Municipal Building Designed for the offices of city government, this granite structure was completed in 1913 from plans by McKim, Mead & White. The symbolic figure, Civic Fame, atop the tower and the other sculptured elements are the work of Adolph Alexander Weinman, an estimated weight of 65,000 tons is supported by 106 pneumatic caissons sunk 112 feet below water level.
