"What-" Before she could say anything, she was pull away. The building went up sky high, the sound piercing the ears of everyone near. Laura herself let out a scream as she was pulled away, ducking and covering her head. Her brother did the same, he tried to pull some people away with him but most met a gruesome fate. When the dust settled, Laura turned to look at the warehouse. "Oh god..." Bile filled her stomach, her throat was suddenly dry. She felt like she was going to be sick.

A sob raked through her, Laura turned and hid her face in Gabriel's chest. Everything had gone wrong. The distant sound of sirens was heard. Vincenzo, in his own shocked state, turned to Gabriel. "Take her home. They can't see we're here, we'll be arrested on sight." Laura looked up from where she was hiding. "What about you?" Vincenzo explained that he and Santino would lay low for the week, they would meet again soon.

"Are you okay? Did anything get to you?" Laura checked Gabriel quickly, hands moving fabric around to see if any shrapnel had nicked him. Her hands rested on his face, turning it left and right. Laura did not want to lose him, she would be lost if she did. "You saved my life...."

Despite all the time he'd spent around the twins, watching them argue was still the most exhausting thing. When the attention was turned to him, he attempted to hide the surprise on his face. "Yes--retaliate, but you have to give some time. They might be expecting an immediate one. You have to do it when the least expect it." Gabriel felt as if he was betraying his own family by giving them this advice. He'd dug himself far too deep into this family.

"For once, please, can you two stop fighting? If you want to get out of here alive we need to move, now!" He knew it was mere minutes before half of Laura's family was lying in a smoking heap at her feet.

The feeling of his phone in his pocket had him instinctively reaching for it. His chest ached at what he was reading. They knew. Of course they did. It was 8:30--he had to get moving soon. Gabriel swallowed hard before returning his phone to his pocket.

"Laura, I am not giving you an option now." He grabbed her hand protectively. He ushered her away from the scene without waiting for any protests and glanced over his shoulder to ensure a majority were following.

Shortly after getting her to safety, the ground shook beneath their feet and the warehouse was blown sky high. "My god..."
