It's kinda creepy how Spinel's taken over Amethio's life. Generally, Gibeon has shown much more favor towards Spinel, to the point where Gibeon even refuses to hear Amethio out about the whole trapping incident (like, and this episode shows Crave didn't even fully abandon his family, he really just emotionally checked out on them) and even seems to have a more personable relationship with his father, who wouldn't even look his own child in the eye. (And tho he wouldn't know about this, Spinel had tried to kill his son! Do you think Spinel cares if Amethio was unable to escape? I don't think he did!)

Seriously, the family situation for Amethio is so shit 😣

So, it turns out, at least from what's going around on the Anipoke Japanese Twitter, that Crave is Amethio's father after all! (I know that was a popular theory when Crave was introduced, but I had some doubts since I was expecting Amethio's dad to look more like Gibeon, like Amethio does.)

Seems the relationship between both father and son is pretty cold, not just from Amethio's side. Crave won't even look at Amethio.
