NOT happy about it either)

Bernard is a bit of a history nerd so honestly he’d want to pursue that once he goes, but his biggest focus is soccer (football) and wanting a career in it

I’ll do some Giles kids!

Even though the use of magic is banned in the house, if Juliet ever decided to get into witchcraft she’d have a natural gift for it because of her dad

Bernard grew up to look a lot like Giles despite not looking like him for the first 16 years of his life

When they were 10 and 8 respectively, Juliet and Bernard invented their own language so Rupert and I wouldn’t know what they’re talking about. They even had their own written language

also. yarrow's genetics are a mess. they're 10% fae, 40% human (due to the soul link) and then 50% vampire/demon?

Yes! I can’t name all of them off the top of my head but I can tell you:

Bella Hopper (bisexual)

Victoria Becker (demiromantic lesbian)

At least one of the Meeks kids is gay

Juliet Giles (bisexual)

Bernard Giles (gay)

okay but Juliet being scared of thunder and to try and calm her down I tell her “it’s just the angels bowling” since that’s what I was told growing up. And Giles just “I’m not sure angels bowl” and he gets a look from me

Nic, what year(s) were your kids with Giles born? What are their relationships with the rest of the scooby gang like, if they have any?

So I don’t have solid dates yet. I know our daughter Juliet was born in 2004 and our son Bernard is born in 2006. I’m not entirely sure about the exact dates yet, I have some down but those are placeholders for the moment. I am tempted to have it where I was pregnant with Juliet during the series finale and we (or maybe just Giles) didn’t know yet. I’ll figure that part out eventually, but they were both born after the series ended and they’re two years apart

As far as relationships with the gang goes, I think they’d have unique relationships with each member that grows and changes as they get older

Jules is definitely closest to Buffy, who she views as a big sister. They talk regularly and Buffy gives her all sorts of advice about dating and boys. I think their relationship shifts a bit when Jules is about 14/15 and has her rebellious streak against Giles. Because until that point Buffy was always the big sister and best friend, but given the age difference between them she started to take more of an aunt role in Juliet’s life once the rebelling starts. They’re still really close though

Juliet and Willow is sweet because when Jules develops a fascination with magic (behind Giles’s back), she goes to “Auntie Willow” for support and help on how to dive in. They also share a huge love of knowledge and books, and Willow was originally hesitant to teach Jules anything magic related. But Willow is definitely her nerd buddy

Juliet and Xander is… interesting. They’re not exactly close, but if she wants to have a fun time she can count on Xander. He also definitely tells her and Bernard exaggerated stories of helping Buffy with slaying

Bernard definitely sees Buffy as a big sister too, but he’s not as close to her as Jules is. He goes to Buffy for advice with girls as well, but mostly “what do they like?” It’s sweet though, and Buffy loves to spend time with both kids when she visits us in London

Willow and Bernard are also sweet, but for different reasons. She was absolutely his first crush when he was about 7 or 8. He got over it fairly quickly, but it’s still something that made him close to her because he found an odd love of chemistry through spending time with her. He’s more of a sports guy, but chemistry is his guilty pleasure and he definitely entered science fairs in primary school with the help of Willow

Xander is definitely like an older to Bernard, the brother he never had. Xander introduced him to American football and wrestling, which Giles will never forgive Xander for. And in exchange, Bernard introduced Xander to rugby. I will say Bernard isn’t the best at controlling impulses and sometimes does stuff that gets him in trouble, and it’s exasperated on the occasions Xander visits

okay but Buffy flying out to London one weekend of each month when Juliet is 9 and Bernard is 7 cause Giles asked her to help teach the kids self defense and he’s too old to do it himself at this point (the man would be a year off from 60)

thinking about Giles on the phone with Buffy while he does some research for her and he’s whispering as he tells her what he’s found. And she asks why he’s whispering, and Giles says “because Juliet is asleep in my lap and I don’t want to wake her”

Giles making dinner one night, and he calls into the living room to let us know it’s almost ready. But there’s no response so he goes to check on us but we aren’t there. That’s when he hears noise outside, and looks out the door to see me, 6 year old Juliet and 4 year old Bernard playing in the rain and jumping in puddles. And Giles can’t help but laugh and shake his head before going back to finish cooking

And like 20 minutes later I come back in the house soaked and covered in mud from the knees down while holding onto two little muddy children. And I just call out “Rupert? I think bath time is a little early tonight”

okay but one night after the kids are tucked in, Giles and I get into a heated make out session where I end up pinning him against the kitchen counter. And as it starts to get more heated, he hears something and sees tiny 4 year old Juliet standing in the kitchen doorway. We quickly pull apart before asking her what’s wrong, and instead of answering she just “mummy, what were you doing to daddy?”

And I’m like “oh, just… adult stuff. Don’t worry about it” and pick her up as she says she had a bad dream. We take her back to bed and comfort her, and Giles and I never get to finish our make out
