I believe it’s Ēostre (Ostara) that is the “easter goddess” with the hares and eggs. She’s germanic and likely originated as a dawn god and thus makes a lot of sense as a spring god. There is not a lot known about her, mainly one account of her celebration during her month (which had become easter by then) and also a wealth of place and people names that share the same etymology. Baby bunnies and (’wild’ bird) eggs are very much symbols of spring time regardless
We have far more info on Ishtar and she was a much bigger deal. ‘Ishtar’ ‘began’ as Inanna, who is very much a Mesopotamian god. She was ‘the’ god in Sumaria. Big deal, many attributes/domains/whatever we call them.
It’s that time of year again. Courtesy of digitalhammurabi.com
Addition about the image, courtesy of Twitter user @lui_log: wrt the background image, which is a stone plaque showing a winged goddess flanked by owls: “Also, we don't know whether this is a depiction of Ishtar, as the piece has been looted, thus has no archaeological context that could point us to whom it shows. Nor does it bear an inscription. The owls could mean that it is Ishtar's sister Ereshkigal, Goddess of the Underworld.”
#not magic#love beauty war and fertility#Gigalmesh refused her cruelly#she 'died' and her consort took her place for half the year and his sister the other half#so the image could be about her journey to the underworld or about her sister ruling the underworld#(several sources used that relief for Ishtar/Inanna so the OP using that image is excusable but the original text (white) is nonsense)#anyway summing her up by what she's god 'of' is like summing zeus up as god 'of ligtning'#their stories are far more complex than that#and people viewed the world differently#but - yeah - Ishtar is not the precursor of easter and wouldn't have had much interest in it#I spent way too much time looking this up#but the post pretty obviously thinks Ishtar is Eostre and shuffles them together

I’m John Cena / Druig
Summary: Using your ability to annoy Druig.
(Reader can turn invisible but not just appearance it’s their entire presence.)
Warnings: grammar, short
Pairing:Druig x GN Reader
————
“What the…” Druig flinches as something hits him in the head. Looking around seeing no one, not feeling any presence.
*bink*
“Raisins?” Nothing happens for a moment, he turns back to the book he was reading. Until a few minutes later he gets hit again.
“Oi-”
*bink*bink*bink*
“Alright, that’s enough-” He tries to order only for whatever it was to rapid fire raisins on him.
“Enough!” Angered his eyes flicker as he tries to control whatever is doing this but, it was no use. As a boisterous laughter echos around the room, a shift in the space reveals the person behind it, Y/N.
“Oh my goodness! You should have seen your face!” You say in between laughs, as Druig rolls his eyes.
“I should have known it was you.” He stalks forward slowly as you’re calming down from your giggling fit. You realize he’s getting closer, and sober up, inching away. A smirk grows on his face, you raise your hands in defense.
“Hey, come on now all jokes here right,Haha…right?” Your closer to the exit now and prepare for a break.
“I’ll give you a five second head start 5,4,3-” You almost run over Gigalmesh in the hall as you sprint down it.
“Woah!”
“Makkari, help me!”
“Sorry, no can do” She signs amused.
“Druig and Y/n! what did I say about running in the halls?!” Ajak scolds.
“Sorry!” You turn a sharp left, trying to go invisible.
“Oh no you don’t!”
“Ahhh!!”
